Akhil will finally hit the screens on November 11 for Diwali and the team is busy promoting the film. Of late, it has been seen that Brahmanandam hasn’t had very good roles and his characters were totally bland and not up to the expectations of his fans.In fact, in Bruce Lee, his character was a total wash-out and in Sher too his character was really not up to the mark. In fact, there was a time when Sreenu Vaitla would write special characters for him. But he too failed in giving him something interesting.

But once again, for Akhil, Brahmanandam’s character is being hyped. Akhil has tweeted that Brahmanandam’s role will have the audience in splits. Similarly, the film’s producer Nithin too has said that Brahmanandam will have a very good role that the audience will enjoy thoroughly.

Well, it could be part of publicity or it could be to give a push to Brahmanandam. Whatever be the reason, it remains to be seen how good his character has come out in Akhil. Let’s wait and watch.

Since Kalyan Ram’s Sher failed to make any noise after Pataas, Raju Gari Gadi got to make some money in the very first week and the collections are going good even now.As for Sher, it did not even manage to make Rs 3 crore and has turned out to be this year’s major disaster. Krish which won critical acclaim has been making decent money in A centres.

Bruce Lee ended up with a loss of Rs 15 crores and Rudrama Devi too ended its run with losses. This week saw the release of Colors Swati film Tripura.

The only goals Akkineni Akhil seems to have kept for him-self is to satisfy the thirst of Fans and meet every high expectation audience have dreamt about his debut film. Starring Sayesha Saigal as heroine, ‘Akhil’ is directed by VV Vinayak. The film is getting rare appreciations from entire industry much before the hitting of screens. Reason is the hard work and single minded dedication from Akhil.

‘Before you complete watching the first song, you will get onto a strong opinion on Akhil that he is a superb actor with total ease. I cannot leave the topic without mentioning on introduction song. As we shot it late hour, Akhil worked more than two days non-stop. I can remember the situation when Akhil fainted on sets while practicing the dance steps for song. He has done intense rehearsals without taking enough food so as to maintain the physique. I was shocked with this kind of commitment from a youngster and that too for the very first film,’ visibly Vinayak went emotional.

No more doubts, Akhil has given more than 100 per cent for the film and it is next duty of audience to assess the skill from 11th of this month.

Teenage girls look older than the boys of same age. That is a biological phenomenon which needs no logical explanations. Very few directors might be aware of this fact and one can still remind those words of director Teja explaining the reasoning behind selection of an elderly looking Sada as heroine besides Nithin for ‘Jayam.’

Same was sensible in yesterday released ‘Tripura’ because heroine ‘Colors’ Swathi has all of sudden noticed in overweight. Right from beginning portions of the film, Swathi never looked lean as comfortable as what we have seen in her earlier flicks. Lot of padding was observed in different occasions and why director Raja Kiran has done this might need a justification for at least a section of film lovers.

Generally, Swathi suits the best for energy oozing teenage characters with talkative characterization. Though, she has maintained the needed peppiness in whole of first half in village episodes but there is a problem with Swathi’s physical presentation. Was it deliberately done to give authenticity in village belle character or was it an error in character design?

Rakul Preet singh is right now the hot and happening heroine in Tollywood. She already had a film with Ram Charan in Bruce Lee and is pairing up with NTR and Allu Arjun in Nannaku Prematho and Sarainodu. To cash her popularity, Senior Producer Bellamkonda Suresh had roped in her for a film with his son, Srinivas.

Rakul has got a cheque of 1.5 Crore for this film. Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyindhe fame Vijay Kumar Konda will be directing the film which will go on floors the next year after Srinivas completes his current commitment.

Srinivas is currently busy shooting for a film directed by Bheemaneni Srinivas Rao. The movie is said to be a remake of Tamil blockbuster, Sundara Pandian. Recently they have shot an item song with Tamannah.

Writer Vakkantham Vamsi who was waiting on sidelines for NTR’s nod to become director finally got his nod. The project will be launched in May the next year. However the movie will start rolling only in the second half of 2016.

NTR wants to complete the shooting of his next, Janatha Garage with Koratala Siva and release it before shifting his focus on to Vakkantham’s project.

So the project may see light towards the end of 2016 or early 2017 NTR’s brother, Kalyan Ram will be producing the film on his NTR Arts banner. Kalyan Ram who suffered a massive flop recently with Kick-2, is banking on this project to be back on success track.

Nagarjuna and Karthi’s bilingual multistarer film. Oopiri is currently being canned in Hyderabad. The makers are planning to release the movie on February 5th, the next year. Usually February is considered as dull season for film releases.

The first look posters of the film released few days ago, have garnered good response from all quarters. The movie is inspired from French film, Untouchables. The movie was extensively shot in the never before seen exotic locales of Paris, Lyon and Belgrade, Nagarjuna will be seen as a patient suffering from a deadly disease while Karthi will be his care taker.

Tamannah is the female lead. The film is having music by Gopi Sundar of Ustaad hotel. Potluri Vara Prasad is producing the film under his PVP Cinemas banner.

Unlike the strong media reports on projecting ‘Akhil’ as a powerful action entertainer in socio fantasy backdrop as suggested in the trailers, here is director VV Vinayak offering a different color for all our speculations. Yes, Vinayak neither calls this as an action flick nor a social fantasy.

‘I would say ‘Akhil’ as a good comedy movie. There are all those commercial ingredients in the film needed to launch a newcomer. As an artist, Akhil worked very hard and I foresee a future super star in him. ‘Akhil’ has a neat love story, good family drama and there is wonderful humor. It is a tough task for any artist to compete or share the screen space with Brahmanandam. But, Akhil has done it quite easily with a nice comedy timing with Brahmanandam,’ the director is all in praises for Akkineni scion.

Anyways, ‘Akhil’ is hitting the screens on 11th of this month amidst huge expectations. Good to see a tremendous positive buzz built up and openings would shatter many records because Nithin is releasing the movie in nearly 400 screens alone in Nizam territory.

Mega fans got furious over after being watched a program telecasted by a news channel which showcased a psychologically imbalanced person claiming Megastar Chiranjeevi as his dad. However, the person has done a big blunder claiming the child artist’s role was played by him in Chiranjeevi’s ‘Pasivadi Pranam’.

However, it was baby Sujitha, who played child artist’s role in ‘Pasivadi Pranam’ and everyone in the industry is aware of this fact. Sujitha after attaining youth acted many TV serials and a couple of movies. She played the role of the sister of King Nagarjuna in ‘Azaad’. It must also be mentioned that Sujitha is the sister of ‘Satyam’ movie’s director Suryakiran.

Doesn’t the channel know all the above facts? Observers say the channel has telecasted the above program intentionally to erode the image of Chiranjeevi but its attempt has turned out to be a futile exercise. On the other hand, fans are protesting that caste based yellow media should be banned. It remains to be seen what future course of action to be taken on the yellow media by the Tollywood film fraternity.

Akkineni Akhil seems to have no hypocrisy in accepting facts in spite of he belongs to highly reputed lineage of Tollywood. Last evening he participated in Q & A session quite actively on his twitter page and answered to many questions in a sensible manner.

When Akhil was quizzed ” Who is your favourite dancer” from one of his followers, Akhil was sharp and straight forward in his answer.”Chiranjeevi garu is the best. I’m waiting for his re-entry”. With this answer Akhil’s boldness and frankness have been elevated.
