Few hours ahead of the release of NTR’s Nannaku Prematho, Pawan Kalyan had lodged a complaint on the film producer, BVSN Prasad. He alleged the producer did not clear the pending dues of 2 Crore for Attarintiki Daredhi to him.

Pawan Kalyan reportedly asked MAA to make sure his dues are cleared before the release of Nannaku Prematho. MAA reportedly forwarded the issue to Producers Council to look in to it.

The makers of Nannaku Prematho informed the media that the issue will be settled and there will be no problem for Nannaku Prematho release. However it is really bad on the part of BVSN Prasad for not clearing the dues even after the movie becoming an industry hit.

Chennai: Tamil actor Simbu and composer Anirudh Ravichander are likely to sing for the upcoming Telugu romantic-comedy “She”. The film, currently on the floors, features Mahat Raghavendra and Chetna in the lead roles.

“Both Simbu and Anirudh have been approached for two special songs in the film. They’re likely to sing,” Mahat told IANS. The film is being directed by Parsa Mahendar, and also stars Shweta Menon, Sonia Aggarwal and Dhanraj in important roles.

Talking about the film, Mahat said: “It’s a commercial entertainer with some horror angle. I play a guy who works in a pub, and when he meets a girl, the events that unfold form the crux of the story.

It’s got spurts of action, comedy and romance.” Bombay Bhole is composing the music for the film, which is scheduled to hit the screens in March.

Chennai: Actor Akkineni Nagarjuna says he’s at a position in his career where he doesn’t bother about stardom anymore. Instead, he says he would concentrate on doing good films, even if it means waiting for over a year for a release. Nagarjuna’s “Soggade Chinni Nayana”, which releases worldwide on Friday, is his first release since 2014 Telugu drama “Manam”. “I don’t think about stardom anymore. I’m way past that phase. The only thing that matters to me now is doing good films. I may not have had a release in 2015, but the wait has paid off with ‘Soggade…’, which has come out really well,” Nagarjuna told IANS.

Directed by debutant Kalyan Krishna, the film also stars Ramya Krishnan and Lavanya Tripathi in important roles. Talking about the film in which he plays dual roles, he said: “I play the father and son. This is a fun film with a ghost angle. I also come as a ghost, but I won’t be scaring anybody. This is not your regular horror film. It’s a lovely story of a father returning as a soul to help his son”. While the project was supposed to be finished earlier, Nagarjuna says the delay was inevitable. “Quite early on, Shruti Haasan walked out of the project for unknown reasons. We had to wait for three months until Tamannaah Bhatia came on board as her replacement. Though we completed shooting in September, we spent the last few months on post-production,” he said.

A stickler for details, Nagarjuna ensured there was no compromise in the overall product. “Once I finish shooting a film, I usually sit on it to see how we can make it better. This is something I’ve been doing for many years on all my projects,” he said. In a long time, Nagarjuna has starred in a film that’s completely set against a village backdrop. “It’s been a while since we had a film set completely in a village. Although villages are fast catching up with the cities, there’s still something special about shooting there, like its serene environment. It was an amazing experience,” he said. As much as Nagarjuna is excited about the release of “Soggade…”, he’s also concerned about going head on with three more releases – “Nannaku Prematho”, “Dictator” and “Express Raja”.

“I find this trend very unhealthy, because it will force us to share our success. I had announced the release date of my film nearly three months ago and had even paid advance to theatres and blocked screens. Since I had planned in advance, there was no way I was going to step out of the race,” he added. Nagarjuna also awaits the release of Telugu-Tamil bilingual “Oopiri”, which also features Tamil actor Karthi alongside him.

The sensations created by Pawan Kalyan ‘Aththarintiki Daaredi’ are yet to end. We do know that the piracy copy of film was released online during those times and then movie went on to become an industry hit breaking many records. The film was released during those times amidst many controversies including the financial hurdles faced by producer BVSN Prasad.

All of them aside, latest reports from film circles say that Pawan Kalyan filed a case on ‘Aththarintiki Daaredi’ producer BVSN Prasad in Movie Artists Association (MAA) demanding the balance or say pending remuneration amount unpaid. The complaint has been forwarded from MAA to Producers Council and a decision on this is expected to be taken by today evening or tomorrow morning. What made Pawan to file a case, three long years after ‘Aththarintiki Daaredi’ is still unknown.

However, this case has no way connection with ‘Nannaku Prematho’ releasing tomorrow, which is again produced by same man BVSN Prasad. Hopefully, BVSN will clear all these pretty financial matters before it damages his reputation.

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s highly expected film ‘Dictator’ which also happens to be his 99th film is done with a special show screened exclusively for his family members. According to the reports flowed in, along with Balayya’s son Mokshagna, daughters and son-in-laws, it was Balakrishna who arranged for a special premiere. Everyone attending the show is so happy with film and spoke tremendously positive, especially the second half.

‘Dictator’ happens to be a special film for Balayya not just that this is his 99th but for the first time he worked with Kona Venkat team in direction of Srivass. Produced by EROS International on a very high budget, the film boasts a wonderful casting of Anjali, Sonal Chauhan as heroines while Rati Agnihotri is making a comeback into South playing the female antagonist.

Along with high dose action and punching dialogues from Balayya, it is also said that romantic scenes with Anjali, Sonal and fun drive with a big bunch of comedians will serve as a total package for audience.

Here comes the exact reason on why comedian turned hero Sunil was going gaga over Dil Raju and his production banner for making ‘Krishnashtami.’ One has to agree that Sunil isn’t in best of his times as he hasn’t tasted any big success in recent times. So, producers were scared to cast him as hero and none of the promising directors were also seen approaching him. All these are evidentially proving the bad phase Sunil is passing through.
