Heroine Praneetha finally revealed the name of her hotel. Earlier it is speculated that the hot Bapu Bomma of “Attarintiki Daredi” has invested in an upmarket restaurant in Lavelle Road, Bangalore, a posh locality quite close to the city’s IT hub. But why this hottie kept the news under the wraps, including the name of restaurant?

Name of the restaurant where Praneetha invested money is ‘Bootlegger’ in Lavelle road. “Actually many actors do invest in various businesses towards the fag end of their career. When I reveal about my liking for becoming entrepreneur, everyone is likely to think same way.

But I want to continue both my film career and this new business” says Praneetha, revealing why she kept the news under wraps. “Bootlegger is to satisfy my passion to become entrepreneur, but not for money or to save myself latter”, she adds.

Though the success of Attarintiki Daredi hasn’t done much to her career, Praneetha has now banked her expectations on Mahesh Babu’s Brahmotsavam.

Ahmedabad: His fans go crazy in theatres when he takes off his shirt and it turns out to be one of the selling points of his movies but few people know that Salman Khan is “uncomfortable” wearing clothes. The superstar admits that he and his father Salim Khan prefer to don “minimum clothing” at home.”I’m very uncomfortable with clothes. Something happens to me when I start wearing clothes,” said Salman, who is known for his wit, during a fashion show at IIM Ahmedabad on Friday night. “Come to my house someday and you will see it for yourselves. Its not me only but my father too. We prefer to remain with minimum clothing, for instance pant with baniyan (vest), shirt or sometimes bare chested.”

In sync with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call to make khadi fashionable again, the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) , a non profit organisation, presented the second edition of its unique initiative to display the capabilities of the humble fabric – “Huts to High Street”- at Louis Kahn Plaza of the IIM on Friday night. The special showcasing was in association with the Gujarat State Khadi & Village Industries Board (GSKVIB).

India’s leading and young designers came together to present their innovative modern twists to hand spun and woven embroideries and Rohit Bal, Rajesh Pratap Singh, Pero by Aneeth Arora and 11.11 /Eleven Eleven were among those who showcased collections soaked in crafts and Indian heritage. Salman, who walked the ramp with his “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo” co-star Sonam Kapoor in an outfit designed by Pratap Singh and Bal, asserted that he likes to wears khadi outfit in his personal and professional life.

“I got to know that I wear khadi more often. Yes it’s a mix and adulterated khadi but I wear it. I bought a lot of khadi outfits during my college days from a place in Mumbai. I remember that it was very difficult to to close buttons in khadi but now things have changed. “Even in ‘ Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ I have worn several Khadi outfits,” he said.

The “Dabangg” star also noted that he is planning to add a khadi line in his fashion line Being Human. “I called up the person who manufactures clothes for our Being Human line and told him that we should have something of khadi. We should be proud of the fact that it is made in India,” he said.

Last week Pawan Kalyan and his team went to Gujarat for the filming Sardar Gabbar Singh but our sources say no shooting took place there during their entire stay. Then what did Pawan Kalyan do in Gujarat? He and his team mostly did was scouting for locations for their next long schedule and did rehearsals.

The unit reportedly is planning a long shooting schedule in various locations in Gujarat state. They will be heading to this place in November.

Critics say this whole exercise with the entire crew members is burden to the producers as it involved huge cost but Pawan Kalyan wanted all members present.

Sardar Gabbar Singh, directed by Bobby, is currently being filmed in Hyderabad. The movie has Kajal Agarwal who is yet to join the sets and it is scheduled for summer 2016 release.

Why Ravi Teja’s Bengal Tiger is getting delayed for the release which is supposed to come on November 5th? As per the producer of the movie the reason is not it is being ‘repaired’ but for other reasons. The team of Bengal Tiger today denied the reports that the movie is being reshot.

Says K Radhamohan, the producer, ” We planned to release the movie on 5th November but due to postponement of Akhil’s first movie, we are not releasing the movie on 5th November. Since both the movies are being distributed by Global Films in Telangana state, we wanted some time between these two movies.”

He also said that the film’s shooting was completed long back and is ready for release anytime.

Starring Ravi Teja, Tamanna and Rashi Khanna, Bengal Tiger is directed by Sampath Nandi with the music by Bheems.

At last count, mega family has at least 7 heroes working in the film industry. Well, it is indeed tough to make a name for one’s self if there is such competition from within home. And this is leaving aside the rest of the industry.So talk in industry is that Varun Tej has finally got a strong foothold in the industry thanks to Kanche. The film has been critically acclaimed and it is also doing decent business at the box office.

Now the big question is does he have a future in the industry. Yes, say industry insiders. Since Varun Tej has proved that he is looking at different films, it has generated curiosity around him. Also, both his films have left a mark on the audience.

So talk is that producers are keen on making films with him. And that has taken off a huge burden off his dad Naga Babu, as he no longer has to worry about his son’s next film. And Tagore Madhu who made Mukunda with him is planning to make another film with him. And Krish has already said that in the next three films he has planned, one will be with Varun Tej. Another film being directed by Puri Jagannadh titled Maa Amma Mahalakshmi is also being readied for release.

