Superstar Rajinikanth needs no introduction. His fan base and charisma is beyond words. This naturally gives liberty to his producers who go extra mile and dig deep into pockets to splurge for his films. The latest we hear is that a staggering set worth Rs 5 Crore is erected in Chennai for Rajini’s new film “Kaala” that rolled onto floors on Sunday in Mumbai.

A special set of Dharavi slum in Mumbai is erected in Chennai that said to have costed Rs 5 Crore. The set would look so real as if it is replica of Mumbai’s Dharavi, considered as Asia’s largest slum. A major chunk of the film is going to be shot in the set.

Since a few general shots in realistic locales of Mumbai are required for the film, Rajini has left to Mumbai from Chennai on Saturday evening. Rajini has begun shooting for the film in Mumbai backdrop for a few scenes after which he will return to Chennai where the film will have a week-long schedule.

Rajini essays the role of an underworld don ruling Mumbai. The film produced by Dhanush is going to be released in Telugu, Hindi along with Tamil. Kabali director PA Ranjith is helming the film while Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi plays Rajini’s love interest in the film. Santhosh Narayanan, who composed music for Kabali, is going to score music for Kaala as well. The film has an interesting tagline – Karikalan, means the King.

Ace director SS Rajamouli made a big statement. He called his latest film Baahubali 2 as the most satisfying film in his career till date.

When asked about whether he has any regrets about Baahubali 2 or whether he would like to correct any mistakes, humble-Rajamouli replied, “Each and every film of mine, I have a feeling that I could make it better. But Baahubali 2 is my most satisfying film. We have done our best. We have done what all we could do for the film. Yes, still there are a few which we should had made in Baahubali 2.”

“The emotions should had been deeper. The emotional scenes have been moved quickly in the film. For example, Kattappa shouldn’t have agreed to kill Baahubali quickly. There had to be more drama, more emotion before he is convinced to do so. Like wise, there has to be more base before Sivagami coming to such conclusion. She shouldn’t have agreed to do so such early. Due to duration of a film, we can’t make it bigger. It was already 2 hr 40 mins. It can’t have more length than it.”

Also Rajamouli admits that there are few other portions in Baahubali 2 that hadn’t conveyed as he conceived. “Scenes between Rana and Prabhas should had more depth. The younger brother who loves his elder brother and the elder brother who wants to kill his younger brother…the duo should have more scenes. There were a few scenes we had written between them but unfortunately we couldn’t retain them in the film,” Rajamouli clearly explained on where he had some dissatisfaction in the film.

Yet on the whole Rajamouli has dubbed the film as his most satisfying film till date. It can be noted that the second part alone has grossed over Rs 1500 Crore world-wide and created several records at the Box Office.

Slowly and steadily, it seems like Allu Arjun is building his own road to fame while all these days he’s traversing on the path laid by his uncle Megastar Chiranjeevi. After achieving some big feats, his calculated moves are simply fascinating.

The name ‘Allu Arjun’ became a brand now, and also emerged as a stylish star at Telugu box office. This brand sketch will work big time to make him a most sought after hero when it comes to Bollywood big studios investing in local projects like it happened in Mahesh Babu’s case. For now, the star of brands when it comes to Telugu heroes is none other than Mahesh Babu, who has more than two dozens of brands under his kitty, from Royal Stag cassettes and CDs to cooking oil ads.

Nene Raju Nene Mantri from writer, director Teja starring Rana Daggubati, Kajal Agarwal is into final production stages. Announcing the title officially, Teja hinted on powerful storyline with which the film is actually made and the strong social message it carried.

“In day to day world, we remain un-reactive on many happenings around us in the common society we live. We have been addicted to such careless living style and Jane Do attitude. But, there will be one person who rises to the situation and he is my protagonist Rana as Jogendra. This idea forms NRNM basic storyline,” director Teja said.

Apparently, the project produced by Suresh Babu is into final production stages with post production works progressing simultaneously. Hope, Taja comes back vigorously with NRNM which has music from Anup Rubens.
