New Delhi: Urban development minister M Venkaiah Naidu had a lively interaction with journalists at Indian Women’s Press Corps on Tuesday.
Venkaiah Naidu, known for his wisecracks, surprised everyone with a meticulous preparation for the interaction.
Apart from fielding questions ranging from nationalism to GST, Naidu came armed with diverse statistics to counter Congress’ numerous charges.
He even doled out data on President’s rule recommended by each Congress prime minister.

Wonder who will fall prey to RGV’s mediocrity next.
Temperatures are soaring in both the Telugu States as heat wave like conditions are prevailing. King Nagarjuna has to begin the shooting of his devotional film from next month. In order to combat, the makers have chosen to start the shoot in Chikamagalur where the temperatures will be low even in May and June.
The team is currently scouting locations in Kerala and Karnataka. Keeravani already finished recording of two songs for the film. We know that Keeravani previously scored sensational music for Annamayya, Sri Ramadasu and Shirdi Sai. K Bharavi penned the story after necessary research.
A.Mahesh Reddy who produced Nagarjuna’s Shirdi Sai will also produce this film under his AMR Sai Krupa Entertainments banner. The film is the story of the Lord and his devotee, Hathiram Baba and is titled Om Namo Venkatesa in the direction of Raghavendra Rao. Nagarjuna will sport leaner look for the character in this film.
The Telugu Desam Party which has been very much losing ground in Telangana, is reportedly shifting its base to Guntur from the city of Hyderabad. The main party office is now being set up in a new building in Guntur which will be inaugurated on Ugadi i.e. April 8.
Currently the main party office of TDP is NTR Trust Bhavan in Hyderabad. Although this is being shifted to Guntur, the party leaders feel the move is in tune with chief minister Chandrababu Naidu’s plans to shift the Secretariat and the Legislative Assembly buildings to Vijayawada this year.
Many feel that it is indeed desirable to have the party office located close to the state capital. Even though the Guntur party office will be its main party office, TDP leaders say that Hyderabad office will continue to be treated as its main base as the party’s national president Chandrababu Naidu will continue to have an office chamber at the NTR Trust Bhavan.
The inauguration of this new office building is tentatively scheduled for Ugadi and the programme schedule will only be finalised after the party general secretary Nara Lokesh will be returning from his foreign trip. Lokesh will arrive in Vijayawada on Tuesday and take a final call.
If grapevine is anything to go by, Jr NTR would be the face of new political outfit that’s likely to emerge in the truncated state of Andhra Pradesh. Buzz is that NTR’s dearest friend-Gudivada MLA Kodali Nani and Jr NTR’s father-ex Rajya Sabha MP Nandamuri Hari Krishna are toying with the idea of floating new political party. What’s more? Already Nani and Harikrishna have chalked out a plan for the same and even consulted several senior politicians seeking their advise on how to take it forward.
While few openly advised Harikrishna to drop plans as it isn’t easy to run a political party and survive, others suggested him to do good groundwork before starting it. In fact, this is not something new for Harikrishna as he has set up a political party Anna Telugu Desam way back in 1999. The party contested in general elections then saw colossal result as it failed to win a single Assembly seat or Parliament seat. Subsequently, Harikrishna merged the party into TDP and even became politburo member of the party and nominated to Rajya Sabha. Considering the past experience, Harikrishna now is making wise moves.
Going by reports, Nani and Harikrishna want to join as many as senior leaders from TDP and people who have already left YSR Congress. The move is to take on the ruling TDP. It’s well-known by now that Harikrishna and Jr NTR are not happy with TDP. Harikrishna is of the opinion that ‘injustice’ was meted out to him and his son Jr NTR in the TDP after campaigning for the party in 2009 elections. Unable to digest the reigns being handed over to Nara Lokesh, Harikrishna, who wants his son Tarak to lead TDP, started distancing from the party.
Since NTR is presently busy with films, Nani and Harikrishna want him to join later and in between, the duo is expected to make all necessary arrangements to launch the party. Nani is most trusted aid of Jr NTR and Jr NTR himself made it very clear many times. The recent public appearance of Nani with Harikrishna and Nani’s statement that Harikrishna was his ‘Political Guru’ indicate that something is really brewing. What’s more? And this is reportedly backed by YS Jagan to counter Naidu by weakening TDP with family feuds. Jagan wants to pit Jr NTR against Nara Lokesh and Nani, Harikrishna against Chandrababu Naidu so that he’d get political mileage in 2019 elections.
However, at the moment this is the just speculation doing the rounds. Whether it becomes reality or not has to be seen. If all goes well per the plan, AP would see a new political party before 2019 elections.

If the reports from the Congress camp in New Delhi are to be believed, popular political strategist Prashant Kishore, who was the right-hand of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in designing his poll campaign in 2014, will take up the responsibility of reviving the Telangana Congress party and strengthening it to take on the Telangana Rashtra Samithi in 2019 elections.
According to party sources, the Congress high command has asked 40-year old Kishor to breathe new life into the party in Telangana, so as to make it strong by 2019.
He will tour extensively in all parts of Telangana to identify right candidates for the Congress, study the programmes being implemented by the TRS government, identify the issues that could be championed by the Congress in the next elections and finalise its campaign strategy.
Sources said he is learnt to have asked the party to provide a contingent of 3,000 strong and young Congress workers who would help him study the ground situation.
Kishor was the brain behind Modi’s success in 2014 and designed several innovative slogans for him. However, after 2014, he took up the task of bringing the Nitish Kumar government back into power in Bihar and launched a counter-strategy to take on BJP.
At present, he has been entrusted with the Congress campaign in the Uttar Pradesh elections to be held in early 2017. Later, he will focus on Telangana Congress, say sources.

The distributor has already locked about 192 locations in USA and Canada. Hence the movie can easily get one million dollar openings on day one inclusive of premiere’s amount.

The team behind the marketing of “Sardaar Gabbar Singh” is hoping to break the records of Mahesh Babu’s “Srimanthudu” and emerge as the second biggest hit in USA among Telugu movies.
