Nandamuri Balakrishna is often known for his Mass Masala Entertainers. These films always have limited reach in Overseas for reasons best known to all of us. However Krish’s name to his Prestigious 100th film, generated good curiosity on the film even in Overseas. Even before the project is announced, the movie has got an interesting offer.

According to reliable sources, a bumper offer of 2.75 Crores was put forth for the film’s US rights of this movie. This is a superb figure for Balakrishna, whose overseas market is very limited. However the makers are sitting on it as they want to open the movie business in the second half of the year.

The movie will have the launch oin Amaravati, the upcoming capital of AP, on April 8th as Ugadi Special. This is the first star hero movie launch in Amaravati. Balakrishna’s earlier film, Dictator is also the first film to have its audio launch in Amaravati. Balakrishna already started growing a beard and will undergo look test very soon.

King Nagarjuna and Tamil Actor Karthi’s Oopiri had a superb outing in its first week. The movie had registered some very good numbers for its genre, thanks to the sensational positive talk and reviews it received from Day-1 itself. However the collections dipped a bit in the B,C centers in the last couple of days.

The run in the second weekend should give us an idea how the movie is going to do further. Given that there are no notable releases until the release of Sardaar Gabbar Singh on April 8th, the movie’s fantastic run at the box office at least in the A centers should be good.

Tamannah, the hottest glamour diva, has hiked her remuneration one more time. Post “Baahubali’, she has increased her pay as the movie went on to become one of the biggest hits of all time in India.

And the producers happily agreed to pay her since she is commanding good draw in all languages.

Post ‘Oopiri’ too, Tamannah has started asking more money, said a producer who approached her recently for a movie.

In “Oopiri”, she doesn’t have any substantial role, nor she won any great praise. But she reportedly believes that her new popularity would help the producers to sell the movie for good price.

With row of hits she has in her kitty and her inclination to do more skinshow, she is in demand.

Make hay while sun shines! She must be applying this.

The French movie ‘The Intouchables’ was remade in Telugu as ‘Oopiri’ and was a massive success.

The Intouchables is the second biggest hit ever in French cinema history. Francois Cluzet played the role of a paraplegic that was reprised by Nagarjuna in Telugu and Tamil.

Apparently, French television channels are now agog with the news that their movie has been remade in two regional languages of India with spectacular success.

They are now comparing the performance of Nagarjuna with that of Francois Cluzet. Not bad news for our industry, is it?

The good part of the movie is that the makers bought the rights officially from the French makers. Otherwise, they would have been badly embarrassed and neither would they have got this publicity.
