Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s Sardaar Gabbar Singh started a new schedule today. The makers have erected a street set at Road No.25, Banjara Hills. The schedule will go on for 27 days in this set and is crucial in the perspective of the film.

The makers are planning to release the movie on May 11th, 2016 as Summer Special. Power fame Bobby is wielding megaphone for this film. Devi Sri Prasad will be composing music. Pawan Kalyan’s close friend Sharath Marar is producing the film under his North Star Entertainment banner.

We had previously reported that Mani Ratnam would remake his Tamil blockbuster O Kadhal Kanmani (OKK) in Hindi with one of his former assistants Shaad Ali directing it. The latest is that the popular Bollywood director Karan Johar will produce the film.

Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur will reprise the roles of Nithya Menon and Dulquer Salmaan. Karan, who is currently shooting Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, took to Twitter to make this surprise announcement. “Honored to collaborate with Mani Ratnam on the recreation of his labour of love… Directed by Shaad Ali… Cast coming up (sic),”he wrote.

Later, he also shared the details of the cast. “Mani Ratnam… Gulzar saab… AR Rahman… Shaad and us present Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur in the official recreation of OK Kanmani (sic),” read one of his tweets.

AR Rahman, who did the music for the Tamil movie, will be doing it for the Hindi film as well. It’s unclear if Prakash Raj, who played a crucial role in the film, would reprise his role in the in Hindi version. The film, which marked Mani’s comeback to the romance genre after a decade, was a fresh take on modern day relationships. The screenplay of the film is reportedly being co-written by Mani and Ali. The film will go on the floors early this year.

He is regarded among the most promising actors today; someone who goes the whole hog to get into the skin of his characters. And the prep for one of his recent roles was no different. When the film hit theatres, the results were there for everyone to see, and the film proved to be a big hit. While the actor and his director went all out to say that they had a great time shooting the film, industry sources have a different story to tell.

“Notwithstanding his intense preparations, the actor was given a hard time while shooting. The director, known to be a taskmaster, would ridicule him in front of the entire crew if he struggled with a particular scene,” says a source.

The purpose of yelling and humiliation might have been only to push the actor to give his 100 per cent, but the source says the director’s behaviour raises the question of what a person at the helm can demand of actors in the name of art: “Once, he was unable to get a scene right and the director threatened to show him the door. It was highly embarrassing for him. After a point, even the crew started making fun of him.”

The actor, however, kept his emotions in check and silently tolerated the director’s alleged tyrant ways since did not want to let the film slip from his hand. “Eventually, he did prove that he was the ideal choice for the role,” adds the source.

Mumbai: Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan decided to ditch his car and took an auto-rickshaw along with his two sons. The 41-year-old “Bang Bang” actor and sons, Hrehaan and Hridhaan, enjoyed the ride last night.

“Took an auto home. What was normal pocket money travel for daddy becomes an adventure trip for us boys. Lovely,” Hrithik posted on twitter alongside a photo of the trio posing in the auto-rickshaw.

The actor is currently shooting for Ashutosh Gowariker’s “Mohenjo Daro”, which is set in the ancient city of Mohenjo-daro, Sindh, Pakistan in the era of the Indus Valley civilisation that dates back to 2600 BC.

Though a positive talk is expected ever since the trailer developed a good buzz but overall reception of this stage was never speculated. Particularly, ‘Nenu Shailaja’ got off to a humongous opening in overseas market. Thanks to website reviews which published extremely good reports.

As per official trade reports alone in the USA, ‘Nenu Shailaja’ has opened to $21,587 on Thursday previews followed by $147,791 on Friday and Saturday stood at $159,448 totaling to $328,826 without considering Sunday. As the weekend will be as promising as Saturday, it can be assumed that ‘Nenu Shailaja’ touches half million dollar mark by Monday.

If this is the scenario in USA, some inner trade reports have buzzed on a drop in ‘Nenu Shailaja’ collections from today morning shows both in cities and other lower order centers too. Of course, this drop is expected compared to weekend revenues but we need to wait and see, how far Ram can make his easy walk into Rs.25 Crores club with this flick.

Though he is new romantic young hero in Tollywood, off the screen Naga Shaurya appears to be a complete contrast and is seen pleading with innocence against the rumors circulated on his romantic affair with co-star Rashi Khanna. True that both Naga Shaurya and Rashi Khanna got a combined break with ‘Oohalu Gusagusalade’ which had an authentic romantic chemistry ran between them.

Later on, it is alleged on Shaurya and Rashi are catching each other very frequently and can no more be considered as just friends. Apparently, embarrassing gossips are quite familiar in glamour industry but this romantic linkup rumor did not die off from some time. Finally, Rashi reacted during an interview saying, ‘I did not meet Naga Shaurya from quite some time. So, please put off these gossips.’

Among all the three to four movies scheduled to stand in Pongal race, its Sharwanand’s ‘Express Raja’ appears to be first in completing the Censor formalities. While others like ‘Nannaku Prematho’ is still in production works, ‘Dictator’ wrapped up its production with Censor date yet to come out and Nagarjuna’s ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ as informed earlier is going for Censor test on 6th.

‘Express Raja’ got the clearance from Censor board receiving clean U certificate. UV Creations produced this movie in direction of Merlapaka Gandhi of ‘Venkatadri Express’ fame while hero Sharwanand also got ‘Run Raja Run’ to his credit in association with UV Creations banner.

Reports say, Censor officials have appreciated director and producers for having a wonderful product on hand which has got hilarious treatment and some sensible thrill too. Music is composed by Praveen Lakkaraju while Surabhi of ‘Beeruva’ fame is heroine. The film is all set to release on 14th of this month.
