Mega Cousins Vs Akkineni Cousins
Families and their relatives, no matter what critics says, these guys will get little easy entry into film industry and if they prove their worth they are here to stay. In this connection, lets have a look at the cousins of two big families and how they are doing now.
The first successful hero to arrive is hero Sumanth, who happens to be nephew of Akkineni Nagarjuna. But he has shimmered for a while and then got diminished. Currently he’s having no films in hand. Two of his supposed films went till pre-production but got halted.
And then, here comes Allu Arjun, who is a son of producer, but tasted success mostly due to his relation with Megastar Chiru. He’s cousin of Charan and debuted much before him. Currently Bunny is ruling the roost as a star hero with highly dependable market potential.
And then we have cousins like Sushant from Akkineni family and Saidharam Tej from Mega family coming up. Sushanth has done a flick year in the last 4 years but haven’t cemented his position, and right now there is no flick of him in production. Coming to Saidharam, he’s slowly starting to prove himself and has 3 films in production now while one releases tomorrow.
To sum up, we have to say that Mega cousins are rocking the circuits, while somehow Akkineni cousins have missed to judge the opportunities.

‘America Wants To Be India’s best friend’
The 40th Leadership summit of US-India Business Council (USIBC) on the eve of the first Strategic and Commercial Dialogue between India and the USA just a week before PM Modi’s US tour has seen the American Vice President Joe Biden opening arms to India as he said that the US wants to be India’s best friend. Reciprocating to Joe’s comments, India said that both the countries’ relationship is defined by the natural synergy of democracies.
The business conclave, the largest bilateral trade association in America constituting 300 top US and several Indian companies, is expected to set the positive environment for Modi’s summit meeting with the American President Barack Obama, third summit within a year ever since he took charge as the country’s Prime Minister last year.
The Vice President further reiterated that Barack Obama believes that the India-US relationship will be a relationship that will go a long way in defining the 21st century. Joe Biden also said that both India and the US have so much potential for investment and trade, provided more reforms were formulated. The Vice President also assured that the US will support any kinds of reforms stipulated by Modi.
Baahubali Effect, Flop Here And Hit There
Thanks to the earth shattering success of Baahubali’s Malayalam version in Kerala, Young Rebel Star Prabhas is now a hot property among Malayalis. Baahubali continued its dream run until recently, and before the stream could fizzle out, Prabhas over again reigned over his Kerala fans with his latest Malayalam dubbed release, Bujjigadu as Rudran.
Couple of weeks ago, Rudran was released to a huge response from Prabhas’ fans in several parts of Kerala. The film was purchased for a decent price of 9 lakhs, and it had a limited release in Malabar and Palakkad areas. However, the response has been tremendous and the film collected close to 15 lakhs share.
Thanks to this success, Rudran will now release in several main centres across Kochi and other major towns this 24th. Interestingly, Prabhas’ yet another hit film, Mirchi, will also release big on 24th this month. The Kerala distributors are promoting the film as ‘Baahubali stars back in Kerala’, since Mirchi has Prabhas and Anushka, both who played memorable roles in Baahubali.
Harish Shankar regrets disappointing NTR
Director Harish Shankar’s career is always a mixed bag. He made his directional debut with a disaster, Shock and later went on to direct Powerstar Pawam Kalyan in a blockbuster, Gabbar Singh. Harish was all of sudden a star director and got to direct Young Tiger NTR next with Ramayya Vasthavayya but it ended up as a disaster.
“With the different results of Shock, Gabbar Singh and Ramayya Vasthavayya, I am used to success and failure they do not bother me much. But I am very disappointed that I could not deliver when a star like Tarak trusted me and gave a chance”, Harish Shankar said in an interview.
Harish’s fourth film, Subrahmanyam for Sale starring Sai Dharam Tej and Regina is releasing tomorrow. Harish had pinned high hopes on this film to make it big and be back in to success track. Subrahmanyam for Sale is one of the early scripts penned by Harish in his career.
