Instead of sharing the empathy of the families of farmers who have committed suicides and trying to ameliorate their pain, a legislator has taken the bizarre example of Hema Malini’s drinking habits and linked it to farmer suicides.
Talking about farmer suicides in India, an independent MLA in Maharashtra, Omprakash Babarao, said at a press conference that yesteryear actress-turned-politician Hema Malini drinks everyday but she didn’t commit suicide. Further hitting at farmers and their drinking habits, he added, “Not just Hema Malini, 75 per cent MLAs and MPs drink. Are they committing suicides?.”
Statistical reports claim that more than 200 farmers committed suicide only in the Marathwada region of Maharashtra in the first three months of 2017. Instead of understanding the seriousness of farmers’ problems in the drought-hit region and coming up with solutions, the lawmaker has made these imbecile statements.

Genius filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, who is known for his rants on twitter against celebrities, has been surprising one and all over the past two days with his apologies.
The other day, he apologized to fans of Pawan Kalyan for continuously targeting their favorite star and them. Later, he apologized to Tiger Shroff for making ‘woman’ comment against him. Afresh, on twitter platform, he sought an apology from both Naga Babu and Varun Tej.
Varma said that he read the comments of Varun against him about Naga Babu and that he regret making them. He then apologized to both the father and son. He added that if he was the younger brother of Chiranjeevi, he would have thrashed the one who made comments against him. ‘Being a gentleman, Naga Babu restricted himself to just words,’ Varma said.
It is known that Naga Babu’s outburst against Varma for making comments on Chiru were witnessed during the pre-release function of Khaidi No.150. Varma later made a series of comments targeting Naga Babu and the issue became more complex. He has now surprisingly sought an apology for his comments.
Don’t be surprised if RGV makes a tweet later saying his account was hacked and that he didn’t make those apology tweets.

The controversy erupted in the family over the death of NRI Madhukar Reddy who had committed suicide in Seattle in the US on April 4, hasn’t calmed down. It all began at his final rights where the relatives of Gudur Madhukrar Reddy attacked his wife Swathi Reddy blaming her for Madhukar’s suicide.
While Swathi totally denied and stated that Madhukar had been going through depression and also counter-alleged that he and his family had “tortured” her a lot, she alleged that his family is cooking up issue in order to evade the property sharing. Swathi had lodged complaint with police against her in-laws and sought her security alleging threat from her husband’s relatives.
The latest development is that Swathi, who is staying with her parents in Hyderabad in Sowbhagya Puram, Kothapet, attempted suicide on Thursday late night. Swathi’s parents have asked to take stern action against her husband’s relatives. Swathi is mother of a girl.

“Baahubali” has brought not just superstardom to Prabhas in India but also fetched him international recognition. As per latest reports, the Game of Thrones makers are also highly impressed with Prabhas.
The stunt and animation team that worked for Game of Thrones and some other Hollywood biggies has reportedly worked for Baahubali. They were said to be stunned by Prabhas’ commitment and dedication for the film. They were especially amazed at the time invested by Prabhas and his inspiring transformation and physical efforts.
No other Indian actor has so far committed four years of his prime time for just one film. The huge risk taken by Prabhas however brought him rich dividends in the form of international acclaim.
Star filmmaker Sreenu Vaitla’s last two films were duds. At a crucial juncture in his career, Sreenu Vaitla came up with Mister featuring Varun Tej as the lead. Did the star director come out of his shell and delivered the goods? Is Mister worth watching? Let’s find out.
Story :
Chay (Varun Tej) falls in love with Meera (Hebah) but he comes to learn that she is already in love with some other person. When Meera’s love runs into a problem, Chay goes to solve it and unite the lovers. On his way he meets Chandramukhi (Lavanya), a naive girl who doesn’t know anything about the modern society. Little does he know that he could run into a bigger problem because of her. Meanwhile, Chandramukhi falls in love with Chay and also Meera also starts having feelings for him.
Performances:
Varun Tej is growing confident with each film. He has shown that he has a good comic timing. He is extremely handsome and stylish in the character of an NRI. He is particularly impressive in action sequences. With better scripts he does have the potential to join the big league. Lavanya Tripathi is a fine performer and she did a commendable job as Chandramukhi. Hebah also did her bit. Murali Sharma’s character is over the top. Harish Uthaman is alright. Rajesh got a meaty role. Prudhvi is entertaining as usual. There is a huge supporting cast and everyone did their part.
Technicalities:
Sreenu Vaitla finally comes out of Ready hangover and doesn’t rely on a hero making villain a bakara’ concept. Mister is a usual family drama that has touches of Sreenu Vaitla’s school of humor. Vaitla who is usually at the top of his game is surely struggling to find form. Many of his attempts at comedy didn’t yield desired results. Mister will go down as another disappointing film from the ace director.
Songs are average. Mickey who usually comes up with soulful melodies failed to live up to expectations. Cinematography is good. There are some breathtaking aerial shots of Spain. Dialogues are good in parts. Editing could have been better especially in the second half. Production values are rich. All credits to the producers, the film is shot in lavish locations and is visually stunning.

