Rajamouli Puts Krish And Telugu Daily To Shame

Share

rajamouli1450712225

SS Rajamouli today revealed some details on Twitter that cleared the doubts regarding his promotion of Gautamiputra Satakarni.

After the release of the movie, the team of GPSK came in for praise from all quarters. But Rajamouli not only praised Krish on Twitter, he also conducted an interview of Krish and later, an open letter of his was published by Eenadu in which Rajamouli praised Krish and his team to the skies.

Later, another letter of Krish was published in the same newspaper in response to Rajamouli’s letter thanking Rajamouli for his support.

Seeing all this, people were a bit shocked as to why Rajamouli was going to such lengths to promote Nandamuri Balakrishna’s film.

Even Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi No 150 had released on the same day and Rajamouli had welcomed the comeback of the megastar. But that was nothing compared to the kind of publicity he was giving for GPSK.

Rajamouli has a name in the industry for not belonging to any camp and being passionate only about films and maintaining good relations with everyone.

He is an actor’s director and is above petty considerations such as caste, region and religion. Now, Rajamouli himself has cleared the air on the whole episode on Twitter.

Here are his tweets, reproduced verbatim:
When i was asked to do an interview with krish i obliged because i liked GPSK and genuinely appreciated it. I was asked whether they can use the excerpts of the same interview for print media too and i agreed. But, I was surprised to see when it was published as if I have written a letter.

True the content is taken from the interview but the way it was phrased is a bit over dramatic. I asked krish and he said it is his team’s over enthusiasm. I waited for a clarification from them but it didnt come through.

My view towards the film, Krish and his team hasn’t changed. I wish the film collects even more paving way for more historicals…Just that the letters are not written by me..

Anushka Photoshopped Or Real??

From a time, there is huge discussion going around hottie Anushka Shetty’s appearance in Baahubali 2. As versatile director SS Rajamouli has shot most of the film post our Mangalore hottie’s weight-putting-on for Size Zero movie, many wondered how jittery her physique will appear in different scenes of this most hyped sequel.

Just for the sake of Anushka’s weight issue, it’s rumoured that the filming of Baahubali 2 got delayed for a time, say rumours. Whatever they maybe but Anushka’s recent appearances at some events proved that she hasn’t lost whole of fat she has put on for Size Zero and still looks little plump than the original Devasena she was supposed to be. But here comes a shocker.

As the latest poster of Baahubali 2 that features both Prabhas and Anushka, the Amarendra Baahubali and Devasena of Mahishmati, got released today, everyone is stunned with the mesmeric hot looks of the Arundathi siren. Definitely we get a doubt if Anushka really appeared such slim and curvaceous in the pictures for real.

Maybe if these pictures are clicked three years back when the shooting was started and there was no thought about releasing the film in two parts, there are chances that Anushka is such slimmer. Otherwise there is a benefit of doubt that the Mumbai based poster designers who carved out this epic poster have photoshopped her images to bring such ravishing feel into place.

Only after watching the film, one could really find out if Anushka really lost oodles of weight she has put on or the photoshop magic did job for her in the posters.

Biggest Failure Of Telugu Star Heroes' Fans

Share

chiru-4

It’s clear and loud when heroine Trisha opposed the Jallikattu game through her tweets, it is her fans who jumped into the fray first and started attacking her. Maybe we have to say that her fans want her to do what they love but don’t want what Trisha loves and advocates. Thanks to the pressure, Trisha finally started supporting upliftment of ban on Jallikattu in Tamilnadu. Are Telugu heroes fans the same?? Nope, they are not!!

Whether it is AP Special Status Demand, or Hudhud Cyclone Relief work or anything else, many star heroes are always silent. When one particular star hero responds, fans of that hero actually started throwing mud on other heroes for not responding. Other than this blind worshipping of heroes like Gods, when will fans start to live in reality and demand their own stars to do something for society. If fans don’t, it will be their biggest failure.

For example, when RGV tweeted last night that Mahesh Babu is a traitor for not supporting AP Special Status movement, we could see on the timeline of this maverick director a massive fight between Mahesh supporters versus others. When others are blasting Mahesh, his fans are defending his silence. Same is the case with other stars like Prabhas and Jr NTR too, as they kept silent on Special Status issue, their opponent fans are blasting them.

