‘My Brick-My Amaravati’ to make Guinness Record

It’s every man’s dream to have his name engrave in the Guinness Book of World Records. With the People’s capital Amaravati, Civilians of Andhra Pradesh are up for it. It is only coasting each person a sum of Rs. 10 and one single Brick to achieve this almost spectacular dream, all thanks to the state government’s innovative initiatives.

The state government of Andhra Pradesh along with “Mana Matti- Manna Neeru” has taken up another initiative to bring about a bonding between the people of Andhra Pradesh and its new Capital “Amaravati” and that is “My Brick- My Amaravati”.

Every citizen of the state has the opportunity to buy a digital block online costing Rs 10/ block from the website http://www.amaravati.gov.in and today on the 10 of November 2015 the people of state are working together to make the dream of making a Guinness Record come true.

Wide Eyed as to how is that happening? Amaraviti is only 18 amd odd hours away from making this happen and just 1 lakh 50 thousand odd people away (Statistics at 2:30 PM IST). After reaching its target, The state of Andhra Pradesh and its new building Capital Amaravati would be in the Guinness Book of World Records for “MOST NUMBER OF TRANSACTIONS IN 24 HOURS”.

On Vijayadhashami (Oct 22) Andhra Pradesh was proud to host a never before kind of Capital (Amaravathi) inauguration while for Diwali they are making a Guinness Book of World Records!!! Be it Mana Matti- Mana Neeru or My Brick-My Amaravati, The state government of Andhra Pradesh is taking every effort to involve its men in the building of future India’s pride Amaravathi. Like never before people from 75 countries have purchased Digital blocks and donated their share for Amaravati’s construction.

Nara Lokesh Emerges Power Center in TDP

Ever since Nara Lokesh elevated to the post of General Secretary for TDP National Committee and ex-officio member of the politburo, party’s highest authority on Sep 30 this year, things are swiftly changing in the party. After serving in the gross roots as party welfare fund coordinator and playing pivotal role in record membership drive of the party, the scion and heir apparent of AP CM Chandrababu Naidu, who has been a backroom boy in TDP, is soon emerging as new power center in the TDP.

Stanford-educated Lokesh is taking crucial decisions in the party and having series of meetings with the top brass and asking them to focus more on strengthening the party which holds sway in AP and Telangana. The move is aimed at expanding the base of the party and want to go national. Recently TDP won two seats in the Andaman municipal elections, and likely to contest the next general elections there.

The TDP is also contemplating to foray into the north Karnataka region which has good number of Telugu-speaking people. Lokesh is now focusing on these aspects to take the party to the next level. From last few days it’s being buzzed that mega producer Allu Arvind is quite an intelligent when it comes to judging scripts. And guess who should get that mega help from him now.

Actually it’s heard that the original producer of “Bhale Bhale Magadivoyi” is DVV Danayya, but Arvind managed to get the project after he listened to the story. Similarly he’s also trying to get remake rights of “Thani Oruvan” for himself to produce it for Ram Charan. That’s fine, but where are this producer’s judgemental skills about scripts when it comes to his younger son Allu Sirish.

At a time when all the mega heroes including the newly launched Varun Tej and Sai Dharam Tej are racing like anything at box office, it’s upsetting that Arvind’s talent is not helping his younger son to prove his mettle. Either Arvind should buy interesting remakes or find out potential scripts to get his son into groove.

Well, the talk is about that Range Rover and Mercedes Benz that’s purchased by Mahesh Babu and Akhil respectively. They say that these stars have gifted themselves these luxury beasts on the occasion of Diwali. Fact however lies that these stars have just upgraded. Here is an interesting piece.

From last 8 years, Mahesh Babu is using a white Range Rover that bears the registration number 4005. Our Superstar is also having this obsession for 9 total and then he makes sure that all of his cars gets the number with same total.

After using that luxury car for years, he has now upgraded himself to Range Rover Autobiography, a limited edition beast. Same is the case with Akhil, who drives a Mercedes S Class all these days. He too got upgraded to a cute new Merc just to get all the latest features on the dashboard.

Ultimately we’ve missed the moment these stars gifted those cars for themselves for the first time, but this moment of ‘upgradation’ is also something to celebrate.

