After an eight-month hiatus, actor Nithiin has finally commenced work on Telugu romantic-drama “Lie” with director Hanu Raghavapudi.

The title “Lie” stands for Love is Endless.

“Finally, some lights, camera and action after 8 months! 1st day of shoot for dir Hanu and 14 Reels production. Super nervous as usual,” Nithiin tweeted.

The film marks the debut of actress Megha Akash.

While the first schedule will be shot in Hyderabad, the team will head to US in February.

“We will shoot for over a month in the US. We hope to complete at least 50 percent of the film with this schedule,” a source from the film’s unit told IANS.

Actor Ram Charan, who has produced his father Chiranjeevi’s comeback film “Khaidi No 150”, will also be bankrolling his next project.

“It was an honour to produce dad’s film. A lot of people have been asking what my next production will be. It’s going to be another film with dad. We will make an announcement about the cast, director and other details soon,” Ram Charan told IANS.

“Khaidi No 150”, which is Chiranjeevi’s 150th film, also happens to be Ram Charan’s maiden production venture.
In the film, directed by V.V Vinayak, the megastar plays dual roles.

The highly anticipated film, a remake of Tamil blockbuster “Kaththi”, is slated for worldwide release on January 11.

Also starring Kajal Aggarwal, Tarun Arora, the film has music by Devi Sri Prasad.

The blessing in disguise is Chiru himself who looks much younger than his age. Chiru attempts to prove that he hasn’t lost his grip on dance moves, fights. Kajal Aggarwal is easy on eyes and pair looks good on screen.

The trailer also reveals the film’s plot – how a farmer (earning in 1000s of rupees) takes on a multi national company that possess lakhs of crore black money.

On the whole, it’s a regular trailer with commercial packaging and may disappoint many who expected a lot from Chiru’s comeback.

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Prestigious 150th film, Khaidi No 150 is all set for a grand release in Sankranthi. Haaiilands Open Grounds on Vijayawada and Guntur Highway is gearing up for Khaidi No 150 Pre-Release Event this evening. Entire Khandhan of Mega family is expected to attend the event.

But then the venue of the event got changed twice before that. Chiranjeevi in an interview revealed how officials granted permission for Indira Gandhi Stadium, Vijayawada later denied citing Court Orders. He also revealed how the permission was also denied for the event at a stadum in Guntur.

Chiranjeevi went on to say that he did not think that there is political pressure on the officials but gave enough hints about the pressure. Mega Family heroes have developed this sentiment of having no audio function and celebrating a Pre-Release event. This happened with Stylish Star Allu Arjun’s Sarainodu, Allu Sirish’s Srirasthu Subhamasthu and recently for Ram Charan’s Dhruva. The sentiment worked for all the films so far and so Chiranjeevi is following it for Khaidi No 150 as well.

Jr Ntr is taking up biggest challenge of his career with the film titled ‘Jai Lava Kusa’ in the direction of Bobby aka Ravindra Reddy. As it sounds from the title, NTR is playing triple roles with all three character names mentioned in the movie name.

Nandamuri Kalyanram is bankrolling this high budget project on NTR Arts banner and the above said title is also registered with the Film Chamber.

Currently, Bobby is working rigorously on pre production and as soon as the script work comes to final stage in next one week or so, shooting schedules will be officially announced on the launching day of February 10th.

Is this an indirect message from Pawan Kalyan on skipping the event because he could have extended these wishes from main stage at Haailand but why he got the same posted on Twitter?

Ever since reports surfaced that Krishnam Raju could have been the probable for Tamil Nadu Governor, there is a sense of shock in AP BJP.

Although there has been no official confirmation from the centre yet, fans started celebrations already. However, the buzz in the political circles is that several senior leaders in AP are affecting Krishnam Raju’s chances of becoming TN’s Governor.

Apparently, these leaders are arguing with the BJP top brass that Krishnam Raju was an opportunist who quit BJP to join PRP in 2009 and later Congress when it came into power and then jumped back into BJP after it came into power in 2014.

These leaders are of the opinion that instead of honoring loyal party leaders like Daggubati Purandheswari and Kanna Lakshminarayana, making Krishnam Raju will send wrong signals to the rest of the leaders in the party.

On the other hand, Krishnam Raju is said to be lobbying hard for the Governor’s post through Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh. Even former DGP and ex YSRCP leader Dinesh Reddy is also lobbying with the help of bureaucrats in Delhi to get the Governor’s chair.

For 2016 Sankranthi, we have witnessed four Telugu films competing at box office and all of them put together collected a gross of around Rs 200 Cr. This year, three major films are releasing and Rs 250 Cr is at stake. Is this amount recoverable?

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s ‘Khaidi No.150’ has done a pre-release theatrical business of around of Rs 90 Cr so the film needs to gross Rs 140-150 Cr at box office. Balayya’s GPS needs to collect around Rs 70 Cr gross. Dil Raju’s Shatamanam Bhavathi is also carrying good buzz and it was sold to decent prices. This Sharwanand starrer should gross around Rs 30 Cr to make distributors happy.

When we accrue all the three figures, a total of Rs 250 Cr is riding on the Sankranthi films. Rs 200 Cr gross was made possible by the films of last Sankranthi but this time, the target heightened by Rs 50 Cr. Recovery is tough but not impossible.

TFI is witnessing two craziest films, Khaidi No.150 and GPS, hitting screens this year. Audiences are expected to throng to theatres to watch the landmark films of the two senior heroes irrespective of the word of mouth. Several theatres have been renovated in the Telugu states keeping the Sankranthi releases in mind. Ticket rates might also see significant rise.

As 60 per cent of the total gross depends on Khaidi No.150, if the megastar’s film meets expectations, Rs 250 Cr gross is well possible.
