Megastar’s Guns And Beauty Queen’s Thighs

Share

Other day maverick filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma who lost that Midas touch these days has shocked everyone with the trailer of his upcoming web series “Guns And Thighs”. It has both nudity and expletives at the core, giving a rustic feel about Mumbai and its mafia as envisioned by Varma.

“I named the series GUNS and THIGHS as a synonym for Power and Sex which are primary motors of nature in any politics of a criminal nature”, tweeted Varma, explaining why he made this web series. But late in the night, he made an interesting comment and deleted the tweet by the morning.

Apparently, Varma stated that Amitabh Bachchan’s Guns and former beauty queen Zeenat Aman’s thighs have influenced him a lot as a filmmaker. While Big B needs no introduction, Zeenat Aman has won Femina Miss India Asia Pacific title in 1970 and since then she has no looking back in Hindi film industry as reigning heroine before she retired. But in no time, RGV has removed this tweet.

“I became film maker under influence of Bachchan’s Guns nd Zeenats things n pretty much who mattered got influenced with their own G’s and T’s”, his deleted tweet read.

To make a series work on YouTube, already Varma made most of the nudity and cuss words, and now he’s justifying his title as well through these lines. We have to see how netizens take this.

Kakinada: Kapu patriarch Mudragada Padmanabham will launch a Padayatra on the issue of Kapu reservations from July 26. He said the yatra, christened Chalo Amaravati, would begin from his home village of Kirlampudi.

Mudragada Padmanabham said the Kapu movement for BC reservations, would complete two years on July 26 and the Chalo Amaravati is intended to remind the ruling party to keep its promise of according BC status to Kapus. He said the government was deliberately sitting on the Manjunath Committee constituted to looking into the issue.

“The committee has completed its tour of 13 districts long ago, but nothing has been done. Though several letters have been sent to the chief minister, there is no response,” he said. This only shows the dislike that Chandrababu has for the Kapus.

Pic: Chilling or Killing in Pool

Hottie Priyanka Chopra, who has worked relentlessly to promote her Hollywood debut film ‘Baywatch’, looks to be finally relaxing as the film hit screens this Friday.

Well, Priyanka surely looks chilling and calm despite Baywatch received scathing reviews but can her fans stay as calm as she, seeing this picture of hers killing err..chilling in swimming pool?

Priyanka has paraded her hot bod in skimpy bikinis across Miami beaches before the release of Baywatch and suffocated even the international folks with her smoldering looks. She continues the bikini bonanza even now, but this time more privately, in a swimming pool.

Bolly Actor Didn’t Like Prabhas’ Acting in Baahubali?

Share

The phenomenal success of Baahubali catapulted Prabhas to superstardom. Besides Rajamouli’s vision, the committed performance of Prabhas was credited for the film’s success. Although Prabhas has earned huge number of fans and admiration of several film fraternity big wigs, acclaimed actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui wasn’t convinced with his performance in and as Baahubali.

Talking about the character of Baahubali, Nawaz said, “I like the role of Baahubali, especially the superhero kind of treatment the role has received. I doubt that’s ever going to happen to Bollywood actors. No matter how much effort you put to play a particular role, if the film doesn’t perform well, your acting goes unrecognized. On the other hand, if a big film becomes a hit, then people automatically start liking the actor.”

Siddiqui allegedly meant that Prabhas’ acting got recognition just because the film became a big hit.

He however praised the film saying, “I actually wasn’t interested to watch Baahubali but my kids forced me. When I watched it, I realized why people were talking so high about the film. It takes you into a world of its own and you start having fun.”

Day 1: Sachin Scored Big

“Sachin: A Billion Dreams”, the documentary-style sports autobiography of Cricket God Sachin Tendulkar that hit screens this Friday took an admirable opening.

The film collected 8.4 crore across India. While the Hindi version accounted for 7 crore, the remaining amount was earned by the non-Hindi version of the film. Of course, the figure is not even half of what fellow cricketer MS Dhoni’s biopic had collected, 19.20 crore but then Sachin’s film was not a cinematic presentation but a docudrama. No documentary-style film so far put up a performance that can be even remotely compared to Sachin’s.

The film has received mixed response form critics. It definitely is not for the ones who don’t have much idea about cricket or Sachin but the film is a must watch for those who lived, loved, grew up, clapped, sighed, cried watching Sachin on cricket field.

Rajamouli Opens Up on Magadheera Controversy

Share

If there is one mysterious controversy in the elite career of ace director SS Rajamouli, then it has to be the infamous ‘Magadheera’ scandal. It was widely speculated back then that Rajamouli got miffed with the Mega family and Allu Aravind for not giving him the due credit and that he went on to rope in a comedian – Sunil as the hero of his immediate next film and scored a massive hit.

Afresh, Rajamuli has once again opened up about the ‘Magadheera’ controversy in ‘Open Heart with RK’ program. The talk show’s promo was recently aired where a candid Rajamouli was seen talking about his issues with Allu Aravind. He said that he was angry with the Mega producer for several reasons. The ‘Baahubali’ director also talked about why he intentionally skipped the 100 days function of Magadheera.

The promo has raised curiosity on what Rajamouli might have said about his allegedly strained relation with Allu Aravind and Megastar Chiranjeevi. Mega fans and general movie goers have already started discussions on this issue. The true revelations of Rajamouli will however come out in open only when the full interview is aired.

Kishore, The New Drug Of Tollywood

Share

Telugu films often work like a drug for people seeking some happiness. Yes, it’s the songs, dance and the comedy factor that work like a therapy on the audiences who seek solace and comfort through watching movies. That’s the reason our heroes and directors do focus on those elements a lot.

When software engineering professional Kishore acted in the film “Vennela”, little did he know that the film title would become his surname in Telugu Film Industry. Owing to the deficit of comedians, this talented actor-director has scaled heights in no time. His handsome looks, terrific comedy timing and ability to mingle with actors of all ages and heroes of all statures made him a sought after folk.

From last years hits like Majnu, Ekkadikipothava Chinnavada to recently released films like Keshava and the otherday release Rarandoi Veduka Chooddam, he featured in some hilarious roles of either hero’s friend or the Saint reliever in the second half. Definitely, he lived a couple of notches up above the expectations. Irrespective of how the talk around the films has come out, Vennela Kishore’s character always stood out.

Looking at this happening, we could say that Kishore is becoming that new drug in Tollywood which audiences need a dose of it regularly. Earlier Brahmanandam used to be in similar position, ruling the throne almost single handed, but now the likes of Vennela Kishore to 30-years Prithvi occupied it.

Kamal Satires On Aamir Khan, Attracts Criticism

Share

Universal hero Kamal Haasan, who has been indulging in controversies lately, has now put himself in an embarrassing situation because of his loose tongue.

It is known that Kamal is gearing up to make his television debut with the popular reality show ‘Bigg Boss’. While the Hindi version is hosted by Salman Khan, Kamal has been brought on board to do the same job for the Tamil version.

During the launch of the promo of the show on Friday, when Kamal was asked why he chose an entertainment-themed yet controversy-prone show rather than a socially responsible show like ‘Satyameva Jayate’, which was hosted by Aamir Khan, the ‘Viswaroopam’ actor has reportedly taken a jibe at the ‘Dangal’ actor.

“I have been more socially responsible than the person who did the show,” said Kamal when asked about Satyamev Jayate.

The comment hasn’t gone well with both Bollywood media and Aamir’s fans. Kamal is being criticized on social media for his seemingly dig at Aamir.