But what could be noted here is, why not Mahesh fans ask Mahesh or NTR’s fans ask NTR to talk about Special Status demand? Even we could say why Chiranjeevi and Balayya’s fans who are enjoying Khaidi No 150 and Gautamiputra Satakarni successes are not asking their stars to talk about special status. Should our fans learn a thing or too from Trisha’s fans? Yes, they should.

Whether these star heroes are pro-special status or anti-special status, they should bounce their opinion to fans rather sitting silent. And these fans should make their own stars talk rather than attacking other heroes on social media. Constructive opinions and sensible talk is what fans should also learn when it comes to this blind worshipping of heroes above everything.

As Gautamiputra Satakarni turned out to be biggest hit in Nandamuri Balakrishna’s career beating his previous record of Legend, the actor is planning to throw a lavish cocktail party to the film’s unit. As the movie had crossed Rs 50 Crore share in 8 days and ruling the BO, buoyed Balayya has decided to give a grand party to the whole unit of GPSK.

After thanking the fans in US who made him achieve remarkable 1.5 Million USD mark for the first time in his career, Balayya, who just returned to Hyderabad, is reportedly giving treat at a star hotel on Friday. Apparently, Balayya insisted that each and everyone who has worked for the film must attend the party.

Besides the commercial success & critical acclaim, Balayya is delighted to do such a film as his landmark 100th film. Acclaimed director Krish has told the historic epic in a captivating way and Burra’s dialogues have made big difference.

Will Be CM in 2 Yrs…Will See Your End: Jagan

Leader of Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy lost his cool on police officials in Vizag and warned them that he would not leave them after becoming the chief minister in two years. Jagan said he would not forget them and remind them by their names and won’t spare them.

YS Jagan, who is in Vizag airport to attend the candle light rally on RK Beach supporting the demand for Special Status to AP, was denied entry into Vizag city by police due to prevailing conditions. Along with his party MPs Y Vijaysai Reddy, YV Subba Reddy and leader Ambati Rambabu, Jagan Reddy staged protest on the runway in Vizag airport and shouted slogans in favour of Special Status to AP.

High drama was witnessed. After argument between Jagan and police officials, he was brought out. Jagan, however, said in a serious tone, “Two years…in only two years, I’ll be the CM. I’ll not leave anyone of you. I’ll not forget your names. I won’t spare you.”

Cops later said that Jagan wasn’t allowed as precautionary measures to avoid any untoward incidents. Due to Republic Day  and imposing of Section 144 & ahead of CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) summit in Vizag. Prohibitory orders were issued in a one-kilometer vicinity of the airport, 15 km away from the city. This said to have prevented Jagan from entering into Vizag.

Earlier, Vizag Police Commissioner T Yoganand announced that anyone who tried to stage a protest in the city in violation of the prohibitory orders, would be arrested. “We will arrest Jagan or anyone,” Yoganand asserted. A large number of police and armed personnel were posted at the airport and plans were made to allegedly detain Jagan as and when he arrived.

First Telugu hero to join protests in vizag

Keeping up his promise made on Twitter, Tollywood actor Sampoornesh flew down to Vishakapatnam to stand in support of silent protest for Special Status. In fact, he is the first Telugu hero, also first hero from Telangana, to join the people’s protest.

While many young actors like Sai Dharam Tej, Sundeep Kishan, Nithin, Manchu Manoj, Varun Tej and others have voiced out their support on social media, it is only Sampoo stood by his promise to join the protest on Republic day. Along with few others protestors, actor Sampoo walked down the streets of Vizag and few minutes later, he has been taken into police custody and sent to Bhimili station.

On other hand, the Vizag city Police has put up huge barricades at RK beach to terminate protestors from reaching the venue. Some special police teams have been deployed to meekly observe all the moves and curb students from joining the beach protest.

All the government actions to diminish the protestors were highly criticized by YSRCP chief Jaganmohan Reddy while Jana Sena leader Pawan Kalyan taking swipe at state and central government through his twitter posts.

