Apple Watch in India @ Rs. 30,990
U.S. technology major Apple on Friday started selling Apple Watch in India at a starting price of Rs. 30,990 to Rs. 9.9 lakh per unit. The company has launched three variants in two different display sizes — 38 mm and 42 mm — and customers will have an option to buy from 40 combinations. In the 38-mm category, Apple has priced Apple Watch Sport with silver aluminium case and white sport band at a starting price of Rs. 30,900 and Apple Watch with stainless steel case and white sport band at Rs. 48,900.
The premium model in the 38-mm segment, Apple Watch Edition with 18-carat rose gold case with white sport band has been priced at Rs. 8.2 lakh per piece. The watch allows users to make and receive calls, read e-mails, control music, take pictures, manage Instagram photos and keep track of fitness using the smartwatch. Apple Watch is the first new product category to be launched under Tim Cook, who took over the reins of the company after Steve Jobs stepped down. This is also Apple’s first new device category since 2010, when it entered the tablet market with iPad.
In 42-mm display space, the company has priced Apple Watch Sport with silver aluminium case and white sport band at Rs. 34,900 while Apple Watch stainless steel case with white sport band is selling at a starting price of Rs. 52,900. Apple Watch Edition, which comes with 18-carat rose gold case with white sport band, is retailing at Rs. 9.9 lakh. Apple is selling these products through its over 100 premium reseller stores in the country.

It also caters to the need for high-quality pictures and videos of advertising agencies, magazines and TV channels. “A beautiful photograph can be captured by anyone, anywhere. With advances in mobile technology, each one of us can be a creator. While there are several businesses that cater to professional photographers, there is none that allows sharing of beautiful photographs by amateurs that may find appreciation,” said Nair.
Cop sent to CID custody for grilling
KARIMNAGAR: Bobbala Mohan Reddy, ASI of Choppandandi and an accused in the suicide of Ken Crest International School’s manager, would be sent to four-day custody of the Crime Investigation Department (CID) for interrogation. He was also suspended from service for alleged involvement in running finance agencies without obtaining a license.
Azhar Hussain, magistrate of Karimnagar additional muncif court issued orders, allowing sleuths of the CID to take the cop into custody from November 6 to 9 following a petition filed by the investigating agency.
Earlier, Karimangar range in-charge DIG B. Malla Reddy issued orders, suspending the ASI following his alleged role in the suicide and other offences including money laundering. It may be recalled that probe into the suicide of the school manager and alleged atrocities of the cop were transferred to the CID on Tuesday.
Looking At Climax, Nag Asked To Postpone
“Akhil” is all set to hit cinemas on November 11th, on the occasion of Diwali. Till sometime back fans are upset that the film has missed out October 22nd release date, leaving the much high potential Dasara season. As explained earlier, Nagarjuna took the call to postpone the film regarding graphics issues. Director Vinayak explains how the whole thing happened.
“Actually we’ve made a climax where there is a flight sequence, in which an airplane catches fire and bursts into flames. The whole sequence should be so thrilling and give audiences a lump in throat kind of feel. But graphics haven’t turned out good”, said Vinayak, explaining which scene has hampered the 22nd October release date.
Both Sudhakar Reddy and Vinayak are unable to take a decision about this poor work as the release date approached. There comes King Nagarjuna into picture. “After looking at that climax, Nagarjuna asked us to postpone the release. He said delaying a film by 10 days won’t do any loss, but releasing this cheap work will do”, Vinayak adds. With Nag’s call, the film got pushed to November 11th date.
Anyway, how did Vinayak and Co have resolved the issue? “A local Hyderabad company DQ Entertainment stepped into scene and created whole Computer Graphics and vfx for the sequence. It turned out superb now” concludes Vinayak. Hope all these hard efforts pay well at box office.
Former Warangal MP, Siricilla Rajaiah, kin arrested
Warangal: Following the death of former Warangal MP, Siricilla Rajaiah’s daughter-in-law Sarika and three grandchildren under mysterious conditions on Wednesday, Rajaiah, his wife Madhavi and son Anil Kumar were sent to Warangal central jail.
A sitting judge sentenced them to 14 days police custody. The police shifted Rajaiah’s family from Mamnoor police station to MGM Hospital on Thursday and after completion of medical checkup, they were produced before the magistrate.Police on Thursday continued to interrogate Rajaiah, his wife Madhavi and son Anil Kumar at the Mamnoor police station following the mysterious death of his daughter-in-law Sarika and three grandchildren on Wednesday.
The police has collected many samples from the former Congress MP’s house and the room where the burnt bodies of the four deceased were found. The samples have been sent for forensic examination.

How long our directors and writers stick to the same story? Horror is for scaring people, but scaring them in the same way with a toast of comedy all over has become quite routine here. Why is Tollywood failing to invent some new kind of horror is what everyone discussing now.
Sexual assault and killing are the two biggest disappointments to watch continuously on screen because they are not a funny thing to look at. Since Nirbhaya incident we are witnessing many such assault and murders, and turning those girls into ghosts is the most shameful thing now. Writers and directors, are you reading?

The actress is organising “The Organ Donation Pledge” campaign on Saturday at a hotel in Madhapur. Not only will she take the pledge to donate her organs, she also wants her fans to do the same. “We just had a Rota virus campaign for babies in Vijayawada, free vaccinations,” informs the actress, adding that a lakh babies die every year from it.
“We think that we need money for charity, but organ donation does not require money. Your organs can save a life after you die. Everyone can do something for a better society,” adds Samantha.
Rajaiah To Be Suspended From Congress !
The Congress Party has initiated damage-control exercise in Warangal after its earlier Lok Sabha election candidate Rajaiah was arrested and jailed in the case pertaining to mysterious death of his daughter-in-law and three grand children in a fire mishap at his residence two days ago.While the party had already replaced Rajaiah with Sarve Satyanarayana, the party is worried that the ghastly incident would have adverse impact on the prospects of Congress in elections.
The party high command is all set to suspend Rajaiah from the primary membership of the party to minimize the damage to some extent in elections. The TS Congress leaders brought to the notice of party high command that Rajaiah’s episode caused immense damage to Congress image and unless Rajaiah is suspended, the party will not be in a position to put at least a reasonable fight to the ruling TRS.
They said all the political parties are trying to use Rajaiah episode as a weapon to defame the Congress in the elections and he should be suspended at the earliest to send a strong message that the party would not tolerate such ghastly incidents.
Complaint filed against ABN Radhakrishna
A complaint has been lodged against ABN Andhra Jyothi chief Vemuri Radha Krishna with the Press Council of India on Friday over the ‘fund-raising issue’ of conjoined twins Veena and Vani.The complaint was lodged by Telangana Advocates JAC, which complained that Radhakrishna collected funds by telecasting programmes on ABN Andhra Jyothi channel highlighting the plight of Veena and Vani and sought donations from viewers to help the conjoined twins and their parents.
They complained that Radhakrishna collected lakhs of rupees as donations through the programme and cheated Veena and Vani and their parents by not extending the financial assistance to them and instead used the amount for his own needs. Earlier this week, Secunderabad magistrate ordered Saroornagar Police to file a case on Radhakrishna and ABN under sections IPC 406, 420, 403 and 120B, based on a petition filed by Sunkari Janardhan Goud.
The petitioner alleged that neither the channel nor RK had concern to use the funds for the purpose they were collected. Telangana Advocates JAC requested the chairman of Press Council of India to inquire into this issue and initiate stringent action against ABN channel and its chief Radhakrishna for cheating viewers and affected family of Veena and Vani.
