Ravi Teja and Kick Shyam’s Combo Again ?
Super success of ‘Kick’ was one of the memorable hits among Mass Maharaj Ravi Teja’s films. Shyam, who played a crucial role in the movie, was shot to fame as an antagonist and negative shaded roles in subsequent days. He became ‘Kick’ Shyam with the success of ‘Kick’.
Kick Shyam has done a key role in Stylish Star Allu Arjun’s ‘Race Gurram’. The movie stood as the year’s biggest hit last year. And now, Ravi Teja wants Kick Shyam to be roped in for his new movie ‘Yevado Okadu’ to be produced by Dil Raju. Ravi Teja maybe of the belief that Kick Shyam would become the sentimental factor for the success of his film and so has decided to work with him.
‘Yevado Okadu’ will be directed by Venu Sriram of ‘Oh My Friend’ fame. The movie’s music will be scored by Devi Sri Prasad. The movie will be made on Sri Venkateswara Creations. Meanwhile, Ravi Teja’s ‘Bengal Tiger’ is slated for release on 27th of this month.
Akhil’s New Trailer Rocking
Akhil’s ‘Akhil’ movie theatrical trailer was not so impressive and received brick bats from the critics when it was unveiled. However, new theatrical trailer of the movie appears a way better than the first one. But then, this trailer can be seen in its Tamil version. Akhil cuts the mustard with his dances, fights and youthful performance. Action and romantic scenes were nicely embedded in the trailer while ‘The Power of Jua’ concept is seen as glimpses.
‘Akhil’ is hitting the screens on November 11 as a Diwali gift for the audiences. Thaman and Anup Rubens have jointly scored the music of the movie while Manisharma provided the music of the film.
The movie has been directed by VV Vinayak. Sayesha Saigal has played the lead actress of the film. Hero Nithiin has produced the movie on Shresht Movies. This movie is expected Akhil to be made as a star with his very debut venture itself.
NTR’s Gesture on Balakrishna Appreciated !
As of now, Young Tiger Ntr’s ‘Naannaku Prematho’s release date has been contemplated as January 8 as a Sankranthi gift for fans and movie lovers. On the other side, Natasimham Nandamuri Balakrishna’s ‘Dictator’ is also joining Sankranthi race as the makers have recently announced the release date of the movie as January 14. In that way the competition between babai and abbai is inevitable.
Nandamuri fans feel that it would be a ballsy competition of Nandamuri heroes for Sankranthi. They hoped proper gap should be maintained between the releases of both the movies. As per cooked up stories, Ntr has been approached by a mediator recently for the postponement of the former’s film. Without showing a sign of hesitation, Ntr repotedly said, if babai comes to Sankranthi, I will go back for sure. If not the movie will be released for its scheduled release date.” With this gesture, Ntr showed his respect on his babai to the greater quarters.

Ram Charan’s ‘Bruce Lee’ Noteworthy Records
Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s ‘Bruce Lee – The Fighter’ hit the screens on October 16 and carried utter flop reports on the day one of its release. Even then, the movie could collect the share of Rs.41 crores. The movie incurred a sum of 25% losses in India and 50% losses in Overseas. On a whole, the movie suffered with 30% losses. Media, however, rated this movie as a disaster. Noteworthy point is that the movie has created some interesting records in spite of its disaster talk. Checkout the following.
* This is the sixth movie of Ram Charan to have breached the share of Rs.40 crores.
* The movie successfully crosses the full run shares of some of the hit films like ‘Legend’ and ‘Businessman’, while it comes close to this year’s successful ventures like ‘Temper’.

