Jagan calls AP Bandh on August 2
In protest against the centre’s refusal to grant special status to Andhra Pradesh, YSR Congress party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy called AP bandh on August 2 (Tuesday).
He said the the BJP led NDA ally TDP also failed to impress upon the centre in achieving special status to the residue state of Andhra Pradesh.
The YSR Congress MPs have been raising the issue in Parliament but the TDP MPs are reluctant to join hands for the cause. The party leaders said the opposition party will chalk out an action plan to realise the aspirations and dreams of Andhra Pradesh people soon.
Direct flights from Hyd to Dallas & New York Soon
Telangana IT, industry and NRI affairs minister KT Rama Rao is lobbying strongly with the union government for direct flights from Hyderabad to Dallas and New York where Telugu people particularly hailed from Telangana are residing in the two internationally known cities in America.
KTR met the Civil Vitiation minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju at his office in New Delhi and submitted a memorandum to the minister requesting to ply the flights between Hyderabad and the US cities in view of increased demand for air traffic.
He also urged the union minister to clear the long pending greenfield airport at Kothagudem immediately as the state government already got required clearances from the forest and other departments. The proposal to establish heliports at Alair and Kagaznagar and pharma city in Hyderabad was also discussed in the meeting.
Radhika Apologized For Kabali Fans
Radhika Apte has been getting a lot of appreciations for her performance in the film Kabali. She played Rajinikanth’s wife in the film and has been doing great things in her career right now. The actress has now apologized to the media for not being part of the promotions. She has said that it is “unfortunate” to stay away from the promotions of such a big project. She revealed this recently during Vogue Beauty Awards.
As Radhika Apte was busy shooting for a film called ‘Ghoul’ she could not make it to the promotions of the film. Even before “Kabali”, Radhika has acted in numerous films down South, but she was not seen regular for the promotions of any of the films. But this will surely remain as a big project for her in a career. She played Kundanavalli in Kabali.
Sridevi’s daughter Rejected Mahesh Babu
If the latest reports are to be believed, Sridevi’s elder daughter Jhanvi Kapoor has rejected a Mahesh Babu film. Yes!You heard it right! According to reports, director AR Murugadoss was keen on launching Jhanvi with Mahesh Babu and even got a go-ahead from Jhanvi’s parents Sridevi and Boney Kapoor. But Jhanvi didn’t approve of the same because turns out she still thinks she is not ready for her big screen debut.
A source close to Sridevi said that Sridevi and Boney would want to make a grand announcement about their daughter’s debut, whether in Bollywood or Tollywood. Jhanvi is currently also busy taking her acting classes at Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu’s forthcoming film with Murugudoss started its regular shooting today. The makers are planning to release in January 2017.
Most expensive film to be shot in 11 countries
A South Indian film, which is bigger than Baahubali and Robo 2.0 is on its way in the near future. According to latest reports, Tamil filmmaker Sundar C planned a high-budget historical drama tentatively titled as Sanghamitra. This epic drama will be shot in 11 Countries including India, USA, Denmark, Ukraine, and Iran. Never been before, An Indian Film was shot in as many countries.
The film will be produced by Sri Thenandal Films. Suriya, Vijay, and Mahesh Babu are the main lead role in the film. The music will be scored by AR Rahman, and Sudeep Chatterjee will crank Camera. Sabu Cyril will be the Art Director, and Kanal Kannan is the VFX Supervisor.
The script work has been completed recently and the makers have yet to finalize the lead cast. Sanghamitra is a tri-lingual flick (Telugu, Tamil & Hindi) with cost of production anywhere close to Rs 350 crore.
Spotted at RTA Office – Prabhas Buys Costly Range Rover
Young Rebel Star Prabhas, who has recently purchased a luxurious Range Rover car worth Rs. 2.82 crores, has visited the Khairatabad RTA Office in Hyderabad to register the vehicle.
The RTA authorities allotted TS09 ES 7567 number for the costly vehicle after Prabhas paid a nominal fee of Rs. 5,000. Not only the fans but also the officials at the RTA office got excited after seeing the Baahubali and thronged to take pictures with him.
On the work front, Prabhas is currently busy shooting for Baahubali – The Conclusion at Ramoji Film City. Film’s director Rajamouli SS is canning the climax war sequence. After the unprecedented success of the first part, expectations are huge in the conclusion part. The film set for release in April next year has already started breaking all the existing pre-release business records in all regions.
