Warangal campaign in top gear

WARANGAL: The ruling TRS seems to be very confident about the party candidate Pasunoori Dayakar’s victory in Warangal bypoll. According to irrigation minister, T. Harish Rao, no party is in a position to give enough competition to the TRS. He along with deputy speaker Padma Devender Reddy, Rajya Sabha member Gundu Sudha Rani, MLA Konda Surekha, Konda Murali campaigned in Desaipet on Monday. Addressing the people, Mr Harish Rao said TRS will easily win the byelection and that other opposition parties could not even find a local candidate to contest the election. “There is no doubt about TRS victory here in Warangal. Other parties are in the fray just for namesake. No other government has done what the TRS government has done so far for the farmers. The government waived off farmers’ loans to the tune of 54 per cent. The opposition parties are unnecessarily blaming the TRS on the farmers’ issues.

The people understand that it is the Central government which has failed to increase the MSP for the cotton farmers. The Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao chose a common man like Pasunoori Dayakar to contest for the MP seat. The people will surely vote for a local and true Telangana fighter instead of the outsiders the opposition parties have sent to this contest,” he said.

Dattatreya seeks transparency:

Accusing the ruling TRS for not maintaining transparency in governance of the state, Union labour minister Bandaru Dattatreya questioned the state government why there is no implementation of the projects sanctioned by the central government in the state. He said the people have started turning against the TRS governance. He demanded transparency in the development and programmes of the government like Water Grid and Mission Kakatiya. He said he suspects misuse of power by the ruling party in the ensuing byelection and appealed to the State Election Commission to ensure that unbiased elections will be conducted in Warangal. He blamed the TRS government for the distress among the farmers as the government failed to address their issues. “The Chief Minister is altering the designs of irrigation projects unilaterally. The opposition parties were not even allowed to question the government,” he said.

People will not forget YSR: Roja

YSRC leader Roja campaigned in Warangal on Monday along with party’s MP candidate Nalla Surya Prakash. Her campaign began at Raghunathpalli and covered Station Ghanpur, Zaffergadh, Wardhannapet, Mam-noor, Kazipet and Hasanparthy. Addressing the gathering at Raghunathpalli, she said that people will not forget the welfare schemes introduced by late chief minister Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy and that Nalla Surya Prakash should be elected as the MP for the benefit of the people. “It is time for this corrupt government to start packing. This government has no place for women. People should vote for YSRC for development,” she said.

Apache deal, a boost to ‘Make in India’

Hyderabad: Boeing said its joint venture with Tata Advanced Systems would “co-produce aerostructures and pursue integrated systems development opportunities…. to produce Apache fuselages.” It said the deal would accelerate “momentum for ‘Make in India’.” The Modi government had in September last signed a $2.5bn deal to buy 37 military helicopters from Boeing – 22 Apache attack helicopters and 15 Chinooks – to replace ageing Soviet-era aircraft.

Boeing and Tata Advanced Systems on Monday announced the joint venture to manufacture aerostructures for aircraft and collaborate on integrated systems development opportunities in India. The JV will initially create a manufacturing centre of excellence to produce aerostructures for the AH-64 Apache and will compete for additional manufacturing work packages across Boeing platforms, both commercial and defence. Boeing and Tata Advanced Systems intend to grow the JV partnership with a focus on opportunities to collaborate on development and selling of integrated systems. “This partnership will capitalise on India’s industrial capability, innovation and talent to contribute to Boeing’s long-term competitiveness, and position us for future growth in the global marketplace,” said Chris Chadwick, CEO of Boeing Defence, Space & Security. “It is a demonstration of our commitment to further accelerate our partnership with one of the world’s fastest growing economies,” Boeing said in a statement.

“The agreement to establish a JV will propel the growth of the Indian aerospace sector by leveraging the world-class competencies of TASL and its supplier eco-system, as well as provide access to India’s world-class manufacturing capability, skilled talent and competitive cost structures,” said S. Ramadorai, chairman, Tata Advanced Systems. “Over the last 12 months, we have doubled our sourcing from India and are committed to continue that journey,” said Mr Pratyush Kumar, president, Boeing India. “Our commitment was demonstrated by Boeing chairman Jim McNerney’s presence at the recently concluded aerospace Innovation Summit in New Delhi and this JV is a clear example of Boeing’s long-term commitment to Make in India,” said Mr Sukaran Singh, MD and CEO, Tata Advanced Systems.

TASL is one of the select few private sector companies in India undertaking manufacturing and assembly of both aircraft and helicopters. Boeing and Tata group companies have established partnerships in India to manufacture aerostructures for Boeing’s commercial and military aircraft. Tata Advanced Materials has delivered composite panels for the power and mission equipment cabinets and auxiliary power unit door fairings for the P-8I long-range maritime surveillance and anti-submarine warfare aircraft. TAL Manufacturing Solutions is manufacturing complex floor beams out of composite materials for the Boeing 787-9, the most modern aircraft. It has also provided ground support equipment for the C-17 Globemaster III strategic airlifter.

Separate Seema Stir Embarrases Jagan

The growing demand for separate Rayalaseema state seems to have landed YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy in an embarrassing situation.According to party sources, Jagan, who is trying to rebuild his vote bank in coastal Andhra, particularly East and West Godavari districts, has found himself in a tight spot with his own party leaders making tall statements on Rayalseema statehood.

While YSR Congress party’s political affairs committee member M V Mysura Reddy declared that he was ready to lead the agitation for separate Seema, party MLA G Srikanth Reddy also openly announced his support to the demand.

