If you are a heroine, then you have to be very careful about what you eat and in what quantity.

One must have a lot of juices and fluids. But Nithya Menon says she includes ghee in her diet to look glamourous.

She says she does not eat without ghee and even talks about all the benefits that ghee does to your system.

Apparently, one would be active in general and have good metabolism with good digestive power. She says ghee also helps in enhancing one’s memory.

As for speaking Telugu, she says where she stays in Bangalore, there happen to be many Telugu people and she says her parents are very good at speaking the language.

Well, we hope she gets films with top Telugu heroes very soon.

Actress Katrina Kaif, who is attending the 68th Cannes International Film Festival as a brand ambassador of L’Oréal Paris, made for a picture perfect moment with Hollywood actress Julianne Moore here.

Katrina posed with her L’Oréal Paris co-ambassador Moore just before heading for her debut on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet.

The two walked the red carpet on Wednesday night, and they spoke there for approximately five to seven minutes.

“They spoke about the number of films that Katrina has done and how she learned Hindi for Bollywood. Not only this, they also complimented each other on the dress and makeup that they donned for the red carpet,” said a source.

The “Bang Bang!” actress, who is currently busy shooting for “Fitoor” and “Jagga Jasoos”, will be shooting with Moore for L’Oréal Paris on Thursday and spoke about how they were looking forward to it.

The film festival began on Wednesday and will go on till May 24.

Moore, who won the Best Actress Award at the Cannes International Film Festival 2014 but was unable to receive it last year, was presented with the honour at the ongoing edition’s Mini-Palme.

Employees making the best of KCR-Naidu rivalry

If mom doesn’t grant a wish, get it approved by dad, and then mom will grant something more. This is the trick which children follow at home to get what they want. The analogy may look different, but more or less this is what happening now in AP and Telangana, unmindful of any future consequences in terms of finances.

The CM of Telangana, KCR has been doing his best when it comes to playing the ‘rich state’ card and has been doling out wishes one after the other. The big strain on exchequer started when employees had demanded a 43 percent fitment and KCR had granted them and as a prestige issue, even Naidu fulfilled their wish. This again is a heavy burden for AP.

Now with RTC employees demanding the same after dillydallying their wishes have also been granted. Sensing that KCR is getting ready to accept their demands, Naidu advanced his announcement to afternoon.Hence, in the evening when KCR announced this,  he gave one percent more. Now rather than welfare and long—term assessment, everything has become an issue of KCR-Naidu rivalry.

Tomorrow just like RTC many other corporations may ask for the same and there is no doubt that employees welfare is important but if they take advantages of Naidu-KCR rivalry and keep demanding one after the other, then things may reach an ugly end. Hence it is all the more important that the two CM’s quickly sense this game and put an end to such practices.

Dasari creates record with Balayya movie

Share

dasari

After a long time, Dasari Narayana Rao directed a big hero in the form of Balakrishna in ‘Param Veera Chakra’.

Naturally, there were a lot of expectations on the movie but it turned out to be a disaster at the box-office. In fact, after ‘Param Veera Chakra’, many people stopped watching movies. There is an interesting fact associated with this movie.

To date, ‘Param Veer Chakra’ remains the only Balayya film in recent times whose satellite rights have not been sold.

No channel has found the courage to buy the movie and tamper with their future. That is quite a record of sorts, for Balayya’s films do pretty decent business and fetch good satellite prices as well. Hence, the credit for the movie’s satellite rights being unsold should go to Dasari.

Glam girl Shruti Haasan is hot and she is really good when it comes to doing some really awesome dance moves. She is also a singer.

But she says there was a time when she dreaded to do comedy.

In fact, she says she remembers her dad saying that doing comedy was the toughest job for any actor.

But Shruti did do an out and out comedy role in Balupu and she gives all credit to her co-star Ravi Teja.

Since Ravi Teja is very good with his comic timing and Shruti says she got to understand how to pull off comic scenes by watching Ravi Teja and Brahmanandam rehearsing.

She says Ravi Teja helped her a lot and reassured her that all human beings have a comedy angle to them and it is totally up to them as to how they go about using it.

Apparently, Shruti was told that she has to make the audience laugh without she laughing.

But thanks to Ravi Teja, she could overcome her inhibitions and act freely says Shruti.

And now, Shruti says she wants to do a full-length comedy role. She adds that she will do it very soon.

Megastar’s Return Linked To 2019 Elections?

Share

chiru10

Well, at times it is pretty tough to prove yourself where you have lost once.

Right now, megastar Chiranjeevi is in a similar situation. Of course, there is no denying that he is the megastar when it comes to the film industry, but he is a zero in politics.

Given his age and the fact that he hasn’t acted in a while, coming back to films is also risky.

However, it is being said that his friends advised him to get back and do the 150th film so that he can regain his past glory.

And if that happens, he can also get a grip on the politics in Andhra Pradesh, he is said to have been advised.

In Andhra Pradesh, Kapus are in majority and their representation is minimal in Telangana.

If he gets at least one hit every year till 2019, then he can easily win over people and make it to the CM’s post.

At least, that’s the plan his friends have for him. Also, that would help him make up for all that he lost in terms of fame, success and money in the film industry.

