Mobile app collusions threats on the rise: report
A recent report released by Intel Security explained the intricacies related to mobile app collusion and indicated the presence of more than 5,000 versions of 21 consumer mobile apps containing colluding codes of malicious nature.According to Intel’s McAfee Labs Threat report for the month of June, mobile app collusion threats that manipulate two or more apps to orchestrate attacks on smartphone owners are rising at an alarming pace.
As mentioned earlier, McAfee Labs has precisely observed such behaviour across more than 5,056 versions of 21 apps designed to provide useful user services such as mobile video streaming, health monitoring, and travel planning.Explaining the main reason for these collusions, the report said the “failure of users to regularly implement essential software updates to these mobile apps”.
While it was considered as a theoretical threat for many years, colluding mobile apps have the capability to carry threatening malicious activities “together by leveraging interapp communication capabilities common to mobile operating systems.“These operating systems incorporate many techniques to isolate apps in sandboxes, restrict their capabilities, and control which permissions they have at a fairly granular level,” said the research report.McAfee Labs has identified three types of threats that can result from mobile app collusion—Information theft, Financial theft, and Service misuse.
Mobile app collusion requires at least one app with permission to access the restricted information or service, one app without that permission but with access outside the device, and the capability to communicate with each other.Either app could be collaborating on purpose or unintentionally due to accidental data leakage or inclusion of a malicious library or software development kit. Such apps may use a shared space (files readable by all) to exchange information about granted privileges and to determine which one is optimally positioned to serve as an entry point for remote commands.
“Improved detection drives greater efforts at deception,” said Vincent Weafer, vice president of Intel Security’s McAfee Labs group. “It should not come as a surprise that adversaries have responded to mobile security efforts with new threats that attempt to hide in plain sight. Our goal is to make it increasingly harder for malicious apps to gain a foothold on our personal devices, developing smarter tools and techniques to detect colluding mobile apps.”
The report suggests a variety of user approaches to minimize mobile app collusion, including downloading mobile apps only from trusted sources, avoiding apps with embedded advertising, not “jailbreaking” mobile devices, and most importantly, always keeping operating system and app software up-to-date.

Boyapati to mend differences with ace musician!
A loose talk by Boyapati Srinu during Legend Success meet forced differences between the director and music director Devi Sri Prasad. Boyapati did not have him on board for his next, Sarainodu and got Thaman in his place. But for his next project with Bellamkonda Srinivas, Boyapati is bringing back DSP.
Both of them reportedly resolved the issues. The Boyapati-DSP combo earlier gave three smashing musical hits in the form of Bhadra, Tulasi and Legend. The regular shooting of the film will begin next month. Rumours are rife that Victory Venkatesh will be making a little cameo in the film.
Both Boyapati Srinu and Devi Sri Prasad are at the peaks of their careers. Bellamkonda Srinivas’ last film, Speedunnodu is a big disaster at the box office. Krish’s Master Plan for Balayya’s Show!
Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Prestigious 100th film, Gautamiputra Satakarani is being planned for Sankranthi 2017 release. Balakrishna has an amazing track record of delivering maximum number of blockbusters for Sankranthi and so the makers are keen to release the film for Sankranthi at any cost.
The movie had completed two schedules in Morocco and Hyderabad and will very soon begin the third schedule. Krish is completing the portions with VFX effects first so that VFX Companies will get to work for enough time on those portions. Shriya Saran is pairing up with Nandamuri Balakrishna in this film.
Mokshagna will play an Assistant director to Krish for the movie. This is to ensure that he has a good understanding of all the crafts in film making by the time of his filmy debut. The recently released First Look Poster increased the expexations and hype on the project. Devi Sri Prasad is composing music for this film. This is his second time for Balayya after Legend.
‘I sacrificed CM post for Telangana’
Stunned over the spate of his party leaders joining TRS, Telangana Congress’ senior leader K Jana Reddy said he was offered CM post during the intensified Telangana movement before the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh and that he had denied the coveted post for the cause of Telangana.
“AICC President Sonia Gandhi insisted that I take over the party’s reigns when the leadership crisis erupted in Congress. However, he did not accept the offer in the interest of Telangana and its people who aspired for a separate Telangana.
“It was unfortunate that the Congress leaders were leaving the party which had fulfilled the dreams of the people by awarding Telangana state before the 2014 general elections,” said Jana Reddy.

