Senior hero Victory Venkatesh is known for wrapping up films in lightning speed. His last outing Guru released early this year and ended up as a decent grosser all over. The actor has been on a break from the past seven months and did not announce any film officially. So what’s actually cooking there?

Venky has been quite busy listening to scripts and is said to have keen on some script, but finally, he is making three films to roll soon. Venky signed a film in the direction of a debutant and it is said to be banked much on VFX effects, which we have already revealed. Suresh Babu confirmed this project during the recent promotions of Nene Raju Nene Mantri.

The second interesting project is that Venky loved a plot narrated by Puri Jagannadh and asked him to come with the final draft after which he will take a call. This is going to be an action drama that will most possibly showcase Venky as a police officer, a character that gave good hits to him.

Along with these, Venky has been quite interested in the remake of Tamil blockbuster Vikram Vedha which created ripples across Kollywood recently. He is in plans to team up with brother’s son Rana Daggubati for the film which is currently in pre-production stage.

Venky is all set to speed up with three interesting projects which will start rolling soon, revealed sources close to him. These three projects also show that Venky is in no mood to slow down from work.

Other day three interesting films have released at Telugu box office and a couple of them followed an interesting pattern in the likes of Baahubali 2. Dividing a film into two equal halves, one is given for cinema lovers and other one is for TV audiences. Wonder how? Here it goes.

If you could notice in Baahubali 2, more than the grand sets, heavy visual effects and breathtaking stunts, it is this emotional thread that worked big time. To woo family audiences who glue to TV sets for TV serials, Rajamouli has woven a conflict in the form of Atta and Kodalu fight between Ramya Krishna and Anushka. And now, everyone is following the same.

Take Nene Raju Nene Mantri for example, the film has ‘savati poru’ has a concept for the second half. Both Kajal and Catherine are at logger heads, Kajal as wife and Catherine as a lover, to woo back Rana Daggubati into their fold. This is one interesting concept we always see in TV serials. At the same time, Jaya Janaki Nayaka has Rakul Preet being targeted with ‘pride’ and how hero solves it is the case. ‘Pride’ (paruvu prathishta) is one concept that always finds in TV serials as audiences love to watch it.

On the other hand, LIE movie reminds more of CID serial that is being aired on a Hindi TV which recently got dubbed into Telugu too. As the second halves of current releases are completely targeting TV audiences or we have to say they are sounding like TV serials. And the first half is filled with action, fun, heroism and others that satisfy fans who love to watch bigger things on the big screen. Is this a new kind of formula? Maybe!!

Even before his ongoing films Spyder and Bharath Ane Nenu are finished, Mahesh Babu’s next and his landmark 25th film is all set to be launched tomorrow (August 14) on the auspicious eve of Krishnashtami. The untitled crazy film will have direction by Vamshi Paidipally, of Oopiri fame.

The film is jointly produced by Ashwini Dutt and Dil Raju on Vyjayanthi Films, Sri Venkateswara Creations respectively. It can be recalled that Ashwini Dutt has launched Mahesh Babu in Raja Kumarudu (1999) and share very good bond with Mahesh since then. Even Dil Raju produced Mahesh’s Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu and the duo has good equation.

Since Mahesh has a sentiment to not to attend the pooja ceremony of his films, he will not attend tomorrow. Mahesh’s wife and former actress Namrata would attend on behalf of Mahesh.

More details about the film’s cast and crew are yet to be announced.

Director Teja is known for his outspokenness and candidness. He is at it again. Now he reveals that how he complained against Suresh Babu to none other than his son Rana Daggubati.

“After the story is finished, I’ve first met Rana and gave full narration. He immensely liked it and asked me when we are going to start. After that Suresh Babu met and suggested to do some corrections in the story. I went to Rana and told him that we don’t need Suresh Babu and I’ve other producers Bharath, Kiran. After that, I was called to their guest house where both Suresh Babu and Rana were present. Seeing both, I told them that I’d do film only as per my liking. I said, I’d leave if they don’t agree for it. Suresh Babu convinced me finally,” said Teja. Teja also added that he agreed to Suresh Babu and made some corrections after that. This is before the film hit the floors.

Usually, no one in industry dares to talk about or against Suresh Babu openly but once again Teja proved he is poles apart from other filmmakers.

Producer Dil Raju is toying with the idea of entering into politics. If TRS sources are to be believed, Telangana Chief Minister KCR has made a big offer to producer Dil Raju and invited him into TRS. Floored with Dil Raju’s recent film Fidaa that is set against Nizamabad backdrop and predominantly shot in Banswada, KCR said to have impressed with Raju and his love for Telangana.

Reportedly, KCR evinced interest to field Dil Raju in the 2019 general elections from TRS for Lok Sabha. Dil Raju said to have positively responded to KCR’s proposal. If buzz is to be believed, Dil Raju would either contest from Zahirabad Parliament constituency or Nizamabad Parliament constituency.

Raju hails from Nizamabad district. He is one of the most successful distributor, exhibitor and producer who made his own mark. Belongs to Reddy community, Raju has always maintained good relations with all sections of people in his native district.

Several producers in the past have made foray into politics. Leading producers like Rama Naidu have represented Lok Sabha from TDP. It needs to be seen whether Dil Raju join the bandwagon or not. It is learnt that nothing has been confirmed yet.

Mega Star Chiranjeevi has called director Boyapati Sreenu over the success talk of Jaya Janaki Nayaka. Appreciating Boyapati, Chiru said to have spoken at length with the Legend director on phone on Saturday. Apparently, Chiru is impressed with the way Boyapati molded Bellamkonda Srinivas and how grandeur the movie was and how lavishly it was shot.

Chiru extended congratulations to Boyapati and wished him all the best as the film is said to be doing strong in B and C centres. It can be noted that a film with Boyapati is due for Chiranjeevi and it would roll onto the floors once Chiru wraps up his new film Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy that starts shooting from August 15.

In meantime, Boyapati may either do a film for Balayya – ahead of general elections – as per the old commitment or he may even work on a film with Akhil. As of now, Boyapati has kept all his options open. Let’s wait and see. Meanwhile, Boyapati is on cloud nine with Chiru’s personal telephone call and is rejoicing the success. He is now on a success tour along with the film’s cast, crew from Sunday.

Comedian and TDP supporter Venu Madhav was seen in TDP rally in Nandyal by-poll. Speaking to media, Venu Madhav said that he has not come to campaign for the party but instead he said that he has come to verify how much ‘majority’ does TDP get in the by-poll.

“I’m here to gauge the majority of TDP candidate Brahmananda Reddy. I’m not campaigning and asking votes,” said Venu Madhav indicating that TDP’s victory in the by-poll is confirmed.

Venu didn’t stop there. He said that Jagan is ‘campaigning’ for TDP and Chandrababu Naidu garu in the by-election. “Jagan Mohan Reddy is campaigning well for TDP. He has been chanting Chandrababu Naidu garu’s name a lot. He is making it so easy for us that even Chandrababu Naidu garu doesn’t need to come here to campaign. Thank you Jagan,” said Venu Madhav.

Venu Madhav has been with TDP for longtime. Many times, Chandrababu also lauded Venu Madhav for his oratory skills and public-speaking skills on stages.
