Senior comedian Brahmanandam, who has been going through a lean phase for past few years, seems to have got abundance of joy at home, in the form of his newly born grandson, Partha. In this lovely picture, Brahmi is seen playing with his 4-month-old grandson.

The adorable kid was born in April this year to Jyothsna and Brahmanandam’s son Gautham. When the kid was born, Brahmi said that he felt blessed to have turned grandfather.

On work front, Brahmanandam will be next seen in a full length comic role in Vishnu Manchu’s ‘Achari America Yathra’. He has pinned very high hopes on the film to revive his fortune.

Harish Shankar, the talented commercial film director who indulged in unnecessary controversies over his last film ‘DJ’, is planning a medium budget film in his next attempt. It is going to be a multistarrer film sans star heroes.

Said to be an emotional and entertaining love story, the film will have two young heroes in lead roles. Instead of going for stars, Harish has reportedly decided to rope in two mid-range young heroes as his new film’s protagonists. Dil Raju will once again bankroll this Harsh Shankar directorial. Reportedly, the producer has already registered ‘Dagudu Moothalu’ title for this film.

After receiving severe flak for the routine plot in DJ and also taking changing tastes of audiences in mind, Harish has penned a fresh romantic drama. The ‘Gabbar Singh’ is currently mum on the casting. Since he had allegedly made a scathing attack on reviewers for poorly rating DJ and also for the myriad controversies he engulfed in over DJ, heroes may not readily allot dates for his immediate next film. Dil Raju’s brand will however come handy in roping in the lead actors.

If Harish can keep his temper in control and let his pen do the talking, then, with the abundance of talent he has, he is most likely to come out of the blues of DJ with his new film.

Buoyed by the confidence that Telugu audiences have started embracing novel attempts, young heroes are showing keenness in attempting conceptual cinema. Nithin’s latest release ‘LIE’ also is a novel attempt to some extent but the response from audiences has been pretty mixed.

Confessing the same, Nithin said that LIE had opened to mixed talk. Speaking at the Thank You meet held by the makers, Nithin said, ‘On Day 1, about 60 percent people liked our film, and it grew to 70 on day 2 and 85 percent by the weekend. There was mixed talk initially but it is veering towards positive talk day by day. A novel attempt always takes some time to reach people”.

Nithin also said that they couldn’t get as many theatres as they want since two more films were in contention. ‘The collections however are improving as the positive talk is slowly spreading. We are confident of the film’s success in long run,’ Nithin added with an optimistic view.

The ‘Jayam’ hero heaped praises on director Hanu Raghavapudi and said that he would become a top director irrespective of the result of LIE.

Finding a heroine for Prabhas is not tough provided with the huge popularity the actor amassed after the success of Baahubali at the box office. But finding a happening heroine is said to have turned quite costly and also with heroine’s getting only simpler roles, some Bollywood sirens have rejected the offer.

For “Saaho”, finally, we hear that the hunt for heroine has come to an end with “Aashiqui 2” and “Baaghi” fame Shraddha Kapoor giving nod to the movie and also allocated her dates. However, this heroine who has no bigger heroes films on hand is heard demanding a bomb from the makers. Some birdies in Bollywood have revealed that she’s charging a whopping 8 crores to romance Prabhas in this movie.

As there are a couple of solo hits in her kitty, Shraddha is now charging somewhere between 2-4 crores for crazy Bollywood projects. But “Saaho” happens to be a big ticket entertainer and the makers are on the look out for a Bollywood actress from a time. Cashing on this opportunity, Shraddha readily accepted the offer but only if her remuneration is doubled. Eight crores is a price being paid to some happening Telugu star heroes, but now a heroine charging such amount became the talk of the town.

“When you’re releasing your film in three languages, and making the movie with huge budgets, definitely that is not a huge budget for a heroine. It’s like you’re paying for three films as the makers also market and sell the film in three languages. So it’s no big deal”, a Bollywood PR man commented.

Directed by Sujith, Saaho is produced by UV Creations while Prabhas will star as a mafia man. The film is likely to hit cinemas in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi all at once.