Though, none of the films are notable, they can damage Nani’s film if it gets negative response.
Also, ‘A Aa’ is running successfully with packed crowds and this may be the main threat to ‘Gentleman’. Hope Nani’s ‘Gentleman’ emerges out as winner in this race and become 4th success in a row for Nani.
Senior Actor’s Family In Financial Troubles?

Kantha Rao passed away in 2009 and none from his family were into films to continue his legacy. The latest we hear is that his family is facing severe financial problems and is expecting help through donations and MAA. Actor Narasimha Rao is trying to get some help to Kantha Rao’s family with appeals for donations and he also brought this to the notice of Movie Artists Association.
Kantha Rao is heard to have earned good and invested in better places, but it is family lost all that and found themselves in terrible situation at this moment. Lets see if MAA wants to provide some pension for their living.
Small time Character artist to Pawan Kalyan villain
Ajay played a little role in Pawan Kalyan’s blockbuster film, Kushi. In that unnamed role, Pawan Kalyan beats Ajay. More than a decade later, Ajay is becoming Villain in the actor’s next which is also directed by SJ Suryah. Recently, Ajay impressed every one with his excellent portrayal as villain in Suriya’s 24.
The Regular shooting of the film will begin very soon. Until now we have heard that Husharu is being considered as the film title. But new rumours suggest that they are considering Senapathi as the title. And a caption ‘Nammitha Pranalaina Isthadu’ is also in the rumour mills. S.J Suryah along with writer Akula Siva have been working on the story since the last 5 months.
Earlier the makers have informed that Shruti Haasan is confirmed as the female lead in the film. But now sources say she is not confirmed and the makers are in hunt for the heroine. They say they are in talks with Rakul Preet Singh to romance the actor. Anoop Rubens is the music composer.
Kalyan Ram to chase on Spain Streets
Nandamuri Kalyanram’s next under the direction of Puri Jagannadh is progressing at brisk pace in Hyderabad. The team will head to Spain and a new schedule of the film will begin there from July 1st. The schedule there will go on there till 31st. The team will be canning a chase and an action sequence on Kalyan Ram and Jagapathi Babu there.
Miss India 2015 Aditi Arya is playing the female lead in the film and it marks her filmy debut. The movie is said to be a mass entertainment with a social message. An interesting rumour about the film is doing rounds that Kalyan Ram’s son, Shourya Ram will be making his filmy debut with a little role in the film. Sources also say that the movie is titled ‘Remix’. However there is no official confirmation about the title. The shooting will go non-stop till completion.
Puri himself penned the story, screenplay and dialogues for the film. Kalyanram himself will be producing the film on his own banner, NTR Arts banner. There are also rumours that Kalyanram will be seen as a journalist in the film. The actor is reportedly dolling out a whopping 30 Crore for the film, which is the highest budget for any film of him.
Janatha Garage Audio Release date?
Young Tiger NTR is shooting non-stop for his Janatha Garage to ensure August 12th release.The makers are planning to complete the entire shoot by August 1st. Post Production works are also being completed simultaneously to ensure August 12th release. The first look teaser of the film will be released in the third week of this month.
According to the reliable sources, the team is looking to release the audio of the film on 23rd July. The audio launch event is likely to happen in Hyderabad itself. The official announcement of the event will come after the release of the First Look Teaser. The recently released first look posters have set the expectations soaring.
The release date works in the movie’s favour as there is a long weekend holiday due to Independence day holiday on Monday and one more holiday in the first week itself for Raksha Bandhan. Devi Sri Prasad is the music composer. Samantha and Nithya Menen are the heroines. Koratala Siva is wielding megaphone for this commercial entertainer.
