Kajal Satires on NTR, Mahesh, Prabhas

Share

Kajal Aggarwal has thrown satires on her co-stars. The spunky siren didn’t mince her words when she was asked about her co-stars such as Mahesh Babu, Pawan Kalyan, Prabhas and NTR.

In a recent TV show where she was the guest, she was asked to tell what changes she would like to see in her co-stars, Kajal’s answers were bold, blatant and shocking.

Kajal’s Answers

On NTR : Reduce hyper activeness

On Prabhas : He needs energy

On Mahesh : He should stop talking ‘at times’. He is chatter box.

On Pawan : He should start talking ‘at times’

Now, these comments of Kajal on NTR, Prabhas, Mahesh and Pawan Kalyan are raising flak from the star’s fans. While Kajal’s intention might be good, but the way she conveyed it and the way she put it was found fault at.

Whereas, the most shocking answer from Kajal was on Rana Daggubati who himself is hosting the show. Kajal told Rana that he shouldn’t be ‘so good’, ‘so nice’ with people which she said she would get ‘irritation’.

“Stop being nice to people,” Kajal told Rana. While Kajal could have certainly say many other things about the stars, she chose to ‘damage’ the stars image, felt many of the stars’ fans.

There Will Be No War On Korean Peninsula, Says Moon

Share

There will be no war on the Korean peninsula, South Korean President Moon Jae-in said on Thursday, saying Seoul effectively had a veto over US military action in response to the North’s nuclear and missile programmes.

Tensions have soared on the peninsula in recent months, with Pyongyang carrying out its first successful tests of an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), bringing much of the US within range.

Last week it threatened to send a salvo of rockets towards the US territory of Guam — although it appears to have backed off for now — while US President Donald Trump promised “fire and fury” and said that Washington’s weapons were “locked and loaded”.

The intense rhetoric on both sides has raised fears of a miscalculation leading to catastrophic consequences — Pyongyang has vast artillery forces deployed within range of Seoul, where millions of people live.

But Mr. Moon said: “I will prevent war at all cost.”

“I want all South Koreans to believe with confidence that there will be no war,” he told a press conference marking his first 100 days in office.

The United States has been the South’s security guarantor since the end of the Korean War in 1953, which left the peninsula divided and technically still in a state of conflict with no peace treaty signed.

Washington has 28,500 troops stationed in the country to protect it from the North.

But Mr. Moon said Seoul effectively had a veto on military action by the US.

Washington and Mr. Trump had agreed that “no matter what option they take about North Korea, all decisions will be made after consulting with and getting agreement with the Republic of Korea.”

Mr. Trump’s rhetoric has raised alarm among observers but Moon, who visited Washington at the end of June, declined to criticise his choice of words.

The US leader was “trying to pressure North Korea by showing a firm resolution”, he said.

He added: “All South Koreans have worked so hard together to rebuild the country from the ruins of the Korean War. We can’t lose everything with another war.”

Red line

Pyongyang says it needs nuclear weapons to defend itself from possible invasion by its “imperialist enemy” the US and has long sought to develop a nuclear-tipped missile capable of hitting the US mainland.

The North has been subjected to seven sets of sanctions by the United Nations Security Council over its nuclear programme, the latest earlier this month, with China, its main ally and benefactor, promising to comply.

Beijing has grown increasingly exasperated with its wayward neighbour, but fears instability and the prospect of US troops on its border in a united Korea.

In the past Mr. Moon, a left-leaning former human rights lawyer, has urged engagement with Pyongyang to bring it to the negotiating table, in addition to sanctions — an approach that raised concerns it could create divisions with Washington.

But since coming to power his gestures have been rebuffed by Pyongyang, and he played down the urgency of dialogue.

“I don’t think we must rush into it,” he said.

For talks to take place, he said, “there must be a guarantee that it will lead to a fruitful outcome.

“North Korea must at least end additional provocations to create the mood for dialogue.”

Only then could Seoul consider sending an envoy to the North, he added.