Analysis:
Mister starts off on an entertaining note and looks cool until the first hour. Things go topsy turvy once the protagonist lands in India. It is evident that the director is not at his best, but he managed to keep the audience entertained by introducing new characters at frequent intervals. Despite a few laughs, Mister clearly missed the humorous stamp of Sreenu Vaitla. The attempt of spoofing Oopiri hasn’t clicked.
Although first half is fairly entertaining and passable, the second half turned out to be a total mess. Lavanya’s family background is unbelievably idiotic and those elaborate scenes to establish the cruelness and stupidity of her family never allows the film to bounce back. And the sacrificing saga of heroines towards the climax makes it all the more tedious.
It is evident that Sreenu Vaitla wanted to give a new experience to viewers with the Devaraya’s backdrop in that village of Karnataka, but that never sounded authentic at any point. In fact it looked silly and made the whole movie seem like a bad joke. A regular damsel in distress and the love triangle laced with comedy might have turned out better than this overcomplicated mess.
Second half of the movie is so bad that it almost makes us forget about the positives in its first half. Sreenu Vaitla stretches it a far too much to add sentiment to the proceedings with the introduction of grandfather character towards the end. Mister is a badly written, poorly executed but lavishly shot film that will put the audience’s patience to test. It would need a miracle to stay in theaters until Baahubali arrives.
Verdict: Misfire!

Do you remember the last film of director Srinu Vaitla that didn’t feature Brahmanandam? Its hard to tell, such is the frequency and regularity of their collaboration. Vaitla has reportedly given a break to their streak with his latest film ‘Mister’. Now, the question is, can he entertain audiences without Brahmi?
When Brahmi’s image was weakening in the early 2000s due to the success of new age comedians, it was Vaitla who provided a break to the senior comedian with Venky. Ever since, Vaitla continued to create special characters for Brahmi in all of his films and taste hits. While Brahmi regained his stardom, Vaitla emerged to be the care of address for entertainment.
However, the same comedy tracks that elevated the duo’s image, damaged their careers in the past few years since vexed audiences started rejecting the stale comedy. After failures such as Aagadu and Bruce Lee, Vaitla had to take a long gap to make Mister. For this film, he sacrificed his association with Brahmi, which is probably the biggest change that he brought to Mister.
Vaitla claimed that comedy tracks will be fresh in Mister. Let’s wait and see how far he can entertain audiences without the help of Brahmi, who saved most of his films at box office.

From some time, Telugu industry is also suffering through various emotional ups and downs as many leading filmmakers, heroes and producers are going through a rough phase in their personal lives. And one such news is about director Sreenu Vaitla as his wife Roopa lodged a case against him in Jubilee Hills police station.
Post the release and flop show of “Bruce Lee” at the box office, it’s heard that Vaitla lost his cool due to the effect of the result and slapped his wife during a discussion. That led to huge discussions in Film Nagar about the couple getting divorced very sooner. But things took a turn with the involvement of some biggies from Tollywood and the couple are on a happy note now.
However, Roopa Vaitla, who is currently giving interviews to media houses about her fashion designing work for the movie “Mister”, is not willing to talk about this. We hear that the media folks who went to interview her were given a prior briefing about what questions should be asked and what not. And this instruction came in a requesting tone, for which the media too obliged.
Now that Sreenu and Roopa are in a happy space, hope that this continues forever and they live as a good example for many. Yes, fights do occur, but it is the reunions that matter.
