Skirt War gets Skimpier In IT City
This Bangalore college is sure an eye-feast for everyone. One of the girl students came to the college in shorts. A sagely professor found fault with it and asked her to come well-dressed. The girl took offense and was joined by other girls. The next day, all the girls attended classes wearing shorts.
Their argument was that the professor cannot dictate what to wear and how to dress for the college. But the professor is a gutsy person. The professor was not the one to be cowed down.
She said she was ready for any probe and stood her ground. Now, its a showdown between devil-may-care students and damn-you kind of teacher. Both are firm on their standpoint.
Now the IT city’s eyes are fixated on this college as to where this skirt war leads to. One only hopes that the showdown doesn’t get any worse and the girls’ protest gets skimpier.
Pawan’s Fan Murdered At Sardaar’s Theater
In a shocking incident, a diehard fan of Power Star Pawan Kalyan named Rakesh Naik was brutally murdered by unidentified men in Pavagada in Karnataka this morning at Alakankar theater which is playing Sardaar Gabbar Singh.
The assailants, following a heated altercation with Rakesh, slit his throat with knife, leaving him bleed to his death on the spot. According to the reports, Rakesh, a 2nd year Bachelor’s student, got into a heated argument with another person while watching Sardaar Gabbar Singh.
The verbal spat soon took am ugly turn as his killer attacked him with knives in the theater premises. The murderer is still at large and the police are investigating the matter.
Meanwhile, Rakesh’s college mates and relatives resorted to violence and a 144 section has been invoked in the area to calm the situation.
Australia – Hyderabad 23,000 Crores Scam Link Exposed
It is tough to make a link with an arrest made by Police on May 13, 2014 with respect to termination of Rs.23,000 Crore mining contract. The person who was arrested in Hyderabad was Raman Srikanth who was the chief executive of Thiess Minecs India, a subsidiary of Australia’s Leighton Holdings.
He bagged this prized contract from NTPC three years prior to termination. The arrest was based on a complaint by Roshini Developers. They alleged that they were cheated and they were promised to get a sub-contract of this huge mining project.
Roshini Developers have sent Rs.185 Crores on this project that they would get a sub-contract. Local Police inspector said to media this information when the arrest was made. he criminal complaints and arrests had resulted in an out-of-court settlement between the two.
Now adding twist to the tale, Australian media has reported that Indian Agent of this Australian company has bribed Indian officials to secure the contract. As per law giving bribe is illegal. The Indian agent name was mentioned as Shyam Prasad Reddy.
Nannagaru Sent Krish To Me – Balakrishna
Finally, the long wait of Nandamuri fans has come to a glittering end on Telugu new year. This morning, Balakrishna’s much in news 100th film was launched in Amaravati. Balayya first offered his floral tributes to Gautamiputra Satakarni’s statue, before gracing his film’s inaugural event.
Balayya said Gautamiputra Satakarni is a God’s gift to him and that his father late NT Ramarao, whom he considers his god, has compelled the god to send Krish to him with the story of Gautamiputra Satakarni.
Balayya also said that the 100th is a fruit of goods hardwork that spanned across 99 films for the last 4 decades.
Gautamiputra Satakarni will be directed by Krish and Krish’s friend and longtime collaborator Rajeev Reddy will produce it with a staggering budget of nearly 50 crores. The film’s shooting will kickstart from April last week and released by next Sankranthi.
Sardaar Is Second Biggest Opener, But…
Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s Sardaar Gabbar Singh has collected a gross of $606K through premiere shows in USA. This is second biggest opener in USA after SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus film Baahubali that raked $1395K from the premiere shows in the territory.
Sardaar has become the highest grosser for Pawan Kalyan. His previous best was Attarintiki Daredi which had collected $345K at the USA box office in the preview shows. Sardaar has shattered superstar Mahesh Babu’s Srimanthudu premiere show gross to take second place from the premieres in the country.
The Koratala Siva directorial minted $560K from the US premiere shows. Though the ticket price was increased to $25 in some locations, Sardaar registered good amount of bookings and the film ran to packed houses in several centers in the premiere shows.
Nonetheless, trade analysts predict that, Sardaar will have great run at USA box office only till the weekend and the collections would slow down from Monday, as a result of poor reviews and negative mouth talk.
Sardaar Princess Lost Her Charm!
Ever since Pawan Kalyan’s Sardaar Gabbar Singh opened in cinemas, one thing that caught Kajal’s fans off-guard is her looks in the film. Unlike in her epic Magadheera seven years ago, Kajal doesn’t have that charm today while essaying Arshi, the royal princess in Sardaar.
Critics lamented that Blame it on her lean, slender figure, in many portions her age was conspicuous. Though the romantic scenes between Pawan and Kajal were refreshing, her elderly look took away that.
Had the makers zeroed in on a happening Bollywood heroine like Deepika Padukone for the role, the film would had have better prospects in Hindi and Telugu as well.
Albeit, it’s too early to judge at the moment. Now fans are going through anxious moments whether Pawan would pull it off or not. Let’s wait and see.
Tirupathi Naidu Re-entry; Tension for Babu?
The announcement of senior actor-producer and former Rajya Sabha MP M Mohan Babu that he that he would be staging a comeback into politics is no surprise. Mohan Babu had been speaking about this for quite some time!
He revealed this to the media at his school campus near Tirupati where he also added that he would be soon disclosing the details of hispolitical re-entry. He would be joining one of the existing political parties!
There are many who feel that it is more or less confirmed that MohanBabu would join the YSR Congress party due to close family relations.He was earlier considered close to AP Chief Minister ChandrababuNaidu, but he may not be joining the Telugu Desam Party.
Recently YSR Congress party president Jaganmohan Reddy had a meeting with Mohan Babu where he requested him to strengthen the party by joining it. Mohan Babu has some clout in Eastern part of Chittoor district and being a Kamma, the same caste as Chandrababu, AP CM is worried about some political realignment if Mohan Babu joins Jagan!
