Gorgeous actress Kajal Agarwal wrapped up 50 films in her career and is still counting. She has been busy with many interesting projects and is completely focussed on her next upcoming movies Vivegam and Mersal.

The actress is said to have been charing Rs 1.5 crores for Tamil movies and she is eagerly waiting for the results of these films to take a call on her remuneration. Kajal is in plans to hike her fee if these films fetch positive results. Ajith is the lead actor in Vivegam while Kajal romanced Vijay in Mersal.

While things are completely different with Tollywood as the actress is paid less than a crore for her films. She is said to have taken Rs 80 lakhs for her next Telugu movie MLA which features Kalyanram in the lead role. Her recent Telugu outing Nene Raju Nene Mantri has been declared as a hit and she is in plans to sign more interesting films in Tollywood this year.

Kajal has been last paid huge remuneration for Sardar Gabbar Singh which bombed at the box-office.

Vikram Goud, former AP Minister Mukesh Goud’s son, who got arrested a few weeks ago for allegedly orchestrating a shooting conspiracy on himself, clarified that he had no connection with the drug scandal.

A day after releasing from the Jail on bail, Vikram Goud spoke to media on Sunday and said that film director Puri Jagannath had visited him in the hospital just because they were good friends.

Since the shooting episode happened just when the probe in drugs scandal was at peaks, and also because Puri, the alleged prime accused among Tollywood celebs in drugs case, visited him in the hospital, reports emerged about the young politician’s involvement in drugs case.

‘I don’t have any involvement in the drugs scandal. If the officials are still in doubt, I am ready to voluntarily offer my blood sample for investigation purpose. Rumors are circulating that I have a Pub in Hyderabad, but they are completely false. I have a restaurant in the city, which only meets people’s dining needs. I am in no way involved with drugs,‘ he affirmed.

He also vehemently denied the allegations leveled by police against him of hatching his own shooting conspiracy to escape debts and also to gain voters’ sympathy. The 33-year-old Congress leader added that he wishes to contest the 2024 Assembly elections.

Kalyan Krishna Kurasala created a sensation with his debut film Soggade Chinni Nayana and the movie went on to mint over Rs 50 crores in its final run. Impressed with his work, Nag wanted him to direct Naga Chaitanya and it is how Rarandoi Veduka Chuddam happened.

Surprisingly, the director has not signed his third project and he has been out of reach currently. He has not been present in any recent events but a source revealed that he has been finding it tough to find a producer for his next.

The young director faced immense pressure during the release of Rarandoi Veduka Chuddam and there were talks that Nag was not happy with the output of the film after which he had to chop off some episodes and asked Kalyan to shoot few scenes.

There are even talks that Kalyan Krishna will direct Akhil or the sequel of Soggade Chinni Nayana soon but there has been no update from Annapurna Studios. We have to wait and see when will the young director step out with his next film.

We have already reported that Prabhas has recently begun shooting for “Saaho”. The film’s leading lady, actress Shraddha Kapoor however is unlikely to join the unit any time soon.

Shraddha is currently busy prepping for the biopic of ace Badminton player, Saina Nehwal. The other day, she was snapped coming out of a Badminton training session in Mumbai. She has been getting trained under a senior player for past few months to learn the nuances of the game, and thus look convincing as Saina on screen.

With Shraddha dedicating her full time for Saina’s biopic, the shooting of which is expected to kick off as soon as the actress is done with her training, her joining the sets of Saaho in the next schedule looks doubtful. The shoot, which already got delayed, may receive further jolts as Shraddha has reportedly kept the biopic as her first priority.

She can’t be blamed since she had signed the biopic much before she signed Saaho. Since it is a biopic with Shraddha playing the lead, she will be present in almost every scene, which indicates that she might have allotted bulk dates for this project.

Now, the onus falls on the makers of Saaho to cleverly plan the shoot schedules to make use of Shraddha’s dates. The next schedule will commence next month in Mumbai.