“The red line would be North Korea completing its ICBM and mounting it with a nuclear warhead and weaponising it,” he added.

“If North Korea launches another provocation, it will face even stronger sanctions and it will not be able to survive them. I would like to warn North Korea to end its dangerous gamble.”

The North’s leader Kim Jong-Un said on Tuesday he would “watch a little more” before making a decision on the Guam missile launch, a declaration Mr. Trump lauded as “very wise”.

But the US and South Korea are set to begin their annual 10-day Ulchi Freedom Guardian joint exercises on Monday, involving tens of thousands of troops, which the North has long slammed as a rehearsal for invasion.

Pyongyang has often staged provocations as a show of force against past military drills, such as missile launches or movements of its arsenal and troops along the tense border.

Trump Disbands Two Business Councils

Share

U.S. President Donald Trump disbanded two high-profile business advisory councils on Wednesday after corporate CEOs quit in protest at his remarks blaming violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, not only on white nationalists but also on the protesters who opposed them.

Mr. Trump announced the break-up of the advisory councils after 3M Co’s Inge Thulin became the latest of several chief executives to leave Mr. Trump’s American Manufacturing Council, and the President’s Strategic and Policy Forum broke up of its own will. “Rather than putting pressure on the businesspeople of the Manufacturing Council & Strategy & Policy Forum, I am ending both,” Mr. Trump wrote on Twitter.

A former senior Trump administration official raised the prospect that some White House officials could quit because of Mr. Trump’s comments. “If you have some high-profile individuals leaving, you may have a whole host of high-profile individuals leaving,” said the official. Vice President Mike Pence, who is cutting short a trip to Latin America, said at a news conference in Chile that “I stand with the President and I stand by those words.”

Nokia 8 With Dual Camera, 2K Display

Share

HMD Global, using Nokia’s brand name, officially launched the flagship Nokia 8 smartphone at an event in London, bringing a new player to break the monotony of existing players. The handset was long in the rumours, but Wednesday’s launch finally put an end to all those speculations about the phone and its specifications.

Nokia has chosen the specifications carefully so it can hold a steady ground despite competition from rivals such as Samsung and Apple. The biggest highlight of the Nokia 8 is that the phone brings back the best of Lumia days with Carl Zeiss optics.

Nokia 8 will be available globally in early September. It carries a price tag of EUR 599, which roughly translates to Rs. 45,000, but don’t expect this to be final price when the handset arrives in India. In case you are wondering when that might happen, a company spokesperson confirmed to Gadgets360 that Nokia 8 will launch in India in early October.

Camera

Nokia 8 features a dual camera setup at the back, which uses two 13MP RGB and monochrome sensors with f/2.0 aperture, laser autofocus and dual LED flash. Both sensors help capture pictures and fuse them together to produce a detailed image. But that’s just the surface of what Nokia 8’s camera is capable of.

HMD Global has added state-of-the-art technology that allows Dual-Sight video streaming on Facebook and YouTube. The company is calling this feature “bothies” – short for capturing selfies and videos from both cameras.

Nokia 8 is also equipped with high dynamic range microphones to capture surround sound using Nokia Ozo Audio algorithms while shooting videos, which ensure quality effects even while sharing videos on social media.

For selfie lovers, there’s a reliable 13MP front snapper with 4K recording support on both front and rear cameras.

Design and display

Nokia has picked top-of-the-line materials for the Nokia 8. The flagship is built with 6000-series aluminium and has a splash-proof IP54 rating. The handset comes in four colours, glossy Polished Copper and Polished Blue, and matte Tempered Blue and Steel, which gives a varied choice for buyers.

he handset has been designed in such a way that users won’t have heating complaints, thanks to the copper pipe solution and graphite shield to transfer heat.

Matching the requirement of a flagship smartphone, the Nokia 8 comes with a 2K resolution display measuring 5.3 inches diagonally and has a Gorilla Glass 5 for protection. The overall design of the phone is a reminiscent of existing Nokia 6.

