Tamilians Warn To Demolish Sobhan Babu’s Statue

Artistes know no boundaries and they are loved by millions of their fans across the borders. While many stars from Bollywood, Tamil and Malayalam and other film industries have solid fan base even in Telugu states, a handful of Telugu stars too enjoy the immense love and admiration from fans from other states. One such actor is the yesteryear’s King of Romance, Sobhan Babu.

Following the protests by a Tamil extremist political organization Tamizhar Munnetra Padai (TMP) which threatened to demolish Sobhan Babu’s statue in Chennai, the Chennai Police have beefed up security surrounding the Sobhan Babu’s statue. Already, several protesting leaders of the party have been taken into custody.

After the Tamil Nadu government denied permission to install the statue of stained LTTE leader, Velupillai Prabhakaran, the TMP vowed to demolish the statue questioning that how can the government refuse the statue of the Tamil war hero but let statues of stars from other regions enjoy the city space. Meanwhile, several Telugu organizations in the city lamented at the happenings and requested the protestors not to categorize the artistes based on regions and languages.

Venky’s Movie Is Mother Of Baahubali

Almost all the stories that are made into films have some or the other connect with Mahabharata and Ramayana. That’s why even Hollywood screen writing guru like Syd Field says that Mahabharata is the mother of all screenplays. Some social media folks however say that a past film of hero Venkatesh is the mother of Baahubali.

Crazy cinema admirers who always come up with some naughty explanation or criticism about a film are now stunning those who admired ‘Baahubali’ trailers. When the whole of India is feeling excited to catch this magnum opus on silver screen, it is being shared that writer Vijayendra Prasad (Rajamouli’s father) got inspired from Venkatesh’s ‘Jayam Manadera’ to pen Baahubali’s story.

They have made a collage of pictures that actually compare each character of Baahubali to the characters in Jayam Manadera and they sound so relevant that we have to believe them. Especially Devasena’s two roles to that of Bhanu Priya in Venky’s film are bang on.

Anyway, a distanced son finding out that he’s a clone of his ‘great’ father and then engaging with enemies in a final battle, rescuing the truth, and later finding his aged mom still alive, is a story which we have seen umpteen times. What matters is Rajamouli’s screenplay, drama and narrative instilled with visual kick.

Bunny Rejects 11 Crore Live Dance Deal?

News is doing rounds since this morning that a noted PR and Event Managament company has received a flak from Stylish Star Allu Arjun. This company has offered a lucrative dance deal to Bunny, but our hero rejected it right away.

As per reports, Bunny is offered a deal of 11 crores to dance at five USA cities in a span of a week. Like the way Shahrukh Khan tours around the world, with his “SLAM Tour”, the organisers want to make most out of this South India’s dancing sensation. Along with Bunny, their plan is to get other young heroes and heroines on board. However, our hero refused to take up the deal.

It’s not that Bunny isn’t interested to perform dances at live events, but Stylish Star expressed that he will take up such offers if they are intended for charity. At a time when most stars consider money is everything, it is highly respectful that a star Telugu hero doesn’t even consider such deals.

Future of 10 Lakh Inter Students in AP is Dark

The future of nearly 10 Lakh Intermediate students of the new state of Andhra Pradesh is gloom as the AP Board of Intermediate Education (APBIE) is crippled in financial woes. The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) has asked all the bankers to freeze the APBIE accounts citing the order of High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad in the AP State Council of Higher Education matter.

With this, banks have frozen accounts of the APBIE making it lurch for funds. As a result, AP is facing a crisis with results being only recently announced and students waiting for their marks memos. Without access to funds, the Inter Board is crippled since it can’t pay salaries or print memos and certificates.

Funds to the tune of Rs 109 crore of the erstwhile BIE were already divided between the Andhra Pradesh and TSBIE according to the population ratio. But in the last month, the Hyderabad High Court had ruled that the APSCHE and all its assets in Telangana belong to the TS government and the Telangana State Council of Higher Education. Though APBIE is trying its best to overcome this hurdle, banks are not budging to its requests.

Given that the future of 10 Lakh inter students is involved, APBIE has to issue mark memos to students which is crucial in admissions and counselling sessions for Eamcet, IIT JEE, AIEEE. “We have made certain arrangements beforehand. But funds are important issue. We are asking banks to at least release some amount since it concerns 10 lakh students.

But they are not even responding,” a senior official of the APBIE said. The Intermediate body is of the opinion that the High Court judgement pertains only to the APSCHE and canâ€™t be applied to every institution. APBIE is now mulling legal options to get out of the tangle.

Charmi Apologises To Nithin Publicly!!!

“The truth is that even I don’t know for what reasons Jagan and Nithin’s film stopped. But just because I heard some rumours from somewhere about their finance problem and without checking to say it in press is my mistake. I sincerely apologise for that”, said Charmi, in a statement this afternoon.

Earlier, as she spoke to a leading media house about the cancellation of Puri Jagan and Nithin’s movie and the involvement of her in it, Charmi said, “Nitin has invested more on Akhil’s film and can’t pull finances for this movie, so he walked out.

Irritated Puri Jagan immediately fixed the same film with Varun Tej under C Kalyan’s production”. These words have blown into out of proportion as media folks started to ask Charmi how come a financier and distributor like Sudhakar Reddy, and a star hero like Nithin will have finances issue.

Unable to retreat from the statements she has given to press, probably Charmi slipped into defence now and on damage control mode now. Already hands are burnt Jyothi Lakhsmi, no use of catching the leaves now.

Governor Has No More Credibility

The TDP has now made its stand official in asking the Center to replace the Governor. The Party says that Narasimhan is clearly biased in favor of the TRS.

Various Ministers in the Naidu cabinet have come out with open condemnations of the Governor’s behavior in the last year and especially in the phone-tapping incident.

While the phone-tapping allegations are viewed by many as an attempt by the TDP to sidetrack the ‘cash-for-vote’ scandal, it is a fact that the Governor has done precious little to intervene in the disputes of AP and Telangana or reign in KCR.

Despite numerous occasions of KCR foul-mouthing the Seemandhras, the Governor appears to have done nothing to change the behavior of KCR. And in various disputes despite various representations made by AP to him against Telangana, he has only remained a mute spectator.

Whether the Center continues with him or not, it is clear that relations between him and the TDP can no longer be cordial.

Veteran Actor Spends Five Hours In Makeup Room

Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor, who would next be seen in “Kapoor and Sons”, says he spends five hours in the makeup room to get dressed.

The 62-year-old took to micro-blogging website Twitter to share a photograph of his makeup room and has called the chair in front of the dressing table the “throne of transformation”.

“Throne of transformation! I give this place 5 hrs daily for #kapoorandsons to look the part. My room at Taj Gateway,” the “Do Dooni Chaar” actor tweeted.

Directed by Shakun Batra, “Kapoor and Sons” also features actors Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra, along with Pakistani actor Fawad Khan.