AP Govt Signs MOU with World Economic Forum
The state government of Andhra Pradesh signed a pact with World Economic Forum (WEF) on Wednesday. As per the pact, WEF will help AP gauge its strengths and weaknesses. The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), signed during the National Strategy Day on India event of WEF, sets platform for a future collaboration that will allow the state government and its partners to assess competitiveness.
Through the use of the WEF’s Global Competitiveness Index (GCI), the Andhra Pradesh government and its partners will assess the competitiveness – both strengths and weaknesses – of the state’s economy. The assessment will provide key data for the design of evidence-based policies and reforms, and allow comparison with other economies of similar size or at a similar stage of development.
“Collaboration with the World Economic Forum will provide us with the methodology, tools and knowledge to design better policies. Identifying and measuring bottlenecks to growth and prosperity are critical steps for the State of Andhra Pradesh to fulfill its ambitions,” AP CM Chandrababu Naidu said.
The methodology used to assess Andhra Pradesh’s competitiveness will draw on the GCI, which measures a set of factors and policies that together determine an economy’s level of productivity and its ability to prosper. The assessment is based on the performance in 12 categories: institutions; infrastructure; macroeconomic stability; health and primary education; higher education and training; goods market efficiency; labour market efficiency; financial sector development; technological readiness; market size; business sophistication; and innovation.
The Forum will provide technical support and help train government staff on GCI methodology, data collection and interpretation of results, with the goal of building capacity for the Government of Andhra Pradesh and its partners to carry out competitiveness assessments independently and on a regular basis.
25 Tollywood Stars Return To Theatre
Most of the star actors, leading comedians and character artistes in Tollywood first started out with theatre. Legendary actors like NTR and ANR too graduated to feature films after a successful stint on stage. Now, in a rare event of cinema returning to theatre, more than 25 Tollywood actors, including Tanikella, Naresh, Babu Mohan and Sivaji Raja etc will soon act in a popular play titled Cine Bhasmasura.
Directed by noted theatre director Udaya Bhanu, Cine Bhasmasura has been a successful play for nearly 3 decades. Cine Bhasmasura is a hilarious comedy narrated in a realistic manner and it shows the craze for celebrities and getting eventually disillusioned when seen from close quarters.
The play is an adaptation of Hart & Kaufman’s ‘The man who came to dinner’. Speaking in a press meet to announce the play, senior actor Tanikella requested all his fellow actors to cater a few days every year to perform in at least one play to revive the lost glory for Telugu theatre.

Comedian Ali’s bold comments at the audio launch of Size Zero continue to hit headlines as it has become talking point within and outside film fraternity. While the debate is on whether it was all planned before by the film makers to generate publicity or it was sheer accidental, Ali’s comments are hot topic now.
It can also be noted that Ali has roped in director K Raghavendra Rao into the issue and even drew similarities between him, his son Prakash Kovalemudi for focusing on heroine’s waist. “Father and Son didn’t leave Nadumu (waist).
While father (Raghavendra Rao) used almost all fruits to hit heroine’s Nadumu without leaving any other fruit, son is now making his debut with Size Zero. Look the film’s caption is ‘Sanna Jaji Nadumu’. Here too he didn’t leave Nadumu,” commented Ali.
Raghavendra Rao is well-respected in the industry and no one would dare to talk about him directly like Ali did. With Anushka, KRR tight-lipped on the whole issue and even anchor Suma responded comfortably to Ali on the dais, many are believing this as a publicity act.
Will ABN RK Show Stars To KCR?
The Supreme Court’s order to revive the telecast of blacklisted news channel ABN has come in a time exactly where crucial bypoll for Lok Sabha constituency in Telangana has been announced. Since bypoll for Warangal Lok Sabha is ahead, the revival of services of ABN in Telangana is like a big setback for KCR and his party.
It’s not something TRS would welcome as it would affect their poll prospects. Already, there has been anti-incumbency against KCR and his government which would be highlighted by the channel that had been barred for 508 days in the new state.
It may be noted that Supreme earlier ordered Centre and MSOs to immediately render services of the channel and even asked to circulate the order copies to district collectors. So, it’s unlikely that KCR could do anything to defer this.
On other hand, the wide talk in media and political circles is that ABN Radha Krishna too won’t leave easily. So, let’s wait and see the big political Tamasha.

With the release date of Akkineni Akhil’s ‘Akhil’ is fast approaching excitement among the fans is magnifying. Mushrooing of gossips is seen everywhere. Dictator Audio Launch in Amaravati
The makers of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Dictator are planning to organize the audio release function of their film in Amaravati, the capital region of Andhra Pradesh. The event is likely to happen in Mid-December.
Currently the shooting of the film is going on at brisk pace and they are planning to complete the entire talkie part by December 1st. Plans are on to release the movie on January 13th as Sankranthi Special. Loukyam fame Srivas is wielding megaphone for this movie.
He is also the co-producer of the film along with Eros International. Anjali and Sonal Chauhan are the heroines. Famous writers duo – Kona Venkat and Gopimohan will be working for the first time with Balayya. SS Thaman is composing music for the first time for a Balayya film.
