Now a dynamic leader and Telangana people’s favorite politician, KTR, looks quite innocent in this throwback picture from about two decades ago. He must be twenty then.

KTR looked much younger in this picture and the leader himself admits in a funny tone, that this 20 year old pic and thought makes him feel old.

For years, people have liked to watch Sachin Tendulkar giving his victory speeches at various matches. Those who love this Cricket God equally love his simple and straight talk all the time. And here comes a headache now.

Actually, when the documentary film “Sachin: A Billion Dreams” is made, everyone thought that Sachin Tendulkar himself will give voice over and he did it. But how come Telugu audiences will be liking his Hindi speeches and also English dialogues? For that reason director James Erskine who planned a May 26th release for the film decided to dub the film into many Indian languages.

From last one week, this director is in Hyderabad testing voices of various popular dubbing artists and also Radio Jockeys working in Telugu film and media industries. Much to their dismay, however, they haven’t found even one suitable for the voice of Sachin Tendulkar. While films of star heroes get dubbed easily because no one wants a Telugu voice exactly like that of a Rajni or Surya, dubbing a voice close to that of Sachin has become a headache.

“Even after testing nearly 30 different voices, we have not found even one. Director is not happy with these local voices for Sachin though we’ve got other characters dubbed here already” a guy close to the dubbing theatre shared.

It has been long time since one has heard about Daggubati Venkateshwara Rao, former minister and eldest son-in-law of Telugu Desam Party founder N T Rama Rao.

Though his wife Daggubati Purandeshwari, former union minister, is still active as a Bharatiya Janata Party leader, he has been keeping away from politics.

However, on Wednesday, Daggubati surfaced in an interview to Sakshi and made sensational comments against present TDP supremo and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

He ridiculed Naidu’s claim that the latter was a man of integrity running a corruption-free politics.

“If what Naidu said is true, what about the cash-for-vote case which blatantly exposed his corrupt politics? Why did he run away from Hyderabad and settled down in Amaravati?” he asked.

Daggubati also pooh-poohed Naidu’s claim that it was he who had advised NTR to launch the TDP in 1982.

“It is a blatant lie. Naidu was in the Congress party then; and when we went to him and invited him to join the TDP, he clearly told us that NTR cannot run a political party.

He said NTR would not take out a penny from the pocket and it is not possible to run a political party without money. But the same gentleman did not waste a minute after NTR came to power. Within no time, he defected to the TDP and captured the entire party,” Daggubati recalled.

The former minister also explained how Naidu used to collect funds in the name of Mahanadu and Mini Mahanadu and misused the money.

“Such a person talking about integrity in politics is ridiculous,” he said.

Daggubati regretted for being part of Naidu’s game plan to dislodge NTR from power under some peculiar political circumstances.

“It is the most difficult and avoidable phase in my life,” he said.

The unprecedented attack on Telugu Desam Party general secretary and Andhra Pradesh information technology minister Nara Lokesh by a section of social media campaigners, allegedly affiliated to YSR Congress party triggered a wide debate in support of and against the use or misuse of social media.

The situation has gone to such an extent that the TDP government has begun crackdown on such social media campaigners who are posting objectionable content against Lokesh by morphing his pictures.

The arrest and subsequent release of pro-Jagan social media campaigner Inturi Ravi Kiran and the police raids on the digital media wing of the YSR Congress party office led to widespread criticism from all sections.

Former Rajahmundry MP Vundavalli Arun Kumar joined these protestors who are questioning the intimidation of social media by the ruling TDP. “What is wrong in calling Lokesh a “pappu”? Even Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi was also called pappu in the social media.

If the TDP starts over-reacting on the social media postings and resorts to intimidation of social media campaigners, it would only prove counter-productive to the government,” he warned.

On the proposed advancement of general elections, Vundavalli said if Naidu thought his party would stage a comeback to power by harping on the alleged corruption of YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, he was mistaken.

“The TDP can win the people’s mandate only if Naidu gets sufficient funds from the Centre to offset the revenue loss and also completes the Polavaram project by 2018,” the former MP said.

Telugu Desam Party leader and former MLA Shilpa Mohan Reddy, who has been creating headache for party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu over the party ticket for Nandyal assembly by-elections, is feeling humiliated.

For the last few hours, there have been rumours that Income Tax authorities had conducted raids on the house of Shilpa Mohan Reddy and seized huge amount of unaccounted wealth.

The media persons started running from pillar to post to get the rumours confirmed. Finally, it was revealed that there was no truth in these reports.

However, Shilpa has not taken these rumours easy. He felt humiliated and terribly upset.

“There is absolutely no truth in these reports. It is very clear that some of the leaders from my own party are spreading these canards to stall my contest from Nandyal assembly seat in the next by-elections,” he said, without referring to the names of Bhuma family members with whom he has political rivalries in Kurnool district.

Apparently, Shilpa is getting suffocated in the TDP with the group rivalries and inept handling of the party affairs by Naidu. May be, he is thinking it is safer to contest the Nandyal bypolls on the YSR Congress party ticket, instead of the TDP.

Indian veteran spin bowler Harbhajan Singh expressed anger over Jet Airways pilot for the latter’s alleged racist remarks against two Indians including physically challenged man. The star cricketer along with the victims Punjabi and Bollywood music director Jatinder Shah and Bollywood marketing professional Pooja Singh Gujral were travelling on flight from Chandigarh to Mumbai on April 3.

“So called this Bernd Hoesslin a pilot with @jetairways called my fellow indian(u bloody indian get out of my flight)while he is earning here (Sic),” tweeted Harbhajan Singh from his official handle, @harbhajan_singh.

“Not only was he racist but physically assaulted a lady and abused a physically challenged man..absolutely disgraceful &shame on @jetairways (Sic),” tweeted Harbhajan, who went on to appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene and make sure action is taken against the pilot. The cricket player demanded strict action against the pilot and such things should not be allowed or tolerated in our country..

A complaint was already lodged at the Sahar International Airport police station. Taking serious note of the issue, the Jet Airways agreed to give a written apology to the music director and his friend.
