When the whole World is heaping praises on SS Rajamouli & Team Baahubali for matching up to the Hollywood standards, One Individual feels the epic action drama is good for nothing and doesn’t deserve a National honour at all.

Punjabi filmmaker Gurvinder Singh ridiculed the National Awards Jury for picking up ‘Baahubali – The Beginning’ as the Best Film. ‘Baahubali is total crap and probably the worst film ever to receive a National Award… That too in the Best Film category. Its just a BJP Award, not a National Award. All the major awards have been bagged by commercial films and art films have been neglected completely. Not just me, Everyone isn’t happy with the choices,’ conveys the Director.

‘Baahubali’ is the only Regional Film to have bagged a National Award in major categories, Whereas rest of them have gone to Bollywood. Still, Mr. Singh feels the Rajamouli’s directorial shouldn’t have got the honour. At the same time, He complains Regional Cinema didn’t receive due recognition in the 63rd National Awards presentation.

Hopefully, The Filmmaker realizes one day that making a commercial film, acceptable to majority of the movie buffs, is much tougher than an art film appreciated by critics. Notably, Gurvinder Singh’s feature film ‘Chauthi Koot’ bagged National Award for Best Punjabi Film.

Looks like milky beauty Tamannaah is becoming the poster girl for multicrore budget movies. Already, Tamannaah is part of the country’s second most expensive film, Baahubali. Recently, her latest film Oopiri, which was made with a budget of nearly 50 crores, was released.

And now, Tamannaah’s upcoming film will feature a whopping budget of nearly 70 crores. Yesterday, Tamannaah released the title logo of her forthcoming film, Abhinethri. This film is being made in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi and the makers are pulling out all stops to make it a grand venture.

Abhinethri is a thriller, which also stars Prabhu Deva and Sonu Sood in prominent roles. Prabhu Deva is making his comeback in Tamil after 12 years. This film is being directed by Amala Paul’s husband AL Vijay of Madras Pattanan and Vikram’s Nanna fame. Writer Kona Venkat is presenting the film in Telugu

As per the buzz in Filmnagar, Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Prestigious 100th film, Yodhudu will have Bollywood Dream Girl, Hema Malini playing the role of Rajamatha. She will be seen as Balakrishna’s mother in the film. She was last seen in a straight Telugu film in Pandava Vanavasam, way back in 1965.

The movie will have the launch of his prestigious 100th film in the direction of Krish in Amaravati, the upcoming capital of AP. The launch event will happen on April 8th as Ugadi Special. This is the first star hero movie launch in Amaravati. Balakrishna’s earlier film, Dictator is also the first film to have its audio launch in Amaravati.

Balakrishna already started growing a beard and will undergo look test very soon. The actor is also undergo training in horse riding at Hyderabad Polo and Riding Club, Gandipet. The actor already tried horse riding in some films. But since the film is a period film, he wants to become an expert in horse riding.

The last minute post production works are happening at brisk pace. The makers will very soon intensify their promotions. Pawan Kalyan is adamant on making sure the movie release on April 8th as Ugadi Special. There is a long weekend holiday due to Ugadi holiday on Friday and so it will work to a large extent for the film.

Kajal Aggarwal is pairing up with Pawan Kalyan for the first time in this film. Kajal will also be dubbing herself for her role in the movie. This is the first time, the actress is dubbing for her role in any film industry. The Hindi version of the film will also see light on the same day as the Telugu version.

Is Supreme Hero Sai Dharam Tej is all set to disappoint Mega fans twice with his next film, Supreme? Probably, Yes. Earlier the makers have planned the movie release for April 1st but could not do that. Now the indications are on that the movie is being planned for May 6th release as Summer Special.

Even that may not be possible now as Brahmotsavam is also planning the release on the same day. Unless, Brahmotsavam postpones, Supreme will be delayed further. The movie is sold out completely even before the shooting is complete. Abhishek Picture purchased the negative rights of the film for a fancy amount. Rashi Khanna is the heroine in the film and she plays a cop in the film.

The recently released teaser increased the expectations on the movie. The movie comes with a caption, ‘Don’t Sound Horn’ and will see Sai Dharam Tej playing the role of a cab driver. Pataas fame Anil Ravipudi is directing this film. Dil Raju is producing the film on his Sri Venkateswara Creations Banner. Sai Karthik is composing music for the film.

Five months after his collossal flop with Bruce Lee, Mega Power Star Ram Charan is going to be back to some serious business. The actor will start non-stop shoot of his next, Thani Oruvan remake from the next schedule at Annapurna 7 acres studio on April 7th.

The team already completed two schedules with out the actor. One in Hyderabad and the other in Bangkok. The shooting will go non-stop till completion and the movie is being planned for second half of the year release.

Rakul Preet Singh and Ram Charan appeared together in Srinu Vaitla’s Bruce Lee which ended as a big disaster. Race Gurram Surender Reddy is wielding megaphone for the movie to be produced by Allu Aravind. Dhruva is the working title of the film.

Arvind Swami, who surprised everyone with his menacing performance in the original, will reprise his role in the remake as well. Ram Charan will be seen as Powerful Police officer in the film. This is his second time in Khaki after Thoofan.
