Ever since the news of several senior Tollywood celebrities being recommended by the Andhra Pradesh government for the coveted Padma awards was reported this morning, there have been several rumours that popular hero Jagapati Babu has been lobbying hard to get his name included in the list of probables for Padma Shri award.

It is silly to even claim that Jagapati Babu is lobbying by pulling off his higher contacts when the list has already been approved by the CM Chandrababu Naidu and dispatched to the Union Ministry of Home Affairs. If at all someone lobbies for his name, it should be done much before the probable list was prepared and not after it has been submitted to centre.

On the other hand, Jagapati Babu, even though has big contacts, would not desperately cry for awards at this juncture as he has been a recipient of several state government honours in his career. While getting a coveted award like Padma Shri is indeed a great achievement, it is nothing but belittling to say that a senior actor who has been a successful actor for the past two decades is lobbying for awards.

Say what may, in the name of Ram Charan, mega family now owns an airline themselves, and it is “TruJet”. And that brings not just pride to mega family, there are also some troubles thrown at them. We are not talking from the business perspective, but from simple air-traveller’s viewpoint.

There is a chance that people might say, when the family members itself are not travelling in their own airlines, why would others love to travel in them? And if Mega family heroes and related celebs travel in TruJet always, then they may say what is this exaggerated promotion needed for?

Mega family heroes may travel on TruJet or not, simply they will get both praises and brickbats. That’s the problem with society when one has a business that will attract many types of consumers. For genuine air travellers, what matters is the ticket price, and whoever offers a low airfare will win their hearts, it maybe TruJet or any other.
