Indiana Jones’ adventurous quests to find the missing relics and hidden cities are timeless. He has always been one of the most admired and beloved characters among fans of treasure-hunting adventures.Portrayed by the charming and handsome Harrison Ford, Indiana’s adventures have covered many continents, where he has travelled to exotic locations and fought various villains and evil forces to stop them from acquiring relics that have hidden magical powers. In wrong hands, these relics can be disastrous and can annihilate the human race.

To make sure that all the Indiana Jones fans in India get a fair share of their adventure-driven fantasies, Zee Studios will premiere three Indiana Jones movies back-to-back on July 23.
As the “Indiana Jones” marathon is all set to take place in a day, here are some of the most iconic and notable villains from the franchise who gave Indiana a tough fight in his adventures, which more often than not nearly killed Indy:

René Belloq

The main antagonist in first Indiana Jones movie “Raiders of the Lost Ark” (1981), Belloq was a French archaeologist who took credit for Indiana’s findings by snatching a relic from him that he had found after making it through several traps and a deadly rock boulder.The relic was a fertility idol that Belloq wanted to use to speak with the gods so he could help the Nazis finding the Ark of the Covenant.

Elsa Schneider

Dr. Elsa Schneider was an Austrian art professor who was obsessed with the Holy Grail. However, unlike most of the antagonists in the franchise, she kept her dealings with the Nazis a secret and not many people knew how exactly she assisted the Nazis. She seduced both Indiana and his father Henry.

Irina Spalko

Colonel Dr. Irina Spalko is undoubtedly one of the most well-known and dangerous antagonists, who made a debut in “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” (2008). She was feared by a lot of people who believed her to be a witch having psychic powers.She, along with her soldiers, followed Indiana’s trail to find the truth behind the crystal skulls. However, she met her end when the greed of more knowledge caused the aliens to overload her mind, leading, eventually, to its disintegration.

Walter Donovan

The main antagonist in “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” (1989), Walter Donovan was also after the Holy Grail, just like Elsa Schneider. He was a wealthy American industrialist and collector of antiquities. To get his hands on the Grail, he joined the Nazi forces. Walter had firm belief that the Grail has the gift of immortality.

Ernst Vogel

Colonel Ernst Vogel was one of the other antagonists in “The Last Crusade.” A Nazi colonel, his primary job was to assist Walter Donovan in his quest to find the Holy Grail. Ernst liked to torture Indiana and his father and took immense pleasure in watching them in pain. He intended to kill both of them but was eventually crushed under a tank while fighting with Indiana.

Zee Studios will premiere the “Indy Trails” on July 23 at the following timings:

To make it a memorable experience for the audiences, Zee Studios has come out with a rap song for the premiere that is a heartwarming tribute to the iconic character and the franchise.

The hunt for Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 will be suspended once the current search area in the Indian Ocean has been completely scoured, the Ministers of the three countries conducting the operation announced Friday, possibly ending all hopes of solving aviation’s greatest mystery.

“In the absence of new evidence, Malaysia, Australia and China have collectively decided to suspend the search upon completion of the 120,000-square kilometre (46,300-square mile) search area,” Malaysian Transport Minister Liow Tiong Lai said after a meeting with his Australian and Chinese counterparts.

No credible info, till date

“Should credible new information emerge which can be used to identify the specific location of the aircraft, consideration will be given in determining next steps,” he said, reading from a joint statement. But it was clear that the searchers have given up hopes of finding the jetliner with less than 10,000 square kilometres (3,900 square miles) left to be searched.

In their statement, the Ministers acknowledged that “the likelihood of finding the aircraft is fading.”As Mr. Liow and the other two Ministers were addressing the news conference, representatives of the passengers’ families stood outside the building holding placards. “Find the plane, ease our pain,” read one placard.

Where did it go?

The Boeing 777 vanished more than two years ago while on a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing on March 8, 2014. It is believed to have turned back west and then south before dropping into the Indian Ocean west of Australia, where the search has been concentrated.

Mr. Liow said the current search was being hampered by bad weather and damaged equipment, but still it would end by December. Although the Ministers were at pains to say the search has not ended, it was evident that it highly unlikely to be resumed after December, given how few clues have emerged since the disappearance of the plane except for some debris that has been found off East Africa thousands of kilometres (miles) away.

Cost so far: 180 million Australian dollarsThe search has so far cost 180 million Australian dollars ($135 million) the most expensive in aviation history.
Representatives from Voice 370, a group representing family members of the plane’s 239 passengers and crew, met withAustralian officials in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday and urged the governments to suspend the search until new funds can be raised. They also called for a wider base of funding, including from Boeing and other plane and component manufacturers.

The three governments are involved because the airline was Malaysian, most of the passengers were Chinese, and the suspected crash site is off south-western Australia.

Controlled ditching?

There have been several theories surrounding the disappearance and the final hours of the flight, including that the plane glided into the water and didn’t dive in, indicating a controlled ditching.“We do not have any evidence to confirm that it was controlled ditching,” Mr. Liow said.A Western Australia University oceanographer Charitha Pattiaratchi, who has done extensive drift modelling, said the plane could have crashed slightly north of the current search area.

“The best guess that we think is that it’s probably around the Broken Ridge region, which is slightly to the north of the area that they’re looking at,” the oceanographer said.

Based on final satellite signals

Drift modelling was not used to define the search area because no parts of Flight 370 had been found before a wing flap washed up on La Reunion Island off the African coast a year ago. The search area was determined by analysis of satellite signals that the plane emitted in its final hours.But the Australian Transport Safety Bureau has previously said wreckage found on the south-western shores of the Indian Ocean was consistent with the plane crashing in the expansive search area.

Mr. Pattiaratchi’s modelling was based on how long the first piece of confirmed Flight 370 wreckage took to reach La Reunion, an island where confirmed plane debris was found, and his team’s calculations of the effects of currents, wind and waves on drifting debris put the crash site just north of the current search area.

Here, some hope

Australian Transport Minister Darren Chester has said experts will continue to analyze data and inspect the debris.“Future searches must have a high level of success to justify raising hopes of loved ones,” he said.
