Sobhita Absence Sparks Fresh Buzz Around Chaitanya

Share

Usually, Naga Chaitanya is seen attending major Tollywood events alongside his wife Sobhita Dhulipala. Ever since their marriage, the couple has made joint appearances at several prominent industry gatherings.

However, at two recent high-profile events, Sobhita’s absence caught everyone’s attention and has since become a talking point. The pre-wedding celebrations of Allu Sirish were held on a grand scale, with several Tollywood celebrities in attendance. Members of the Akkineni family reportedly arrived together, but Sobhita was not seen at the venue. Chaitanya went on stage alone to convey his wishes to Sirish and Nayanika.

A similar situation unfolded later at the wedding reception hosted for the industry by Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna. Once again, while Akkineni family members were present, Sobhita did not attend. Chaitanya greeted the couple and left shortly after.

At a time when actors like Rana Daggubati, Ram Charan and Nani are often seen attending events with their spouses, Chaitanya’s solo appearances have fueled fresh speculation.

Earlier, rumours had circulated about Sobhita’s pregnancy after some media outlets speculated about a visible baby bump during one of her saree appearances. However, those reports were later dismissed as baseless. Sources close to her have strongly denied the pregnancy rumours, clarifying that she is not expecting and has even signed a few new film projects recently.

For now, speculation continues in industry circles. Many believe the gossip will subside only when Sobhita makes her next public appearance. Until then, discussions around the Akkineni family’s daughter-in-law are unlikely to fade.

Nagabandham First Single “Namo Re” on March 15

Share

The makers of Nagabandham have officially announced that the film’s first single, “Namo Re,” will be released on March 15. The much-anticipated pan-India project is directed by Abhishek Nama and features Virat Karrna in the lead role, alongside Nabha Natesh and Iswarya Menon as the female leads.

The song is composed by Junaid Kumar and Abhe, with choreography by renowned dance master Ganesh Acharya along with Shrasti Verma. Featuring nearly 1,000 dancers from across the country, “Namo Re” is being mounted on a massive scale and is expected to be a visual spectacle.

Rendered by Sindhuja Srinivasan and Aishwarya Daruri, the track reportedly carries a strong devotional tone. The recently unveiled poster reflects this spiritual theme, showcasing the two heroines in striking traditional attire inspired by Naga deities.

The song has been shot on an elaborate temple set modeled after the iconic Padmanabhaswamy Temple, promising rich visuals and grandeur. Reports suggest that the makers have invested heavily in this single track alone, offering audiences a glimpse of the film’s scale and ambition.

Backed by NIK Studios and Abhishek Pictures, Nagabandham has already generated considerable buzz with its first glimpse. With excitement steadily building, the film is gearing up for a grand summer release.

Samantha, Chaitanya Spouses Skip Star Receptions

Share

Though not originally from a Telugu background, Samantha Ruth Prabhu has grown immensely close to Telugu audiences across both states through her long and successful career in Tollywood. Over the years, many fans have embraced her as one among their own. Her recent marriage to Raj Nidimoru has further strengthened that connection, with many affectionately referring to her as a Telugu daughter-in-law.

Samantha shares cordial relationships within the industry and is known to be professionally close to Vijay Deverakonda. She also maintains a good rapport with the family of Allu Arjun. Given her long innings in Telugu cinema, many felt it was natural for her to attend major industry celebrations such as the reception of Allu Sirish and Nayanika, as well as the wedding festivities associated with Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika.

However, fans noticed that her husband Raj Nidimoru was not seen at either event, which sparked mild curiosity on social media.

Interestingly, Naga Chaitanya was spotted at both Allu Sirish’s reception and Vijay Deverakonda’s reception. However, his wife Sobhita Dhulipala was not in attendance, and her absence too has become a talking point among fans.

While such discussions continue online, it is common for celebrities to manage personal and professional commitments separately. Until any clarification emerges, speculation is likely to remain part of the conversation in film circles.

DSP Career Shift Sparks Industry Buzz

Share

Music director Devi Sri Prasad appears to be gradually steering his career in a new direction with some of his recent choices. The composer recently surprised many by stepping into a lead acting role in the upcoming film Yellamma, a move that has sparked both curiosity and debate within the industry.

While the decision has generated interest, it has also led to speculation about whether his focus is slowly shifting from full-fledged music composition to acting. Crafting chart-topping songs is one aspect of filmmaking, but delivering an impactful background score demands extensive time, patience, and deep creative involvement throughout the production process.

Industry observers feel that DSP seems less inclined toward that demanding side of music composition in recent times. This perception has gained traction following certain developments. He was reportedly sidelined from handling the background score of Pushpa 2: The Rule, and now the background score responsibilities for Ustaad Bhagat Singh have reportedly been assigned to S. Thaman. In both cases, DSP is said to have composed only the songs.

These developments have triggered discussions in film circles, with some suggesting that DSP may be entering a transitional phase in his career. However, whether this marks a strategic reinvention or a gradual shift away from being a leading music composer remains to be seen.

Peddi Release Tension Over Dhurandhar 2 Shift

Share

The makers of Peddi recently released the second single, “Rai Rai Raa Raa,” which has clocked impressive views and record impressions across platforms. The song further strengthened the film’s buzz, especially after the viral success of the earlier track “Chikiri Chikiri.” With back-to-back musical hits, industry circles were confident that Peddi would arrive in theatres on April 30, with premiere shows reportedly planned for April 29. The team is said to be moving ahead as per this schedule.