Chowdary asks youth to play pig fights rather AP special status fight

Courting a major controversy on the burning issue of Special Category Status to AP, Union Minister Sujana Chowdary made sensational remarks as he not just ruled out the chances of declaring status but advised protesters to ‘go and play cockfights, pigfights’ instead of they get inspired from Jallikattu sport.

“Equating Special Status with Jallikattu sport is nonsense. If they get inspired from Jallikattu, let them go and play cockfights, pigfights,” Sujana was quoted as saying.

Sujana further questioned that one should come out and openly say under what rule, under what section injustice is meted out to AP and said only then he would answer. He said, ” If injustice is being done to AP, why will Chandrababu remain a silent witness?” Sujana added that Naidu won’t compromise when it comes to the state’s welfare.

As people voluntarily set to do a silent protest for Special Status in Vizag and elsewhere in AP on Jan 26th, Sujana’s comments seem to be provoking.

Meanwhile, leaders like Pawan Kalyan, Jayaprakash Narayan and Opposition leader YS Jagan have supported silent peaceful protest demanding Special Status.

It can be noted that former PM Manmohan Singh had announced in Parliament to accord Special Category Status to AP during the bifurcation of the state.

Chiru, Did You Pick The Right Director?

Share

Basking in the glory of his 150th movie success, Megastar Chiranjeevi is now moving forward from Khaidi No. 150 as he starts his fitness sessions to grow leaner for next film. He will be seen as freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, who was touted to be the first ever man to revolt against British in 1846 itself much before the 1857 Sepoy revolt.

Cut to our point, this film is not being directed by Boyapati Sreenu as expected, but Surender Reddy is helming it. Known for his stylish filmmaking rather some loud and emotional high films, how far Surender will be a perfect director to handle this film related to freedom movement. Also the film deals with extensive visual effects and period work, with which Surender has not much rapport. That leads a question that did Chiru pick the right director?.

Underestimating the capabilities of this stylish director is not the point here, but one needs experience to handle period films and emotional adrenaline rushing subjects. Probably Rajamouli or a Krish would suit well for this movie of Chiranjeevi, say experts. However, until Dookudu happened, none believed Sreenu Vaitla could deliver an action film. So hope Surender Reddy will also mesmerise with his terrific work for this freedom-backdrop film.

Meanwhile Paruchuri Brothers are writing script and dialogues for this movie, and no doubt they are pioneers to carving out hair raising one liners for patriotic movies. We have to see how far they work in tandem with Surender Reddy to deliver a stunning 151st for Chiranjeevi.

Jagan in Vizag, Pawan in Shoot

As the demand for the Special Category Status to the successor state of Andhra Pradesh gripped the state, Opposition leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has reached Vizag to support the ‘Silent Protest’ demanding Special Status to AP.

YS Jagan was heckled by police personnel at the Vizag airport and Jagan has sit on the runway protesting cops who are not allowing peaceful protest. Jagan and his supporters blamed the state government’s approach in the whole issue.

Youth of AP gave a call to organise Jallikattu-type ‘Silent Protest’ in Vizag near RK Beach on Jan 26th and police department has denied permission and since morning the area has been cordoned off and police took many protesters into custody.

Meanwhile, Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan, who was the first to support Vizag’s ‘Silent Protest’, limited to the film’s shoot and stick to voicing his opinion in favour of the moment via social media. Pawan is quite active today and keep tweeting whole day. He also responded on YS Chowdary’s “pigfights” remark.

Had Pawan come personally to Vizag to extend his support, it’d have been totally different. His fans would had joined in large numbers in support of the movement and it’d had totally changed the movement.

No Media Coverage On RK Beach Protest!

Share

1485429393-1754

People of AP are very curious over the happenings in Vizag as state’s youth has taken upon the biggest responsibility of achieving special status through silent protest.

Those having access to social media are able to get their eyes on the happenings thanks to some active social media pages and handles. However, people who rely on TV channels for news, are unable to know what’s happening in Vizag as there is very less media coverage.

One reason for this could be the Republic Day. Local as well as national media is busy telecasting patriotic programs so the protest in AP could have got overshadowed. If not national media, at least our local channels should have shown some concern for the fight of its people.