This has naturally irked Jagan, who has interest all over Andhra Pradesh. If his party rakes up the separate Seema demand, he will have to confine himself to four districts and his party would lose grip on the remaining nine coastal Andhra districts.

Jagan is learnt to have called the Seema leaders and pulled them up, asking them to keep their mouths shut.

Akhil Pulling It Single Handed

Akhil Akkineni is all set to make grand debut on screen tomorrow amid Diwali festivities. Akhil’s first film Akhil directed by VV Vinayak is surprisingly not showing power at the ticket window in terms of advance bookings. Akhil is luckily the only Telugu movie to release in this week which means decent talk from the initial shows could boost the ticket sales.

Meanwhile the producers of this film Nithin and Sudhakar Reddy are not showing great enthusiasm in promoting this film. Except for the teasers and trailers there is not a single innovative promotional idea from them. Nagarjuna chose them over many top producers and they too have spent a bomb on the movie irrespective of knowing Akhil’s craze among the business circles.

Akhil is so enthusiastic that he is doing all the promotions single handed by giving lots of interviews and doing promotional tours. Akhil is not leaving any platform to promote his debut film. His enthusiasm is endearing for sure. Everyone is lauding his love for cinema and the zeal to make it big in this field. Hope the producers also takes inspiration from him and do their bit to promote the film.

The competition between Balayya and nephew is heating up every single day and both of them are also competing when it comes to releasing press notes, teasers, posters of their current movies for every festival. So this Diwali, both stars have sent out press statements and new posters of their movies, Dictator and Nannaku Prematho.

It is known that both are slated for release during Sankranthi and the press releases once again confirmed the same. Now, it is obvious that neither Balayya or NTR are backing out of the race. Meanwhile, Balayya’s Dictator being directed by Sri Vaas and produced by Eros International is yet to complete 25 per cent of the shooting part and the film’s audio will be released in December.

On the other hand, NTR and director Sukumar will be leaving for Spain on November 19 for a 20-day long schedule there.

Unethical To Popularise As Prabhas’s Fiancee

Share

Bringing a photo of a beautiful looking homely girl into scene, few media houses are just crossing all the limits in terms of sensationalism. At least that’s what Prabhas fans are saying now.

Already Prabhas has confirmed earlier that he’s not thinking about marriage, until he wraps all the work on on Baahubali 2. But Bollywood rumour mills have churned out a story that a girl 10 years younger than Prabhas was already fixed as his bride.

They claimed that she’s from Bhimavaram town and recently completed her studies. Adding salt and pepper to this story, few Telugu media houses have brought a photo of a girl into limelight. Neither her name, nor about her family, nothing is known, but still the photo of that girl is doing rounds everywhere.

Without knowing facts or digging into reality from authentic sources, how far it is correct to popularise a girl in that way? It’s unethical and against journalistic values.

Nandamuri Hero Finally Into Right Hands

No one can dare to question Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s penchant for cinema. Despite putting lot of hard work and investing lots of money into the film industry, Kalyan Ram didn’t see much success he deserved. Kalyan Ram always had to risk his own money to keep his passion for cinema alive. Apart from Atanokkade and Patas nothing turned out to be profitable for him.

Producers who run after heroes hailing from big families sadly overlooked Kalyan Ram all these days. After making debut in Ramoji Rao’s banner Kalyan Ram thereafter had to produce almost all of his movies. Kalyan Ram can finally smile as mega producer Dil Raju came forward to produce his next film.

Dil Raju made a promise to Kalyan Ram after Patas that he would make a movie with him on his banner. Dil Raju distributed Patas that earned him very good profits. He is paying back by keeping his promise. Dil Raju who has introduced so many young directors to Tollywood is going to launch Hari as director with this film. Kalyan Ram too tasted success with newcomers like Surender and Anil Ravipudi. So this is surely a movie to watch out for.

Rajamouli Appreciates Ram Charan’s Film

Nope, it’s not about “Bruce Lee”. Directorial giant SS Rajamouli is always known for his elements, when it comes to appreciating a movie that deserves applause. And now, he’s busy heaping praises on one such film which happens to be a future project of his ‘Magadheera’ hero Ram Charan.

Very late but saw Thani Oruvan. Aravind swami was so good. He nailed it. Heard hip hop thamizha are 2 youngsters. Great background score. Could see that a lot of smart work went into the making of the film. Keep it up raja. It is against the formula so success must’ve been even sweeter“, said Rajamouli, today. In fact, ‘Thani Oruvan’ is so liked by Ram Charan too, for that reason he has already kept Surender Reddy on the task of preparing guns for Telugu remake.

Anyway, with a big director like Rajamouli imprinting his stamp on the script of ‘Thani Oruvan’, no doubt buyers of Ram Charan’s Telugu version will be quite excited. Rajamouli’s review on the film will indeed act as blessing in disguise for film’s business after “Bruce Lee” turned a disaster.

Telangana TRS minister Kavitha aplomb about the upcoming Warangal elections was in full festive mood and made some fierce comments on national politics as well as Warangal elections. She also complained of the centre’s negligence towards the states.

Kavitha seemingly unhappy with the central authorities in political helm said all their requests and pleas were going unheard by the national party in power. “Despite our continues request to divide the state High court from the last 16 months not a single step in that direction has been taken” Kavitha said. She further stated that the future of politics would be centred around regional parties.

Upon being questioned about Warangal election and Sonia, Rahul duo not campaign in Warangal, Kavitha with brimming confidence stated that “War in Warangal is one sided”. Could be a new gained confidence from Bihar elections.
