Amma’s Stickers On Underwear, Man Arrested
Recently, the sycophancy displayed by loyal followers of Tamil Nadu CM J Jayalalithaa when they pasted Amma’s stickers on all the flood relief materials received severe flak from media and even the floods affected people in Chennai and other parts of Tamil Nadu.
But in a strange case, a man named Saravanan from Karaikudi near Chennai was arrested by the Tamil Nadu police on Monday for derogatorily pasting Amma’s stickers on underwear and publishing the pictures on social media. Apparently, the man did this as an enraged act of revenge and protest against Amma and her men’s pasting Amma’s stickers or flood relief materials.
Soon, the images went viral on WhatsApp and local AIADMK leader S Meyyappan approached the cops who tracked down Saravanan and arrested him under Section 346 of Indecent Representation of Women (Prevention) Act and Section 3 of Harassment of Women Act.
Saravanan, who owns a small scale garments manufacturing company, has been sent into 14-day judicial custody.
