Chennai: Actress Taapsee Pannu, who will soon start shooting for Telugu film “Ghazi” with Rana Daggubati, says she essays a very tough character in the film. This will require her to spend a lot of time in its preparation. “I have decided to go a few days before my shoot because it’s a tough character to get into so I definitely need time to get into the feel of the script and character,” Taapsee said. To be helmed by Sankalp Reddy, the film is tipped to be India’s first submarine film which will be about the mysterious sinking of PNS Ghazi, a Pakistan deployed Submarine.

“The director has done tremendous research with regards to the script and characters, so I’m looking forward to working on it with him,” she said. Later this month, Taapsee is likely to join the sets in Hyderabad. She’s excited to be shooting in the city after a long time.“It’s been more than two years since I shot in Hyderabad and I’m eagerly looking forward to it. I love the city and people there. I have so many friends there,” she added. As Taapsee started her career from Hyderabad and has a lot of good memories of it, she wants some time to reconnect with the city.

By officially releasing a press note that except for a song whole shoot of Nannaku Prematho will be wrapped by 15th December, makers of this Jr NTR starrer confirmed that they are in Sankranthi race. Also January 13th is declared as their date, while Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Dictator is arriving on 14th. What is this clash for anyway in the first case?

Earlier Jr NTR eyes January 8th and one week gap between Nannaku Prematho and Dictator is seen very healthy. Now that both these films of same Nandamuri family heroes are hitting without any gap, internal rivalry is expected to catch fire again. From first day collections to spreading of negative talk, what not, everything will happen between NTR and Balayya’s films like it happens in the case of rivals movies.

By moving the release date closer to Balayya, why Jr NTR is waging this war if not to prove his strength and prove a point that he could strike a chord even without support of hardcore Balayya supporters. Being Sankranthi season, other neutral audiences will enjoy both the films for sure, but it’s Nandamuri fans who are feeling little uneasy with this move.

We all know how the Tollywood stars’ #ManaMadrasKosam fundraiser ended up in a stampede like chaos at a popular Hyderabad mall last Sunday. Over enthusiastic fans rushed towards the stars to take selfies, autographs and some even to exploit the vulnerable situation, thereby causing severe discomfort to the stars and especially the actresses like Kajal Aggarwal, Lakshmi Manchu and Tejaswi etc.

In such a volatile situation, Tollywood’s macho hunk Rana Daggubati donned the role of a bouncer and protected Kajal from the maddening crowd which surrounded her. Rana steered Kajal off the crowd and took her to the star box area.

While pushing the mob away from Kajal, Rana grabbed a mic and shouted ‘orey aagandi ra babu, meekosame ochhamu, konchem dooram jaragandi’. All the stars were extremely dejected with fans’ behavior and even cancelled two more shows at two other popular malls in the vicinity.

Such behavior from fans will not only demoralize stars who showed such commitment and a kind heart towards those in need, but may also keep the stars away from all such public events for charity, which will invariably affect several thousands of people who are desperately in need of help. Panaji: Actor Rahul Dev, known for his tall, rugged and fit frame, says he has been slotted as a negative character onscreen. The actor, who has essayed rough and tough roles in Hindi and Tamil films, said: “I’ve done (various) negative roles… Everything in life tends to slot you. I have been in showbiz for 25 years… But like a reporter would have some kind of portfolio, in the same way I have been slotted as a negative artiste (in films).” Rahul is currently here as part of couple-based reality TV show “Power Couple” with his girlfriend and actress Mugdha Godse.

Talking about his film work, Rahul said: “I have three projects and one of them is ‘Dishoom’, which I am shooting for. It is obviously a negative role (for me), I have been presented quite well… Rohit (Dhawan) has been a kind director.” The actor has also had two back-to-back film releases in the Tamil film industry — “10 Endrathukulla” and “Vedalam”. The latter, featuring superstar Ajith Kumar, raked in Rs.15.3 crore on release day in Tamil Nadu, and emerged as the biggest box office opener in the language since last year’s blockbuster “Kaththia”.For now, Rahul is focussed on “Power Couple”, which will be aired on Sony Entertainment Television channel starting Saturday.

The show will see celebrity couples like Apoorva Agnihotri-Shilpa Saklani, Aamir Ali-Sanjeeda Sheikh, Delnaaz Irani-Percy Karkaria and Ashmit Patel-Mehak Chahal taking physical and mental tasks for testing their compatibility. “Power Couple”, which was launched here, will be co-hosted by Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora Khan.

Off late, there have been different rumors circulated on intermediary hurdles faced by ‘Brahmotsavam’ with Mahesh Babu expressing the dissatisfaction on director Srikant Addala. After the commercial failure of ‘Size Zero,’ its producer Prasad V Potluri is concentrating on ‘Brahmotsavam’ and ‘Oopiri.’

As per the unofficial reports flowed in, Mahesh and Pvp are in continuous touch discussing on how to better the output of ‘Brahmotsavam.’ While the storyline and their trust on Srikant Addala isn’t disturbed but the film must evolve as a blockbuster to make their combination meaningful. Initially, it was Mahesh Babu who openly suggested Addala to make some changes in final script.

Later Pvp too was agreed with Mahesh version. Now, it has to be wait and seen whether they will go for re-shooting of some episodes or they will struck to the old portions. Good thing is, Namrata is also actively participating in production works giving her active inputs. With so main brains working on ‘Brahmotsavam,’ hopefully this will be a superb product in the offing.

It’s all official now. Young Tiger NTR’s forthcoming film ‘Naannaku Prematho’s release date has been confirmed as January 13 by the makers through a press note released today. As we know, Natasimham Nandamuri Balakrishna’s much awaited film ‘Dictator’ has been scheduled for release on January 14.

Initially, it was heard that NTR was afraid of his babai’s film release in the same season, as such, NTR reportedly thought of getting his movie postponed. Also, it was widely speculated that TDP had tried to the core to get ‘Naannaku Prematho’s release postponed. Nothing of that sort, however, happened and the makers of ‘Naannaku Prematho’ have dared enough announcing the release date of the movie for Sankranthi.

Rakul Preet Singh sizzles opposite to NTR in this stylish action entertainer. Devi Sri Prasad has scored the music of the movie. The makers are planning to release the audio of the movie on December 23. Sukumar has directed this movie on SVCC Cinema owned by BVSN Prasad.

Since Mahesh is back on track with the blockbuster success of ‘Srimanthudu’, all of his upcoming films are expected to be record breaking earners in the US, ROW and in India as well. On the other hand, analysts opine that the market for Telugu movies in ROW needs to be developed more.

If Megastar wants to have the title “Auto Jaani”, then he needs to call Puri Jagan. Same is the case with Ram Charan, for whom “Chota Mestri” is registered by director Sampath Nandi.

Also Sampath registered “Bengal Tiger” similarly for Pawan Kalyan but has later given that to Raviteja. So, if a mega heroes misses such favorite titles, which sound connected to past films of Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan, then other heroes are going to use them.

Fans feel that mega heroes are being blackmailed by these directors as they register the titles in advance. However, mega compound maintained that in case if they like particular title definitely they could get it from anyone, no matter who directs the film.