Performance

Under the hood, Nokia 8 packs a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset with 4GB RAM, 64GB expandable storage up to 256GB and a 3,090mAh battery. There’s a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The handset runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box, but it is guaranteed to get Android O sooner than others.

Fans Upset, Balayya Unhappy with Puri?

Share

Ever since the trailer of Paisa Vasool is out, there has been several speculations over Balayya’s voice in the trailer. Many – including fans – expressed shock over the change in Balayya’s voice.

Inside information is that Balayya’s throat suffered with problem during his stay in the Portugal. Once he returned, Puri wanted Balayya to begin the dubbing work. Although Balayya insisted that his voice wasn’t good, apparently, Puri went ahead and got it done that is resulting in poor voice performance of Balayya. Balayya was also said to be unhappy over Puri’s choosing the first version.

However, Balayya later did dubbing for the second time once his voice recovered, yet Puri said to have liked the initial version and opted for it. Now that there is a severe backlash from a section of the star’s fans, it needs to be seen whether Puri has used the initial version or the revised version in the film.

While Balayya’s last film Gautamiputra Satakarni saw him mouthing a menacing dialogues with rigour, his latest act in Paisa Vasool trailer is somehow couldn’t digest by his fans.

Big Risk on Chaitu?

Share

Naga Chaitanya has had very bad experiences in the past with serious, intense and action films such as Dhada, Bejawada, Autonagar Surya. Even Dohchay, Saahasam Swaasaga Saagipo haven’t worked as expected. So far, he proved mettle only with romantic films and feel-good films. Even audiences have been expecting such love capers from the Premam star.

However, going by his next two films, Chaitu seems to be trying for an image makeover. Be the Yuddham Sharanam or his new film Savyasachi seem to be off from what Chaitu has been doing. This indeed is a challenge for the directors as well as Chaitu himself.

Since audiences have rejected his serious films outrightly, it needs to be seen how directors like Krishna Marimuthu and Chandoo would go extra mile to mould Chaitu and convince the viewers. This is going to be challenge for the producers as well who are betting big on the actor.

Turning point in Nandyal by-polls: Gangula Joins TDP

Share

As both TDP & YSRCP parties turn highly combative for Nandyal by-polls, the heat around election is certainly soaring high. However, giving a big blow to Jagan, TDP has managed to get former-MP Gangula Pratap Reddy into their party.

AP minister Acham Naidu is the prime man who mediated between Gangula-Babu and the former has been to Amaravati to join TDP in presence of chief N Chandrababu Naidu. Ever since Shilpa brothers switched their loyalties to YSRCP, Babu and team is trying to attract the big-wigs of opposition in the constituency and as part of the plan, they have managed to get Gangula see towards Telugu Desham.

On other hand, Pratap Reddy’s brother G Prabhakar Reddy was elected as an MLC from YSR party under MLAs’ quota. But, Pratap Reddy was denied the party ticket in Nandyal by-polls as Jagan planned it for Shilpa. So, now that the former MP joined TDP, efforts are on to attract his brother Prabhakar Reddy as well.

It remains to be seen how this political development, just before by-polls, will advantage Telugu Desham Party.

Trade: LIE 5 Days Collections

Share

Nithin’s highly anticipated spy thriller ‘LIE’ is turning out to be a major disappointment at box office. The film couldn’t rake in decent moolah even over the 5-day extended weekend.

As per trade reports, LIE collected a meager 7 crore share in the Telugu states in the 5-day weekend. Below is the break up of share:

Nizam – 2,76,00,000
Ceded – 82,00,000
Nellore – 25,00,000
Guntur – 58,77,649
Krishna – 56,52,210
West – 31,20,000
East – 64,00,000
Uttharandhra – 1,00,00,000

Total 5 days AP & TG share – 6.93 crore

Considering the high budget invested on this ambitious thriller, LIE has been termed a disaster by trade experts. Neither the extensive promotions being done by the makers nor the holidays helped the film to put up a decent show at box office. Competition from two other biggies further hampered the prospects of LIE.

We however need to wait for one more week to see where the film ends up.
