BlackBerry offers secure apps via Microsoft’s Azure Cloud Platform
New Delhi: BlackBerry, a global leader in secure mobile communications, on Tuesday announced that more of BlackBerry’s secure enterprise mobility solutions have been added to the open, flexible, enterprise-grade cloud computing platform Microsoft Azure.Enterprises can now opt to install and deploy the Good Dynamics Secure Mobility Platform by BlackBerry through Microsoft Azure to mobilize a broad range of business apps, including collaboration apps, ISV apps and custom-developed apps.
With Good Dynamics in Microsoft Azure, the growing number of businesses in emerging enterprise cloud environments can leverage enhanced security to ensure critical business data is never put at risk.“With BlackBerry´s Good Dynamics now on the Microsoft Azure platform, we continue to help protect customers’ data and enhance our ecosystem of business-critical apps,” said Steve Guggenheimer, Corporate Vice President, Developer Experience & Evangelism and Chief Evangelist, Microsoft Corp.

Since March 2016, enterprises have been able to install and manage their BES12 deployment through the Microsoft Azure platform.
This means customers have full access to their BES12 licenses while benefiting from the Microsoft cloud architecture – without having to invest in their own IT infrastructure.Good Dynamics is also tightly integrated with BES12 for secure holistic end-to-end capabilities and is available in the Good Secure EMM Suites from BlackBerry.
Hacker discovers flaw in Twitter’s Vine service, gets $10,080
Mumbai: An Indian white hat hacker has been awarded $10,080 (Rs 6.8 lakh approximately) by micro-blogging website Twitter for discovering a security flaw related to its video sharing service Vine.According to Hacker News, Avinash Singh, was responsible for discovering the flaw which rendered Twitter’s complete Vine source code publicly available. Twitter had started Vine in 2012 as a shot-video sharing platform where users can share six-second-long looping video clips.
The report pointed out that Singh was able to discover a Docker image for Vine using nifty Internet-wide scanning tool Censys.io. Docker, an open-cource container technology which helps run more apps on old servers, is gaining popularity among companies.The Docker images used by Vine, as stated by Singh, were publicly available online instead of being private. Singh was able to download approximately 80 images but he only downloaded ‘vinewww’.
After downloading the images, he ran the docker image vinewww with an interactive shell, which helped him retrieve the full source code.“I was able to see the entire source code of vine, its API keys and third party keys and secrets. Even running the image without any parameter, was letting me host a replica of VINE locally,” he said in his personal blog.

Namrata’s Role Behind Mahesh-Koratala Film
After scoring a huge blockbuster with Srimanthudu last year, Mahesh Babu and Koratala Siva will be teaming up once again after they wrap up their immediate projects. This crazy combo is expected to begin their film early next year.Initially, the Mahesh-Koratala project was never in the pipeline as Koratala was supposed to direct Ram Charan in DVV Danayya’s production, while Mahesh was supposed to join hands with Puri Jagannadh for Jana Gana Mana after Murugadoss’ film.
With Ram Charan deciding to go ahead with Sukumar for his next, Koratala was left with no star hero. Then came Mahesh’s wife Namrata into the picture. This former heroine, with her shrewd intelligence, is said to have turned tables overnight and ensured that Koratala would direct Mahesh as his immediate project.
Namrata thought it would be better if Mahesh teams up with a commercially better director like Koratala than the unreliable Puri Jagannadh. She planned her moves tactically and made sure that Mahesh’s next project would be for DVV Danayya, the same producer who was supposed to produce Koratala’s immediate next. That’s some strategy indeed!
Their Fight May Help TDP!
As major political drama is unfolding in Rajya Sabha over Special Category Status to the successor state of Andhra Pradesh and likely to spread to Lok Sabha as MPs like Rammohan Naidu taking up the issue, the whole politics surrounding Special Category Status is with national political parties BJP and Congress are trying for one-upmanship on the issue, regional political parties like TDP and YSRCP have mostly turned into spectators.
While Congress is trying to compensate for what it had done to AP by raking up the issue, BJP is seeing to it that Congress won’t gain anything out of the issue and thus delaying the private bill to its best.With national political parties indulging in mud-slinging on one another, the whole episode may turn helpful for TDP which is in power. Political pundits feel that Chanakya Chandrababu Naidu may turn the issue into his favour. As YSRCP is already out, the only left is TDP which may gain from the issue.
BJP has little strength in AP and the chances of the party strengthening in the new state looks bleak. Congress is almost zero in AP given its unilateral division of the state and the party’s revival in the state may not be possible in the near sight. Let’s wait and see who will gain out of the politics surrounding Special Category Status.
