The ongoing quizzing of film personalities by the SIT (Special Investigation Team) in drugs case has been the hot topic in film, political circles. Amidst this, industry seems to be separated into two – while a section is strongly supporting the people who have received notices and alleging that the SIT and Excise Department is unnecessarily targeting Tollywood, the other section in Tollywood is quashing those accusations and stating that the SIT deserve total right to investigate, interrogate film personalities.

Amidst this, actor,writer, director Posani Krishna Murali has taken a strong stand in favour of SIT and stated that the SIT has right to interrogate any citizen and citizens have responsibility to clarify whenever the Taskforce has any doubts on individuals and their actions.

Responding to director Ram Gopal Varma’s comments on Charmi and SIT where the director went onto describe Charmi as Jhansi Lakshmibai taking on the SIT, Posani strongly reacted and stated that SIT should take severe action against those who throw satires on it.

“Those who don’t know Jhansi Lakshmibai may speak so. Those who think that Lakshmibai is one who dances for the tune Yaire in Rangeela or a club dancer, one can’t help. I think SIT is not using its actual powers. If it uses, I think everybody will be in control,” said angry Posani in a TV interview. Posani’s remarks not only come as a befitting counter to Ram Gopal Varma but also indicated as strong comments against Charmi. It is learnt that Charmi, Puri are also upset with Posani’s severe remarks.

Megastar Chiranjeevi might belong to her rival party, Congress but it hasn’t affected Telangana Chief Minister KCR’s daughter and Nizamabad MP, Kavitha Kalvakuntla’s admiration for him. There are numerous occasions when she proudly claimed to be a fan of ‘Actor’ Chiranjeevi.

From last two days, there is huge buzz that the makers of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s 151st film, based on the life and times of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy the first known freedom fighter, has approached ‘Eega’ villain Sudeep for a crucial role. Is there the truth about it?

Apparently, Uyyalawada project is boasting ensembling star cast including the likes of Chiranjeevi, Amitabh Bachchan and Nayantara. Talking about this role offered to him, there is parallel lead kind of role in the film that speaks both Kannada and Telugu, so obviously I’m their first choice.

Have the makers of Pawan Kalyan’s new film made their minds on the release date? Buzz in distributors’ circles is strong that the PK-Trivikram film will hit screens for Sankranthi 2018.

January 10, 2018 is the date when this much awaited biggie will hit screens, as per latest reports. The makers have been toying with the release date for a long time. Dussehra seemed to be an ideal release but makers skipped the festival season for the reasons best guarded. They have finally chosen the most prospective season for a Telugu film at box office, Sankranthi.

Now, Pawan Kalyan’s film is likely to take on Ram Charan’s ‘Rangasthalam’. Since the latter is a village-based entertainer, Sukumar also thought of releasing the film for Sankranthi and they have even made an official announcement in this regard. In the wake of Pawan’s film joining the Sankranthi race, Charan may give another thought to the release date of Rangasthalam.

Pawan’s and Ram Charan’s aren’t the only two biggies eyeing Sankranthi season. Mahesh-Koratala film and Balayya’s 102nd film are also eyeing the lucrative Sankranthi season. Expect a major reshuffle as the release date nears.

Other day after wrapping up another event, our big director actually left for a party that is being thrown by his friends from the industry. While that is just a casual party a heroine who hasn’t worked with him earlier was also present at the place. When they are discussing the result of his latest movie, this heroine made a comment which stunned our director.

“Actually you should have waited for a better script. Or you should have changed the way second half is dealt. And those heroines, you have better choices know?..” as she kept on saying that, our director got annoyed and first yelled at the bartender guy pouring him his next peg.

Later with this heroine not stopping her reviewing skills and going ahead to dissect the movie, he has shouted, “Shut yup yaar, don’t you dare to review my films such way”, giving the message clear. And still, the heroine is not convinced and continued her squatter, “sir, actually, what I’m talking about is”, and then the director gave one last shot. “Shut up, just shut up”, he snapped at her.

Apparently, our heroine got stunned and kept quiet for a while, before reaching out to her other friends to say, “He’s so arrogant yaar”. That’s how the film industry works folks!!
