Comedian turned Hero Sunil is without a proper hit for a long time. He is churning out back to back disasters one after the other and now, he is all set to try his luck once again at the box office with his next film, Jakkanna. The actor had pinned all his hopes on this film to get back into success track.

There have been several rumours that he is troubling his producer of Jakkanna by not promoting the film. Sunil clarified this in a recent interview. “I am a producer’s actor and has never troubled anyone in my career. This seems to be the work someone who does not like me and are creating such rumours,” Sunil said.

Jakanna is the story of a man (Sunil here) who stuns everyone with some big work and silence those who criticize him as good for nothing man. A newcomer Vamsi Krishna Akella is wielding the megaphone for this film. R.Sudharshan Reddy who produced Prema Katha Chitram is also producing this film on his RCA Creations Banner.

Akkineni fans are already worried and confused about the release of Naga Chaitanya’s Saahasam Swaasaga Saagipo. A Press note sent by the makers has further added to their confusion. Usually we see Press notes with confirmed News but then this Press Note had the title with the ‘Question Mark’ indicating that the release is not confirmed yet.

More over even if the release is confirmed they are missing the all important Independence day holiday weekend. August 12th is the best date of the year as there is a long weekend in the first week due to Independence day holiday on Monday and another holiday as Rakshabandhan special in the first week itself.

So Saahasam Swaasaga Saagipo may release after the date passed away. The movie brings the successful combination of Yem Maaya Chesave – Naga Chaitanya and Gautam Menon back but the movie’s delay had wanned out the hype and expectations on the film. The movie shooting is complete, couple of months ago. AR Rahman is the music composer.

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Prestigious 150th film is being canned near Chevella where an action sequence is being canned. Names like Kathilantodu, Napolean are being heard for the film. Mega fans are not satisfied with both the titles but are trying to put up a brave face saying ‘What is in a name?’.

The title confusion will be cleared on August 22nd as the team is gearing up to release the First Look Poster of the film that day. The movie is currently being shot in Chevella where a fight is being canned. The schedules are chalked out in a way there are no big resting periods as Chiranjeevi is keen to release it for Sankranthi 2017.

The yet to be titled film is the official remake of Tamil blockbuster, Kaththi starring Vijay. VV Vinayak who recently bagged a failure with Akhil – The Power of Jua is given the chance to direct the film. Ram Charan and his mother Surekha are producing the film on their recently launched Konidela Production Company.

Chiyaan Vikram’s Iru Mugan’s Telugu version, Inkokkadu dubbing rights were bagged by Neelam Krishna Reddy of NKR films bagged the Telugu rights for a fancy price amid huge competition. Iru Mugan audio function will be held on August 2nd in Chennai. Rights holder of the Telugu version will announce Inkokkadu release and audio details very soon.

Rumours are that Iru Mugan is releasing on September 2nd. If they decide to have a simultaneous release for the Telugu version as well, it will mean a clash with NTR’s Janatha Garage. If September 2nd is the release date, there is a long weekend due to Vinayaka Chaviti holiday on Monday (September 5th).

Harris Jayaraj has composed music for the film. Anand Shankar of Arima Nambi fame is directing the film, which also has Nayanthara and Nithya Menen in pivotal roles. Yet anther biopic is in making in Bollywood film industry. Actor Ranbir Kapoor will be portraying Raj Kapoor in a biopic that will be produced under the family’s banner RK Films. The film has been a dream project for the entire family, and they have finally got clarity. Ranbir Kapoor has always been fascinated with Raj Kapoor’s work for the longest time and knows him inside-out. After he had become an actor, the family started making plans for the same and the project is finally going to happen now.

Reportedly, Randhir and Rishi Kapoor want to revive the RK Films banner, which has been dormant for years now. Both the brothers Randhir and Rishi Kapoor are in an agreement to revive the banner with a biopic on Raj Kapoor. More details about the project will be out soon.

Actress Anaika Soti, who was introduced to the film industry by director Ram Gopal Varma, is now all set to play a bold character in her second Tamil outing, titled “Semma Botha Aagatha”. She has done two films so far with director Ram Gopal Varma they are “Sathya 2” and “365 Days”. She made her Tamil debut with Siddharth’s “Kaaviya Thalaivan”.

As for the reliable sources, Actress Anaika Soti is going to feature as a sex worker in her upcoming film under the direction Badri Venkatesh. Director of the film said “It is a pivotal role in the script and not many actresses readily agree to play a bold role. But Soti wanted to take it up as soon as she heard the story. I feel it is courageous on her part to accept this role.”. Tamil actor Atharva is the hero and producer for this flick, and it has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

Nag Ashwin who impressed everyone with his debut directorial, Nani’s Yevade Subrahmanyam is working on the biopic of Mahanati Savitri as his next project. There are several rumours that the director is in talks with Bollywood beauties – Vidya Balan and Sonakshi Sinha to play the main lead in the film.

However, the director in an interview with a News Agency confirmed that he is not in talks with any Bollywood heroine to play the role. It came as a relief to every as they felt No Bollywood Heroine can match Mahanati Savitri. The Pre-Production of the film is almost complete and the movie will begin shoot in two months time.

Savitri is the top heroine in black and white days. She is the first choice heroine for Top stars those days and is also the highest paid. But then fate has tragic things for her as she had to struggle in extreme poverty in her last days. This is one film we can not wait any longer wait to see it on big screen.