Meanwhile, opposition parties are alleging that pro-TDP media is purposely staying away from covering the happenings in Vizag. Sakshi, which belongs to the opposition party leader YS Jagan is the only media house that is telecasting the live happenings in Vizag. As the channel is owned by opposition party chief, its reports have authenticity issues. On the whole, people of AP are largely unaware of the current situation in Vizag.

Keeping the reasons aside, the highly anticipated protest couldn’t reach out to people. Small groups of people from other cities of AP are protesting from their native places but they also failed to create any impact.

Don't I Deserve Padma Award?

Jwala Gutta, a popular badminton star, is not an aggressive on the shuttle court but she’s also well known for daringly expressing her angst and making public outburst on national organizations that failed to recognize her work. When it comes to fighting Badminton of India (BAI) or irking Sports Authority of India (SAI), Jwala always felt she was being discriminated by the system.

Now, in a very recent incident, the Hyderabadi shuttler took a swipe at Padma awards and the system for ignoring her 15 years of incessant work to the nation. Hours after the central government announced list the Padma Awardees, the star player who didn’t find her name in the list indirectly attacked jury and the system that failed to recognize her medals and laurels for the country.

Being one of the specialist players when it comes to doubles, Jwala Gutta won several medals and tournaments in her brief career and her victorious pairing with Ashwini Ponnappa was ranked best in 2015.

In her social media outburst against the system, the 33-year old badminton player alleged that Padma Awards will work for recommendations. Read the complete post where she feels ‘let down’ and raged against the discrimination that led to denial of Padma award for her:

“I always wondered the concept of applying for particular award which is the most reputed awards in our country.. but then that’s what the procedure is.. so I did apply…applied cos it’s prestigious to have the award..cos I thought maybe I made the people of my country proud by my game and deserved it…I have been playing for this country for more than 15 years now..and have won so many prestigious tournaments..I thought maybe I should apply..but I guess it’s never enough..you need recommendations, recommendations that you deserve an award. You need to put in a word and get letters and the list goes on and on..but the question I still have is why do I have to apply for an award and also ask for recommendation. Aren’t my credentials good enough? Well I am really curious about the whole system..My two consecutive medals, Delhi CWG gold and Glasgow silver is not enough, My World Championships medal is not enough, I was top 10 ranked in this women doubles and mixed doubles and my superseries performance and medals in Grand Prix gold is not enough..I’m 15 times NationaI champion and I am also the first Indian to qualify for two events in Olympics in Indian history, I’m the first Indian to win a medal after Prakash Padukone sir in world championships and so many other firsts.. I have laid path for doubles in Badminton for our country when nobody took it seriously..but it’s simply isn’t enough..why cos I am outspoken? Cos I am opinionated? why is it that I am being denied of this particular award? Now I really don’t know should I be asking for this award…or I simply don’t deserve it. if this is not enough what is?”

It’s already known that the list of sports persons who would receive Padma awards include former captain MS Dhoni, cricketer Virat Kohli, Hockey captain PR Sreejesh, PV Sindhu Wrestler Sakshi Malik, Para-athlete Deepa Malik, Mariyappan Thangavelu and others.

Generally directors approach producers and heroes with scripts. Ghazi director Sankalp Reddy and hero Rana have a different story.

Ghazi is a special film on Indian screens based on underwater action centered on true events from 1971 Indo-Pakistan war. The film starring Rana, Tapsee, Kay Kay Menon and others is releasing on February 17th in multiple languages and in Hindi it is The Ghazi Attack.

Sankalp first made a research on Pakistan submarine PNS Ghazi and its mysterious sinking in Vizag shallow waters during the 1971 war time. He wrote a book and then adopted it for a feature film.

“Sankalp constructed a submarine set in lower tank bund, Hyderabad and prepared a project on how to manage the shooting inside. I was actually surprised knowing this and met him. I read Ghazi story completely and requested him to make me a part of his project,” Rana said.  Produced jointly by PVP Cinema and Matinee Entertainments, Ghazi is a high budgeted technical extravaganza with world class underwater shots.

Heroine Showing Stars To Producers

Buzz in film circles is that the heroine of a soon to be released Telugu film is troubing her producers by not attending the promotional activities.