Well, surely Varun Teja seems to have made his place in Tollywood.

After “Akhil” got engulfed with rumours of reshoots and re-edits, many other biggies that are lined up for Diwali are going through similar stuff. As these films are getting postponed and their publicity not happening, many feel that these reshoots are indeed true.

Recently Akhil gave clarity that there is nothing like a reshoot happening with his film. Now, it’s the turn of Ravi Teja’s “Bengal Tiger”. Producer Radha Mohan has today confirmed that they have also completed the patch-work and not doing any sort of reshoots for the film.

Buzz has that Raviteja is unhappy with the final result and he don’t want Kick 2 result to repeat. Director Sampath Nandi is heard giving some re-touches to the flick by shooting some scenes again. Anyway, Bengal Tiger’s producer slammed reshoot rumours.

But why’s “Bengal Tiger” is not hitting cinemas on November 5th as planned? “Actually, both Akhil and Bengal Tiger are being distributed by same people in Nizam. As their film is coming for Diwali, we don’t want to eat away into revenues of each other. But film’s final copy is ready for release at any given time”, the producer said. A new date will be announced soon.

Veteran actor-filmmaker Dasari Narayana Rao has once again made headlines with his striking comments on the star families in Tollywood. Speaking at the audio launch event of Swati-Naveen Chandra’s upcoming horror flick, Tripura, Dasari first praised Naveen Chandra for making a mark in Tollywood without any filmy background but just with his hard work and talent.

The veteran then spewed fire on star families saying that at least 10 actors are entering films from star families these days. It is very difficult for outsiders to get a chance and even if they get a chance, it is very difficult to prove their talent. It’s not easy for outsiders in the industry.

Dasari then praised filmmakers like Krish, Rajamouli and Shekar Kammula for making successful films even without top stars. “A director can create a hundred stars, but a star cannot create a director or a star,” said Dasari. The also reiterated his earlier comments of small films should release on festivals and showed the successes of Raju Gari Gadhi and Kanche as examples.

Mumbai: Actress Radhika Apte considers the experience of being on the jury for the first time in her career fun and challenging at the same.At the ongoing 17th Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival, Radhika was one of the jury members of Dimensions Mumbai, a short film competition section.

“It was challenging. To be on the jury and judge films can be a big responsibility. But thanks to Dibakar (Banerjee) who, as the head of jury, really helped us to get through this,” Radhika told IANS. Explaining why the process was also fun, she said: “We saw a total of 23 short films. The whole experience was so refreshing and we got to see some really interesting films. It’s not every day we as actors get to watch so many films and analyse them.”

“Dimensions Mumbai” is an initiative to spot the up-and-coming talents in the city. These films were unique, yet similar in its way of paying tribute to the city. “I liked how the city was portrayed in so many different aspects.

I would not have thought about certain things on which some films were made. There is so much talent and it is so encouraging to see them making use of the opportunity,” she said. The jury also featured Parineeti Chopra, Juhi Chaturvedi and Suraj Sharma.

Akhil, the youngest Akkineni, was earlier supposed to greet his fans on Dasara. However, last minute glitch in the film’s visual effects caused a devastating postponement of the film. The delay literally wrecked the hearts of fans who even went averse against the film. The disappointment increased even more with the rumors of the film being delayed further to Sankranti next year.

However, positive buzz is slowly surrounding the film once again with the confirmation of the film’s release on 11th November on the occasion of Diwali. While fans are thrilled with this confirmation, here’s a big threat. It is well known that Akhil will also release in Tamil a grand way. In fact, the Tamil version’s producer C Kalyan even planned to invite Superstar Rajinikanth for the audio launch.

But the 11th November release would see Akhil locking horns with two of the biggest stars in Tamil, Kamal Haasan and Thala Ajith. While Kamal’s Cheekati Rajyam is releasing on the 10th of November, Ajith’s Vedalam is releasing on the 11th. With two huge films in the bout, whether there will be any takers for Akhil is something to be seen.

Will the Tamil version go for a separate release when there is no big competition at the box-office? Will there be the same excitement till then are the questions bothering Akkineni fans. Luckily, Akhil’s Telugu version will have less or no competition at the box-office this Diwali, with Ravi Teja’s Bengal Tiger delayed by a week.

It’s none other than his brother, cousin Varun Tej, who asked director Krish not use any such titles.

Actually few people from mega camp have fixed the title ‘Mega Prince’ title for Varun Tej, for his dashing looks like a prince. However, Varun asked “Kanche” makers not to use any such title because this is a honest film that deals with casteism and racism. Both Ram Charan and Varun Tej are standing as good example in that sense.

The latest story doing rounds is that she hasn’t been paid her due for the film.

Apparently, she was promised Rs 4 crores as remuneration. The makers gave her Rs 1 crore initially and then made her a partner in the film and even gave her name in the credits as a producer. Now that the film has become a disaster, she hasn’t been offered any money and she cannot ask them as there are absolutely no profits to show.

Talk is that Aishwarya stayed away from the promotions due to remuneration issues and it is said that neither Amitabh or Abhishek spoke about the film due to same reasons.