What happens when a Silicon Valley veteran, a product management specialist and a stand-up comic come together for a business proposition? They create a mobile app. That’s exactly what Prasanna Jagannathan, Sampath Jagannathan and Murali Satagopan, more family than friends, have done.

Brigge, their brainchild, funded by The Chennai Angels, strives to use technology to help like-minded people connect. “We want to change the way people approach leisure,” says Prasanna. “Our app is a platform for anyone who wants to do something interesting, but do not have company.” So, what exactly is Brigge? Predominantly a Chennai-based app, that’s also available in other centres, it is a social platform where people can discover and participate in activities happening in their areas of interest. How different is it from a Google Doc or a WhatsApp group? “It is both put into one,” explains Sampath. “The difference is that it motivates you to get out there and do the things that you’ve always wanted to.”

Post its preliminary release in the Android platform on September 14, the app — which has already clocked in about 1,000 users — has clicked with groups and individuals; the former for roping in more people for their activities, and the latter for finding company for activities they like to do. From posting neighbourhood runs, organising meetings to discuss terrace gardening techniques, and setting up story-building workshops for children, to getting a couple of neighbourhood kids to join in a game of badminton, the app functions as a curator of events. “We had someone posting details about group board games and that has picked up,” says Murali Satagopan. “People who’re crazy about bikes have met similar-minded folks through the app and gone for long rides.”

Apart from this, the application also lets people create activities in which others can join. Users can also share updates and photos within the activity, besides creating ‘spaces’ to showcase their personal brand, organisation or group. “Our vision is to make every hour of leisure count,” they say. And once that’s done, will users still have the need to use the app? “That’s the whole point,” adds Murali. “We do not want them to spend a lot of time on it. We want them to find something exciting, and get out there.” Finally, why did they choose the name ‘Brigge’? “Well, it had a nice ring to it. And, it’s the old spelling of ‘bridge’.” Goes perfectly with their idea of good ol’ socialising.

Puri Jagannath ‘Rogue’ Heroines

Soon after the completion of ‘Loafer’ with Varun Tej, director Puri Jagannath will jump on to new movie ‘Rogue’ introducing producer CR Manohar’s son Ishan to the big screen. This film has been in news from some time and pre production works are also reported to have begun to make sure that ‘Rogue’ will be launched immediately very early in the New Year.

Into the glamour part, Puri never allows monotony to creep into his films as he picks new faces from various portions of globe. For ‘Rogue’ too, he is using the same technique because sources say that Amyra Dastur and Angela Krislinzki are the two names under consideration. In fact, Amyra’s name is suggested even for Ramcharan’s ‘Thani Oruvan’ Telugu remake which is currently kept on hold.

On the other hand, Angela Krislinzki worked with Puri Jagannath for an item song in ‘Jyothi Lakshmi.’ Well, these are early reports and once ‘Loafer’ hits the screens, we might get more information on the cast, crew and remaining details of ‘Rogue.’

Puli Producers Suffered Losses With Sreedevi

Actress Sreedevi approaching Mumbai Producers Council filing a case on ‘Puli’ producers for non-payment of her remaining remuneration has come like sensational news in Kollywood and Bollywood. In retaliation, ‘Puli’ producers requested Nadigar Sangham to mediate in the issue and solve it amicably. As per an official statement from PT Selva Kumar and Thameens, in turn Sreedevi owes them money but not the other way.

‘We paid Sreedevi whatever was signed in the agreement. We suffered losses and her presence hasn’t come to any use in Hindi version. Boney Kapoor insisted us to release the film in Hindi because of good market for Sreedevi. For this, we paid her 20 percent of Hindi satellite rights. Boney Kapoor took that money directly from Hindi buyer Manish. As the film was released in various other languages, Boney Kapoor forced us to give extra remuneration. For Telugu version dubbing, she took additional 15 Lakhs.

When there were three costume designers working on ‘Puli,’ both Sreedevi and Boney hired Manish Malhotra and we paid 50 Lakhs more for him and then additional 8 Lakhs for marketing designer of Hindi version. Despite spending so high, she did not even attend our audio launch events. Anyways, we will negotiate with Sreedevi and close the problem peacefully,’ they informed.
