The record breaking saga of Baahubali 2 at box office seems to commenced with the US premieres already.

A statement from the North America distributor of Baahubali 2, Great India Films, has ascertained the appalling $3M figure from advance bookings for premieres of Baahubali 2. Well, the number is steadily growing and the final premiere figure could be humongous. This is totally insane as the previous best was only around $1.3M.

“We have passed $3 million in pre-sales and are adding almost $100,000 to the total every hour. This is the highest for an Indian film in advance ticket sales,” read a statement from Great India Films.

Baahubali is gearing up for release in almost 1100 screens in North America. 900-950 screens are booked in the US alone. The epic film is expected to rake in phenomenal collections in its first weekend, $10M is the current prediction.

While the principle cast of Baahubali has been busy over the past few days promoting the film across the globe, milky beauty Tamanna who played the role of Avantika, was missing from action. Speculations were rife that she was upset with Rajamouli chopping off her scenes in second part without her knowledge.

When Tamanna was asked the same in a recent interview, she laughed off the rumors. The milky siren said that all such reports about her being upset with Rajamouli are far from realty and that she has always had huge respect for him and that will never change no matter what the reason is.

Tamanna confessed that she had a meaty role in part one and that her character will once again play a crucial role in the climax of Baahubali 2. She cited her busy schedule for skipping a few promotional events of Baahubali 2.

The craze of Baahubali 2 is everywhere pretty same. People have already decided to brave the scorching mercury outside to stand in queues and fetch tickets. Already online ticket booking websites are feeling tough to handle the traffic. Same is the case in the United States of America where tickets are getting sold like hot cakes.

But the major thing that is hurting audiences is the soaring ticket price as the government is not regulating the black market mafia. When the ticket price is officially kept at 30+ dollars in the USA, people have decided to boycott the film, hence the price is now brought down to 12 dollars, says a source. But such is not the case in Telugu states here.

While the second shows on Thursday night are priced at regular value by the theatre authorities, no ticket is, however, coming out at that rate. He described Jagan as a mighty hero like Baahubali, whereas Lokesh is a comical character like Brahmanandam. He said like Baahubali, Jagan would emerge victorious one day.

“We should render support to him like real soliders to see that Jagan will become the next CM,” he said.

He also said even though Jagan had closely lost the last election it was for his and party’s good that he could not win that.

He reasoned saying that it helped them and their chief to have better understanding of people’s problems and how they can resolve them.

He predicted that Jagan will definitely become CM in the next election and also went on saying that under the spiritual guidance of Dr YSR people will experience better governance in the state!

While distributors in most of the areas in US are selling Premiere tickets of Baahubali: The Conclusion for exorbitant prices, distributor of Ottawa is forced to put a cap on the price.

Original idea was to put 30$ for Premieres and 25$ for regular shows. Telugu people that are already fed up with these business tactics decided to boycott the film if they don’t fix a reasonable price.

OTA (Ottawa Telugu Association) issued stern warning to boycott watching Baahubali if they set high price for the ticket.

Distributor was left with no choice but to bow down to their demands and is selling the tickets for 12.25$ in Landmark Cinemas 24 Kanata, Ottawa.

This is widely appreciated by Telugu communities across the United States. Observers say that this incident could trigger a movement which may bring down the ticket prices of Telugu films in USA.

While ticket price of Hollywood and Bollywood films is just around 10$, Telugu distributors are milking local film lovers with exorbitant price tags, they told.

Currently, the biggest shocker to anyone who’s heavily interested in Baahubali 2 are the piracy clips that are circulating on the web. What sounded like dead blow is the leakage of parts of the film on social media.

Actually, one clip is being circulated as an Interval Bang of Baahubali 2 and that’s a fake one. It happens to be an ad of heroine Ramya Krishna wherein she features as Sivagami and speaking to scientists to give best pesticide and seeds for farmers. That happens to be an ad that has come a year ago. But the real shocker is from the second clip.

Those who have taken a note of the video are saying that it’s a Tamil version clip that lasts for two minutes and there are English subtitles coming out on the screen. Some shared that it happens to be a theatre abroad where someone recorded this on their mobile. But what will be more threatening is it just a 2-minute clip or 2 hours 51 minutes film that got pirates got hands on.

It’s better if people avoid this piracy stuff and watch The Pride Of Telugu Cinema in theatres.

Director K Viswanath has been adjudged with country’s one of best honours to film personalities Dadasaheb Phalke Award. Who’s who of Tollywood has responded and wished him, congratulated him personally or on social platforms.

Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, Allu Arjun have all personally visited him at his residence and congratulated him and felicitated personally for his outstanding contribution in the field of cinema and the latest achievement. Whereas other actors have tweeted and expressed their excitement on social media platforms.

However, one biggest star who is clearly missing is Mahesh Babu. Mahesh has neither took time to visit him which is so close to his residence nor he post a congratulatory tweet about him.

Senior Bollywood actor Vinod Khanna passed away on Thursday in Mumbai. The 70-year-old veteran actor was reportedly suffering from cancer.

Last month, a picture of the physically weak Khanna from hospital surfaced on social media and it went viral. It was speculated then that the actor was suffering from some serious aliment. His son Rahul Khanna however dismissed the reports and claimed that his father had a minor mishap.

Besides being credited as one of the most handsome lead actors ever in Bollywood, Khanna was also an active politician. He was the sitting BJP MP from Gurdaspur. With 140 plus films to his credit, he was last seen in Shah Rukh Khan’s Dilwale.

Film fraternity is deeply saddened at his death.