Although this heroine started off her career with a blockbuster in tollywood, she became a top heroine in Kollywood. She kept herself busy with Tamil films and rarely accepted the offers of Telugu filmmakers. Knowing her partiality towards Tamil cinema, rarely a Telugu filmmaker dared to cast her in.

If not for her two earlier hits with this hero hailing from a noted family, she wouldn’t have got this project in the first place. Now, she is reportedly giving a hard time to her producers when they ask her to cooperate in promoting her own film. She is heard to be in the city and deliberately avoiding the phone calls from the hero and producers, flaunting her starry tantrums.

The hero reportedly had to advance the release date due to some inevitable reasons and with this heroine skipping promotions, he had to look after the promotional activities all by himself, losing many scheduled dates of his ongoing films.

Besides this film, she has only one other Telugu film in production stage. If she continues to show stars to Telugu film makers, no doubt she has to pack her bags to Kollywood very soon.

'B Com Lo Physics' Effect, Stars Avoiding Interviews

Share

Why the celebs of this generation are shying from giving interviews to even popular YouTube channels?

Earlier, actors used to actively promote their films by giving interviews to noted print as well as digital media houses. As the digital revolution progressed in the last couple of years, a horde of YouTube channels took birth and they also started interviewing stars and reached upto getting exclusive interviews. The response from the celebs was very amicable at first as they identified YouTube a great platform to promote their side.

However, in the quest to create sensation, some of the YouTube channel interviewers, started shooting personal questions and many of them are pushing the celebs into a tight spot. After MLA Jaleel Khan got trolled to the top of internet, for studying Physics subject in his B Com course, many celebs are staying away from these youtube interviews, so that they need not come up with awkward answers and poker faces.

On the flip side, many interviewers who wants to sensationalize their interview for hits, started irritating the celebs with irrelevant, and controversial questions. Usually, the film celebrities try to keep their privacy and not all of them will be ready to be an open book on live.

These led to a gradual slump in the interest of celebs towards interviews for even popular YouTube channels. They are moving back to promote themselves and their movies on TV shows and recorded interviews, where they can have some control on what they are willing to answer.

Looks like the YouTube interviewers are falling down to hit the rock bottom, thanks to their controversial questions to garner more viewership.

RK Beach protests: Gitam university warns its students

Share

As the big day to fight for Andhra Pradesh special status is finally here, students and youth organizations of Vizag and entire state are gathering to join peace rally at RK beach.

Amidst growing tensions, Gitam University in Vishakapatnam has sent out a message to all the students and their parents asking not to take part in any kind of protests. Instructing their students to beware of social media invitations and asking them to stay from joining the protest at RK beach, the University Registrar warned ‘Participation in such activities will be viewed seriously’.

Not just the Gitam University, many colleges and other educational institutions in Vishakapatnam are sending out similar alerts to students, following the guidelines from Police department. Considering high chances of involvement of some anti-social elements, the TDP government is making all efforts to diminish their strength and drain down the protesting atmosphere.

Meanwhile, a group of students and JAC leaders of Andhra University have been taken into police custody and we would see more such incidents over the day. On top of it, Andhra Pradesh state Police is meekly observing the moves of all student groups and planning to cease them before reaching the event venue.

This MLA Is More Powerful Than Minister!

Share

Chintamaneni1485352472

Telugu Desam Party MLA from Denduluru Chintamaneni Prabhakar is known for his aggressive behavior and foul-mouth character.

He doesn’t care anybody despite a lot of negative reports about him in the media about his illegal activities like sand mining and his rude behavior with women.

He is so powerful that even chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu does not dare to take any action against him.

More often than not, Prabhakar tries to cross his limits and enter the affairs of other constituencies as well. The other day, this MLA attended an official programme in Chintalapudi, without even informing the local minister Peethala Sujatha, who represents the constituency.

Sujatha registered her strong protest against the MLA attending a programme in her constituency, without her knowledge.

She questioned the MLA as to why he had attended for inauguration of a cinema theatre in her constituency. But, he has reportedly given a blunt response stating that “They invited me, I didn’t take permission from the minister.”

He also made it clear that he would go whichever place, if he was invited. Even he clarified that he need not to inform any one about his visits. An angry Sujatha warned him stating that she would spare the MLA if he tried to behave like this as this constituency is reserved for SCs.