Of course, only time will tell who will get into the CM’s post in 2015, but till then it would be best for the mega star to act in films, feel his close friends.

Lion Movie Review – 2/5

Share

After delivering blockbuster with Legend, Nandamuri Balakrishna is back with Lion. Teaming up with actress Trisha for the first-time and first-timer director Satyadev, Balayya dons the hat of CBI officer raising curiosity on the film. Given that it’s his 98th film in filmography and first film after he was elected as MLA for Hindupur constituency, the film garnered lot of hype, buzz. Let’s check out whether the 159-minute 14 seconds odd film lived up to it or not.

Story:

A sincere CBI officer Bose (Balakrishna) was injured by Chief Minister Bhardwaj (Prakash Raj) and he lives in coma for more than an year. Later he recovers to find himself some where and people around him calling him by the name Godse. He comes back to Hyderabad in search of his stolen identity and once again confronts with the Chief Minister. Rest of the story is who he traces back his past and saves his family.

Performances:

Nandamuri Balakrishna always brings out the best in him when the characters challenge him. It happened with Simha and Legend in the recent times. But neither Bose nor Godse have that depth and challenge. Both Trisha and Radhika Apte were mere glam dolls and have nothing to do with the story.

The romantic scenes between Balayya and Trisha looked very odd at this age and they could have been easily avoided. Prakash Raj is okay as a villain. Adithya Menon or Ravi Varma looked boring. M S Narayana, Posani Krishna Murali and Ali were too loud and were overacting. Suresh, Geetha, Jayasudha, Chalapathi Rao were wasted in poorly etched roles. Indraja barely had any scenes in the film.

Technical Performances:

Satyadeva is the main culprit behind the film’s fiasco. The story of the film is almost a stone age one and it gets further worse stuffed with predictable scenes which we have seen many times in many films. The film starts off well and plummets immediately after that. The interval bang is the only highlight in the first half. The second half also run on similar lines but will have few good action sequences here and there. The director even took the mass audience for granted by using too much of rope work in the fights and lengthy dialogues.

Prasad’s Camera work is fine. Mani Sharma had delivered an ordinary album but all the songs were shot well. The back ground score is top notch. Editor should have easily chopped off a good 20 minutes from the film. SLV Cinemas’ Production Values are good enough.

Plus Points:

  • Balayya’s Performance as Godse
  • Interval Bang
  • Back Ground Score

Minus Points:

  • Forced Comedy
  • Awkward romance between Balayya and Trisha
  • Stone Age old story and predictable scenes.

Final Say:

Barring few thrills here and there for fans to relish, Balakrishna’s Lion had nothing novel or interesting. The movie is totally let down by debut director who was struck with the mind of late 1980s. Give it a try if you are a hardcore fan of the actor!

First Look: Kamal Haasan, Gauthami in Papanasam

Share

kamal

Unfazed by the mixed response to his last venture Uttama Villain, versatile actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan has moved on to his next film – Papanasam – which happens to  be the remake of blockbuster Drushyam. Kamal and his off-screen wife Gauthami ( partner of live-in relationship) are reprising the roles of Mohanlal and Meena in the original Drishyam. The first poster of Papanasam has been unveiled. It is a heart-warming picture of an ordinary middle-class family riding on a bike. The film which also features Asha Sharath and Gautham, has Nivedha Thomas playing the role of Kamal’s daughter.

Kamal’s wife Gauthami is returning to the silver screen after a gap of almost 20 years and will be seen as Kamal’s on-screen wife.

Made within a shoe-string budget, the original turned out to be blockbuster and was also remade in Telugu starring Venkatesh, Meena in the lead roles. Jeetu Joseph who directed the original is also wielding the megaphone for Tamil remake.

posani

When the name of Posani Krishna Murali strikes your mind it will only think about aggressive talks and his emotions in a very intensified way. He has now taken dig into the politics between the different media channels during a film event. He said that the publicity charges are given only  to the channels like Tv 9 and NTV, he questioned the survival of others. He asked “How would Small Producers survive? What about other channels like MAA, ETV, Sakshi, HMTV and Others. I am pleading all the Producers to be united, allow media to be united and save the people working in 24 crafts.”

He pleaded the crowd not do any kind of politics in the media stream and bring divisions among them. He said  “I have no connection with this matter. But, I’m speaking about this just because I am part of this Industry for the past 28 years.” However, these comments of Posani will surely make everybody think about this.

Dasari’s ‘item’ comments on Top Heroines!

Share

dasari1

One of the Tollywood’s veteran director, Darshakaratna Dasari Narayana Rao made a few shocking comments about the present days heroines. He literally said that there are no heroines in the industry. He said that these days heroines are not actresses but are only capable of doing skin show and club dances.

Taking a dig into the past, Dasari said that for example Disco Shanti, Silk Smita were known only to do item songs while now-a-days even heroines do these item songs. Dasari made these comments during an event in Ravindra Bharathi. He bluntly said that every song in movies these days look like an item one.

Dasari also mentioned that in the past heroine’s acting career span was quite long while now it may last even for few months. So, what do you think about these comments?