However, fresh reports from Bollywood media have added a new twist. If Dhurandhar 2 shifts from its currently planned March 19 release date, the film may target the last week of April instead. This potential move is said to be creating uncertainty for the makers of Peddi, as a box office clash could impact both films.

At present, the producers of Peddi are reportedly waiting for an official announcement from the team of Dhurandhar 2 to gain clarity on the situation. Until a formal confirmation is made, speculation and industry buzz are expected to continue dominating discussions in trade circles.

Ustaad Bhagat Singh Preponed to March 19

Share

Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh is now reportedly slated for a March 19 release, a week earlier than its original March 26 date, to take advantage of the long holiday weekend.

The shift comes after Yash’s Toxic postponed its March 19 release to June 4, opening up the calendar. However, the new date sets up a direct clash with the highly anticipated Dhurandhar 2 sequel, creating a buzzworthy box office showdown.

In addition, the film has seen a last-minute change in its music team, with Thaman brought in to handle the background score, replacing Devi Sri Prasad.

This move is aimed at speeding up post-production and finalizing the film ahead of the revised release. If everything goes as planned, Ustaad Bhagat Singh could become one of the most talked-about box office clashes of the season, though the makers are yet to make an official announcement.

Vishnu Vinyasam Review: Partly Entertaining Romantic Comedy

Share

Since 2023, Sree Vishnu has proven himself as a dependable lead with three commercial hits and one critically acclaimed film. His latest venture, a romantic comedy directed by debutant Yadunaath Maruthi Rao, pairs him with Nayana Sarika (known for AAY), while Radhan provides the musical backdrop. After teasers and trailers created curiosity, the film finally hit theatres. The question remains: does it live up to expectations?

Story in Brief

Vishnu (Sree Vishnu) is a junior lecturer, and Manisha (Nayana Sarika) is the head of the department. Her quirky, eccentric personality captures Vishnu’s attention, and they fall in love. Just as marriage seems near, Manisha reveals a flaw in her jathakam (astrological chart), raising doubts about her future. Vishnu initially hesitates, creating conflict. The rest of the story explores whether the couple can overcome these challenges and unite.

Performances

  • Sree Vishnu: Delivers several fun moments with his comic timing, though he occasionally overdoes it and appears monotonous in some scenes.
  • Nayana Sarika: Confident and appealing, she gives a strong performance.
  • Satya: Provides laughs and complements Vishnu well, though his role is limited.
  • Srikanth Iyyengar: Over-the-top, rushed, and feels artificial.
  • Srinivasa Reddy: Reminds audiences of Mallikarjuna Rao’s Venky role. Adequate performance but dubbing seems off.
  • Supporting Cast: Brahmaji, Praveen, Murali Sharma, Satyam Rajesh, Goparaju Ramana deliver serviceable performances, but none leave a lasting mark.

Technical Highlights

  • Cinematography (Sai Sriram): Vibrant and colorful, giving the film a visually pleasing look.
  • Music (Radhan): Underwhelming; none of the songs stand out, and the background score is average.
  • Editing (Karthikeyan Rohini): Tight runtime (~2 hours), though some sequences feel repetitive.
  • Production (Sree Subrahmanyeshwara Cinemas): Adequate for a midrange romantic comedy.

Strengths

  1. Entertaining first half
  2. Effective comedy sequences
  3. Vishnu & Satya’s timing
  4. Colorful cinematography

Weaknesses

  1. Weak second half
  2. Lack of emotional depth
  3. Forgettable music

Analysis

Debutant Yadunaath Maruthi Rao focuses on humor, building most sequences around Vishnu and Satya. The first half is lively, with fun sequences and a well-timed conflict reveal.

However, the second half falters with predictable twists, repetitive moments, and a rushed climax. Emotional depth is missing, and the writing lacks originality, borrowing heavily from Venky’s Jagadamba Chowdary character.

Music, a key ingredient in romantic comedies, fails to leave an impression. Even at a crisp two-hour runtime, the film feels monotonous at times.

Final Verdict

Vishnu Vinyasam had the potential to be an engaging romantic comedy but ends up as a partly entertaining watch. Recommended for viewers who enjoy Vishnu & Satya’s comic timing and colorful visuals, though the second half and lack of memorable music might disappoint.

Vijay Deverakonda’s Grand Wedding Reception

Share

Vijay Deverakonda and his partner wrapped up their wedding festivities with a grand reception at Hotel Taj Krishna in Hyderabad. Due to a minor illness, Vijay will take a few days off before resuming the shoot of Ranabaali in Kurnool from March 12.

The wedding celebrations spanned multiple locations, beginning in a five-star property in Udaipur, and included traditional Sangeeth, Haldi, Mehendi, and weddings in both Telugu and Koduva styles. Following the main ceremonies, the couple hosted a feast in Vijay’s hometown, a fan party, and a special media reception at FNCC, Hyderabad.

The events were lavishly arranged, reportedly costing around ₹12 crore, making it one of the most extravagant weddings in Tollywood in recent years. Despite offers, including a reported ₹60 crore from an OTT platform for wedding rights, the couple chose to maintain privacy and keep the celebrations exclusive.