Vijay Devarakonda’s next film Arjun Reddy has been making into the news because of the bold content and steamy lip locks. The makers have been promoting the film with the posters that contained intense lip lock, which did not go well with Congress senior leader and Ex MP V Hanumantha Rao.

Without stopping there, the senior politician stopped a bus on the roads of Hyderabad and he started tearing the posters calling them objectionable. He said that such posters are responsible to ruin the future of youngsters.

“Government should not encourage such commercials and advertisements for money. They will have a huge impact on youth” said Hanumantha Rao. Responding to this Vijay Devarakonda took his official facebook page saying “Thathayya, chill”.

Arjun Reddy directed by Sandeep Vanga is hitting the screens on August 25th and it has been carrying huge buzz. The pre bookings of the film are said to be exceptional and special premieres have been planned ahead of the film’s release.

Nayanthara is one of the highest paid South Indian actress and she is said to be charging Rs 4 crores per film. Occupied with too many Tamil movies, Nayanthara has been finding it tough to do a Telugu film from some time.

She finally signed her next Telugu movie and is all set to romance Nandamuri Balakrishna in the film. Directed by KS Ravikumar, the film’s shoot kickstarted early this month and Nayanthara joined the sets today. After Simha and Sri Rama Rajyam, this is the third outing of Nayanthara with Balakrishna.

The actress will shoot till the schedule wraps up and some crucial action episodes are being canned currently. The next schedule of the film will start in Tamil Nadu next month and Balayya is playing a faction leader in the film which has been rumoured to be titled Jayasimha.

The film has been planned in packed schedules and has been aimed for Sankranthi 2018 release. C Kalyan is the producer and Balakrishna has been presented in a completely new look for the film.

Nandamuri Balakrishna generally appears in either khaddar shirts and pant or seen wearing blazers some time. Also, he sticks to wearing a jeans pant and a plain shirt over it, tucked in, but this time he has stunned with this attire.

Though it took some time for people to start discussing Balayya’s new attire, thanks to Puri Jagan’s supportive speech of Balayya’s slap-gate that diverted all the attention, right now everyone is wondered about the change the Nandamuri star flaunted. If you could notice Balayya at the audio launch of Paisa Vasool, he’s seen wearing a desaturated deep cobalt-blue military dictator like jacket/blazer over a tee-shirt and jeans and showcased a complete uber-cool avatar.  In a way, he reminded us of many rockstar getups most closely to the way Ranbir Kapoor looked in “Rockstar” movie.

Insiders revealed that though Balayya wanted to come in a regular avatar to Khammam, where the audio launch took place in front of thousands of Nandamuri fans, it’s heroine Charmme who wanted to give a new look to the Paisa Vasool star. Actually, director Puri Jagan also wanted to make sure that Balayya looks different in this event as he’s seen in the same Khaddar avatars at Nandyal by-poll campaigning too.

Wearing such getups on the silver screen is a routine for our senior stars, but flaunting similar attitude at a film promotion event is something new. And Balayya did it in style, taking his peers and juniors by a sudden surprise. We have to see if he promotes the film in a similar fashion as well.

Despite there has been an overdose of horror comedies in theatres in last two years or so, the success percentage is very bleak. With routine plots and cliched spooky moments, rarely a few films came across to exploit the true potential of the horror comedy genre. The latest Telugu release, ‘Anando Brahma’ is a refreshing change.

The small film (in budget, but not on content), which managed to create decent pre-release buzz, has largely lived up to the expectations on it. Comedy clicked big time, especially in the second half. Vennela Kishore, Sreenivasa Reddy and Shakalaka Shankar received immense acclaim, so was the film’s director Mahi V Raghav.

A boost in collections was observed on Saturday and Sunday as a result of encouraging word of mouth. The best part is Anando Brahma sustained competition from two biggies of last week, Nene Raju Nene Manthri and Jaya Janaki Nayaka, which are still doing decent business at box office.

With decent reviews and positive word of mouth, the Taapsee starrer has reportedly minted good money at box office over the first weekend. Anando Brahma is emerging as the Sleeper Hit of 2017. The range of this film’s success depends on the performance of next Friday releases.
