Most Watched TV Show: Rana Beats NTR!
The ninth episode of Rana Daggubati’s No.1 Yaari has outmaneuvered NTR hosted Bigg Boss Telugu last week and went onto clinch the title of Most Watched Television show in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
No.1 Yaari, aired on Gemini TV, has recorded a highest TVR of 10.3 whereas NTR’s Bigg Boss is limited to 6.23. The show that hosted Rana Daggubati and saw Lakshmi Manchu, Taapsee Pannu as guests achieved this feat. This is considered as a great achievement even as NTR’s Bigg Boss was telecast at the same time.
Started with Rajamouli and Shobu Yarlagadda as guests, No.1 Yaari saw a steady rise in its ratings and went onto become the most watched TV show. It managed to make it to the top in just 9 episodes / 9 weeks.
However, on the whole, on an average, NTR’s Bigg Boss reality show is still ruling the roost. Especially, the show is getting abundance ratings in the weekends where NTR is seen.
Will KCR Act Against Dera Baba!
There has been a tense situation in both Punjab and Haryana ever since a special CBI court convicted self-styled Godman, Dera baba Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh and sentenced him to 20 years imprisonment for raping two women. The repercussions of this verdict have now touched the Telangana government too.
On Wednesday, a large number of workers of Left parties and farmer organizations held a protest at the site of the proposed Dera of Gurmeet Baba at Velimedu village, Chityala Mandal in Nalgonda district. They demanded the state government to reclaim the entire land of nearly 50 acres which according to them was assigned to the poor but illegally occupied by Dera Baba over the past one decade. The protesters burned the flexis of Dera Baba and also planted red flags on the land.
Earlier, the Telangana state govt. took back 8 acres of assigned land to the poor, which was allegedly occupied by the supporters of Gurmeet Baba. He had reportedly planned to set up an Ashram, educational institution and old age home at the spot. Locals however were not pleased with the govt. taking back only 8 acres of land as they continued to demand the confiscation of the entire 50 acres that was illegally occupied by Gurmeet Singh.
The Left parties have threatened to launch a massive protest if the state govt. doesn’t act fast and take back the occupied lands.
Prabhas’ Hindi Classes Not Going Well
Baahubali star Prabhas had struggled to speak Hindi during the promotions of Baahubali : The Beginning and Baahubali : The Conclusion. Since then, the actor seems to have decided to learn Hindi.
As he is prepping up for his next pan-India film Saaho, Prabhas said to have decided to learn Hindi and speak Hindi before the release of Saaho.
In fact, Prabhas said to have started taking required Hindi classes. But it is learnt that his plans to learn Hindi is not going smoothly. Due to lack of time and busy working on Saaho, the actor couldn’t accommodate time for Hindi classes.
Prabhas is right now focusing on Saaho where Shraddha Kapoor is paired up with him. The film being helmed by Sujeeth is made with an extensive VFX.

Taking a cue from Bollywood celebs, even Tollywood top stars are hiring stylists for their public appearances. Especially the likes of Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun are looking dapper at public events and also at film events because of this new development.
Joining this bandwagon is none other than Mega hero Ram Charan who is trying to create his own mark. Generally, he prefers to stay in modern looks but switched to traditional attire from the past few months. It is his next movie Rangasthalam 1985 that made the actor change his way of thinking and the secret behind his latest kurta look is out now.
Actually, Ram Charan shot for the first schedule across the banks of Godavari during recent mid-summer and the heat wave has taken a toll on the whole unit. To beat the heat, the actor had to search for cotton kurtas across the region. He could not get branded kurtas after which the actor visited a local fabric store and got them stitched as per his requirement.
Reportedly Charan had a huge relief wearing them during summer after which the actor continued to surprise the audience with his ethnic looking Kurta looks every time even after he’s back to Hyderabad. He’s said to be getting the kurtas stitched at the same store in the Godavari region since then.
Though he prefers to wear jeans and casuals during his public outings is now being spotted in kurtas. There are even talks that Charan is taking leaves from the books of his babai Pawan Kalyan to wear these kurtas as the Janasena leader’s political journey is mostly comprising of those kurtas only. While there is no reason behind Charan wearing kurtas specifically, this is the actual background of it.
