TRS party MLAs were criticized yesterday for laughing while opposition party leaders conversing seriously about farmers suicides during assembly sessions. Today, a TRS MLA provided full fun for his colleagues.

“Our honorable Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had performed Padayatra in the last government at Gadwal of Mahabubnagar district, despite suffering from 120 degrees fever for the preservation of Telangana farmers rights,” asserted TRS MLA Karne Prabhakar that offered unlimited laughs to other legislative members, including his own party MLAs.

In fact, Prabhakar mistakenly told 120 in place of 102. After seeing question mark in his colleagues face, Prabhakar corrected his words. This incident happened while the MLA was speaking about government’s approach towards farmers suicides. If temperature increases more than 105 degrees, it is danger for health. Then, how it would be if the fever reaches 120!

So, being responsible persons, honorable legislative members should check more than once while speaking at Assembly and other platforms.

Making the days long speculations true, the Telugu Desam Party has appointed the Telangana TDP’s Kodangal MLA Revanth Reddy as the party’s working president for the Telangana state. In the wake of TDP spreading its roots as a national party, the party’s central committee’s president, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, appointed the new committee members for the Telugu states just a while ago.

Revanth’s appointment once again proves his command in the region and also Chandrababu’s trust in his leadership abilities in handling the Telangana cadres, despite the ongoing investigations by the ACB in the cash for vote scandal. Senior party leader from the region, L Ramana, has been appointed President of T-TDP.

And for the party’s AP committee, Kala Venkatrao has been made the president, while Nara Lokesh, MP Konakalla Narayana and Revuri Prakash Reddy have been appointed Chief Secretaries of the central committee, which constitutes of 7 leaders from Telangana and 9 leaders from AP as the politburo members.

Ever since the Nara Chandrababu Naidu led TDP government came into power last year, there have been a handful of a tragedies, both manmade and natural disasters. Easily the biggest of them all, the Hudhud cyclone, rattled the spirit of Uttarandhra people. But Chandrababu’s timely support and able administration revived the hopes of people and even people’s trust in Chandrababu increased multifold.

However, some of the mishaps that have been taking place of late have started to show am adverse effect on  people’s confidence in the government. For example, nearly 30 devotees lost their lives on the inaugural ceremony of Godavari Maha Pushkaralu in July. While controlling such a huge crowd is indeed a herculean task, it was clearly evident that the government failed in implementing strict security measures. Also, no action has been taken so far on the officials except suspending a few officers in-charge.

Then came the series of student suicides recently, which literally shattered the morale of the student communities across the state. Yet again, the culprits behind the suicides are still at large and the investigations continue to go on forever.

And most recently, the Injection psycho (Psyho Sudigadu), who still continues to terrorise women and children not just from the Godavari districts but the injection attacks have now spread to Guntur and others parts of the state. It is appalling that no culprit has been nabbed even after more than a month.

The most recent tragedy is the mysterious missing of little girl from Vizag, Aditi, who is said to have accidentally fallen into a sewer 3 days ago, and she is yet to be traced, even though a huge team of police and GVMC workers taking part in the search operations.

All these mishaps explain that the Chandrababu’s government has grossly failed in handling public safety and is slowly losing people’s trust. While Chandrababu and his team of ministers have always been assuring people of justice and help, in these crisis times, it’s actions that matter the most than the words.
