2 Things Bunny Learned for DJ
Stylish star Allu Arjun, who is eagerly awaiting the release of “Duvvada Jagannadham”, has started the promotional campaign. The actor has the other day interacted with media in Hyderabad and revealed a few interesting details.
When asked about how he prepared himself to play the character of a Brahmin cook, Bunny said that he had to take special training. Elaborating on the same, he revealed that he was not familiar with Brahmin antics as he had never observed them keenly. ‘I took training from Brahmins for 10 days to get a grip on the accent and mannerisms of Brahmins,’ he divulged.
Bunny also said that he has never cooked in his life and that he had to spend good amount of time closely observing cooking in order to look convincing as a professional cook in DJ.
Talking about his panchekattu avatar, Bunny said that his look is a tribute to his Mallu fans who request him to play a character with panchekattu whenever he visits Kerala.
Bunny further said that he and his team has utmost respect for Brahmin community and that they have made sure not to offend the community with DJ.
When To-Be President was Denied Entry To President’s Home
On Monday, BJP President Amit Shah announced Bihar governor Ram Nath Kovind as their party’s nominee for the post of President of India. Ironically, Kovind is the same man who was denied entry to the Presidential home less than a month back.
It was on May 30 that Kovind along with his family returned from the gates of the Retreat, the official residence of the President of India in Shimla. That day happened to be his marriage anniversary. Since Kovind happened to be in Shimla on the eve of his marriage anniversary, he wanted to call on the President at Retreat. It was an unscheduled visit.
Security personnel however had sent him back saying he did not have the requisite permission from the President’s office. Now, less than a month after that embarrassing incident, Kovind has been announced as the BJP-led NDA’s nominee to the post of President.
With the kind of majority NDA has, there is little doubt in Kovind becoming the next President. Thus, he may return to the same Retreat, where he was earlier denied to enter, in the authority as the new President of India.
Blame Game with Kohli: Coach Kumble Quits Post
After the devastating defeat in the hands of Pakistan team in the just concluded Champions Trophy, Team India Cricket coach Anil Kumble quit the post.
Post the India defeat in the final match, differences between Kumble and team India players particularly Virat kohli reached high as the both sides are exchanging blame game. The relationships between Kohli and Kumble were strained in the recent times.
Though Kumble is given option to extend his service for one year, the former India spinner and captain relinquished the posts in a huff. As a result, the India team is leaving West Indies to play ODIs and T20s without coach. Tuesday is the last day of Kumble’s contract.
TDP MLA Turns As Actor
TDP President Chandrababu Naidu’s close aide and MLA Gollapalli Surya Rao is trying his luck in acting.
Rao, elected as an MLA from Razole Assembly constituency in East Godavari district, is playing the role of prominent freedom fighter Lala Lajapt Rai in a TV serial made on the life of Bharata Ratna Dr. BR Ambedkar. The shooting is currently under progress in different parts of Andhra Pradesh.
The AP State Government has extended financial help for the production of this 100-episode serial in Telugu language. The serial will be telecast on one private and government-owned Doordarshan channel soon.
Gollapalli has recently been denied minister berth in Naidu’s cabinet due to local political factions. Sulking Rao has been maintaining distance from the party activities ever since.
Mega Heroes Making People Stand At Events
Not directly, but many times legendary director Dasari Narayana Rao’s comments on handsomeness of heroes, star kids becoming actors without any basic training- have hit the mega family hard. And then, mega heroes also gave retort to Dasari in a similar manner with their words.
Sudden death of Dasari, however, changed the way things are looked upon. Somehow mega family is missing the senior citizen of Telugu industry who’s the main pillar in shifting Tollywood from Madras to Hyderabad. For that reason, mega heroes are paying their tributes whenever possible and making people stand to observe a two-minute silence.
At Kadhali audio function, Ram Charan requested everyone to observe a two-minute silence for Dasari to help his soul rest in peace. Treading in a similar path, Allu Arjun asked all the celebs and crowds at Filmfare Awards event to stand up and observe silence for Dasari, and he even dedicated the award to Dasari. Though Dasari has directed only one film with Chiranjeevi, the mega family seems very attached to them, while Allu Arvind’s Geetha Arts got its debut film directed by the big tough man only.
However, it’s completely pitying to see big directors and some star actors not even attending the condolence meeting of this immortalised filmmaker. We wonder what message Tollywood is giving to sabhya samajam!!
Ram Charan’s Big Help To Godavari Kid
The tales of Ram Charan coming to the rescue of his fans are surfacing every now and then these days. The actor has once again shown his big heart by helping a kid recover from a kidney-related ailment.
Going into details, when Charan was shooting for Rangasthalam in Rajahmundry in April, a three-year-old boy, Dhanush and his parents came to meet him. Finding out from his mother that the little boy was suffering from a fatal disease, the treatment of which is beyond their financial capability, Charan responded immediately and instructed his team to admit the kid in a top private hospital in Hyderabad and make necessary arrangements.
Charan bore the entire expenses for the little boy’s treatment, and the kid has now fully recovered. Just the other day, three-year-old kid and his parents called on Charan on the sets of Rangasthalam and expressed their gratitude with teary eyes. Seeing the kid all hale and hearty, Charan felt very happy and wished him good health.
Charan, who allegedly earned the image of a spoiled brat in the initial years of his career, is now winning hearts with his kind and matured acts.
