Another Step Towards ‘Bangaru Telangana’
Immediately after coming to power, the TRS government reopened the banned toddy shops, unmindful of the vociferous protests from civil society to such a move. That will now pale into insignificance at the latest proposal of the government.
It is now planning to reintroduce sale of ‘arrack’, an alcoholic spirit made from the sap of coco, palm or rice.
The government’s move, however, has angered several sections of people as no government had dared to re-introduce arrack after it was banned in undivided AP in 1993 owing to widespread social unrest.
“Re-introduction of arrack sale would be a disastrous move leading to a big social problem. The government should never venture into such a dangerous exercise,” said Niranjan Lal Agarwal, president of Andhra Pradesh Distilleries Association.
Confirming the development, officials said that the Telangana government was studying the Maharashtra model where arrack is sold in the name of “desi daru“. He justified the move saying it was aimed at regulating the sale of illicitly distilled liquor that is rampant across Telangana.
The government can’t justify such a move on the basis of raising finances either, for the State is blessed with a surplus budget.

Interesting news started flowing about Chiranjeevi’s 150th film one after the other. It is confirmed that Puri Jagannadh will be directing the prestigious project and it is titled as ‘Auto Johnny’. The film will have a grand launch on August 22nd on the occasion of Chiranjeevi’s Birthday. The Megastar is turning 60 that day.
The regular shooting will begin from September 2nd, which happens to the Birthday of Powerstar Pawan Kalyan. Mega Power Star Ram Charan will begin a new innings by producing the film. The makers are planning to shoot non-stop for the film and release it for Sankranthi 2016. BVS Ravi, the director of Gopichand’s Wanted will be providing story for the film while Puri Jagannadh will be penning the dialogues.
According to the sources of APHerald.com, Nayantara is finalized as the heroine in this project. The movie will not have a social messages but is a complete Mass Entertainer for which Chiranjeevi as a Megastar is famous for.

Sampoornesh Babu’s Dandayatra Postponed
Sampoornesh Babu’s Singham 123 managed to garner good hype so far, thanks to Sampoornesh Babu’s craze on internet and the hype created by the film. Singham 123 was supposed to release on May 22nd but is now postponed.
The makers say the delay in CG work is the reason for the postponement. Also, Manchu Manoj is getting married on May 20th. Vishnu, the producer of the film will not be able to concentrate on the film promotions if it is releasing on May 22nd.
And so they have decided to postpone it to May 28th. Sampoornesh Babu hogged the limelight with his debut flick Hrudaya Kaleyam and he is now slowly creating a niche for himself on the silver screen with his satirical roles.
Singham 123 comes with a caption ‘India’s Biggest Cop Movie’ and is directed by a new comer, Akshat Sharma.
Ranbir Kapoor: Katrina and I to Marry End of 2016
Actor Ranbir Kapoor has finally confirmed his relationship with actress Katrina Kaif after years of dodging media speculations and also revealed he will marry her by the end of next year.
Ranbir, who is usually guarded about his personal life and his closeness with Katrina even as they continued to be spotted together, opened up about the actress in an interview to Anandabazar Patrika.
“This year both of us are extremely busy, so there won’t be any time for the marriage. We have planned to tie the knot by the end of next year. Both of us have agreed on that,” Ranbir said.
The actor further went on to say, “Both of us are sure about our relationship and if we don’t open about it now, it would be showing disrespect to the relationship. I am 33 now and it is time I have my family. Even Katrina wants that. I have grown up in a family where film is everything. So, I know the importance of gossip and my funda is simple. When there is gossip, try not to react and it is advisable not to think too much about yourself.”
The couple came close while filming 2009 hit film Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, their first movie together.
They later co-starred in Prakash Jha’s Raajneeti(2010). Ranbir and Katrina will be next seen in Jagga Jasoos, slated to release next year.

Though she hasn’t quite spoken about her relationship openly, recently, Tapsee has hinted that she is in a relationship recently. Of course, there have been rumours for some time now and Tapsee has been denying them all along.
But a fresh chapter in her love story has begun and it is being said that she is in love with a badminton player.
And he is not of Indian origin. Mathias Bo happens to be a Danish badminton player and though no one knows how love happened between them, they are definitely an item say industry sources.
When asked about it, Tapsee neither denied it nor agreed that she was seeing someone. Well, the smart girl countered saying ‘why should I tell you?’ And she added that she will discuss the matter with her parents alone.

Reddy’s Permanent Goodbye To Congress?
During his tenure as CM, Kiran Kumar Reddy faced problems normally faced by a CM in nine or ten years. Every day was a challenge for him.
Although in 2013, he received an award from the prestigious ‘India Today’ group for ‘Best performing State in governance in India’, he will still go down in history as the CM of AP at the time of bifurcation.
Kiran’s recent statement that he is writing a book on AP’s bifurcation and all the key players involved in it has raised interesting questions.
Clearly, going by his words, Kiran is going to expose the Congress, TDP and other key players for their role in the bifurcation. If that indeed happens, then it would be a permanent goodbye from Kiran to the Congress.

Kiran himself went on to occupy the highest post of CM in the Congress regime. And how ironic that the CM post itself is responsible for severing his ties with the Party which gave it to him in the first place.
