There was a big buzz in Bollywood when this rumour came out. Sunny Deol was stated to have roped in none other than Baahubali director SS Rajamouli for his next film.The movie titled Mera Bharat Mahaan is one of Sunny Deol’s upcoming flicks. The story is reportedly being written by Vijayendra Prasad, director SS Rajamouli’s father. Vijayendra Prasad has been in great demand after the massive success of Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan and SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali.Sunny Deol, who is looking to deliver a massive hit, has roped in Vijayendra Prasad to pen the story for Mera Bharat Mahaan.

Then news spread that SS Rajamouli might come in to direct the film as well.However, director Rajamouli’s spokesperson told dna that SS Rajamouli is tied up till April 2017 with Baahubali part 2. “He absolutely doesn’t have time for anything else at this point of time. He will decide on his next project only post April next year,” clarified the spokesperson. So the Baahubali director will not be directing this film.

Fans are likely to be disappointed with this news but then there is a positive side. One of the things that SS Rajamouli and his family members in the film world do is get together to discuss scripts any one of them is working on. They reportedly brainstorm together and this helps them deliver good content. This could be one of the reasons why there are stories doing the rounds that SS Rajamouli is the creative director of the Sunny Deol project.

The project is likely to have inputs from several members of the director’s family. So in a way, Sunny Deol has got the whole family involved creatively in this film.Given Vijayendra Prasad’s track record, Mera Bharat Mahaan will have a strong storyline and script. Sunny Deol is all set to dazzle the audience in this action-packed thriller for sure.

It is said that the makers are in talks with Miss India 2015 Aditi Arya to play the female lead in the film. We are said that she is almost confirmed but yet to sign the dotted line. Puri already finished the script work of the film and the pre-production works are already on. Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Brahmotsavam is currently being canned in Pune. The schedule there will go on till 22nd of this month and then the team will return to Ramoji Film City for the shooting of the last song. With that song, the entire shoot of the film except for some patchwork will be complete.

The audio launch event will happen on May 1st in Tirupati. The movie is being planned for May release. Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu fame Srikanth Addala is wielding megaphone for this film.

The pre-release business of the movie is creating new records. Zee Telugu recently bagged the satellite rights of the film and a sensational offer of 13 Crore was put forth for the movie’s Overseas rights, this is an all time record in Telugu film industry.

It is said that she is confirmed for the film and will be seen as Balayya’s mother in the movie. This film marks Hema Malini’s Telugu debut.
