Drushyam Creates A Unique Record

The Hindi remake of Malayalam blockbuster Drishyam, has been released to superhit reports today. Starring Ajay Devgan, Tabu, Shriya in the main leads, Drishyam is being lauded for its gripping screenplay and the director managed to retain the thrills offered by its original.

With this success, Drishyam, has created a unique feat of becoming a superhit in all the languages it has been remade. So far, Drishyam has been remade in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi and talks are currently on for a possible Bengali remake. The hero of the Telugu version, Victory Venkatesh took to his Facebook and wished the Hindi team a grand success.

Drishyam was released in 2013 and stood as the industry hit in Malayalam. Currently, the film’s Tamil remake, Papanasam starring Kamal Haasan, is running to packed houses. Earlier, Rajinikanth’s Chandramukhi, which too was originally made in Malayalam as Manichitrathazhu, ended up becoming a blockbuster in all the south Indian languages and also in Bollywood and Bengali.

BJP To Attack TRS To Defeat MIM!

The Telangana BJP has chalked out a strategy for GHMC elections likely to be held by end of this year.The party would organize ward-wise meetings from August 10 to highlight the failures of TRS government so that it would help the party to defeat the MIM in the elections.

BJP floor leader in Telangana Assembly Dr K Lakshman said an electoral strategy had been chalked out to strengthen the party from booth level to face the GHMC elections which are likely to be held in December as per the direction of the High Court.

The main contest would be between BJP and MIM as the ruling TRS party has a tacit understanding with the latter, he added.

Lamenting that MIM leaders for making provocative and objectionable speeches, the BJP MLA wanted to know the stand of the ruling TRS on the remark of Hyderabad MP and MIM president Asaduddin Owaisi on capital punishment of Yakub Memon, who was hanged to death on Thursday.

Why the TRS was not condemning the remarks of Asaduddin Owaisi, he questioned.To a question, Dr Lakshman said his party’s main rival would be MIM and not either TRS or Congress.

Ex-Speaker Meira Kumar To Contest Warangal Bypoll?

If the Congress high command has its way, former Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar will contest as party candidate for Warangal Lok Sabha seat in the forthcoming by-elections.

According reports, the party high command had asked Warangal District Congress Committee to pass a resolution requesting Meira Kumar to contest the by-election from Warangal LS seat.

Accordingly, they sent the resolution to the high command last week. In all probability, her candidature will be discussed at the TPCC meet in a day or two.

Daughter of former Deputy Prime Minister Babu Jagjivan Ram, Meira Kumar has several advantages: first, she is a woman and hence, her political rivals would think twice before launching an attack on her.

Secondly, she is from Madiga community, which is predominant in Warangal.

Thirdly, Meira Kumar enjoys the credibility of playing a crucial in getting the AP AP Reorganisation Bill-2014 passed thereby forming the Telangana State.

She was the one who had conducted the voting on the bill by closing all the doors and shutting down the live telecast.

And lastly, if Meira Kumar is fielded, all the local Congress leaders would work unitedly for her victory; otherwise, there is every possibility of an internal sabotage by the party leaders against one another.

Disappeared Malaysian Flight Debris Found after 18 months?

One of the mysterious disasters in aviation history may be getting close to be getting resolved, if reports are to be believed. Sources say that after one and half year, suspected debris from this plane has reportedly washed onto the shore of French Reunion Island in South Indian Ocean region.

Located around 3000 miles from India and around 2000 miles to the west of Australia, this remote island is under French control and two days back, a wing section believed to be that of the Boeing plane model washed here to the beach which stunned residents of this tiny archipelago.

Experts from Malaysia and Australia reportedly rushed to the island while the French government also reportedly sent the samples for testing to see whether it was indeed from the missing Boeing plane. The plane carried more than 250 passengers of various nationalities and was flying from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysian capital to Chinese capital Beijing in March 2014.

Most of the travellers were Chinese citizens and the plane’s disappearance sparked a massive manhunt seen never before in the history with hundreds of ships and reconnaissance plans still searching for traces of any place in a vast area of unexplored ocean between Australia and Antarctica.

Shameless AP MPs insult people

Union Minister for State Indrajit Singh, inside Parliament made statement making it clear that Government cannot accord special status not only to Andhra Pradesh but also to any other state. He announced that Government can give 42% funds to states after the recommendations of Financial Committee.

When the answer is such a blunt no from Union Government, how will MPs with self-respect behave? Anyone would have responded in a vehement manner. During Telangana movement, Telangana MPs used to protest storming into the well.

However after the announcement, MPs from Bhiar, Odisha, Rajasthan were up in their arms and protested furiously rushing into the well shouting slogans. They demanded special status and raised slogans against the Union Government.

But to the shock of all, MPs from Andhra Pradesh didn’t even move from their seats. They didn’t even support to the protesting MPs from other seats. They were just enjoying the protests of Bihar, Odisha and Rajastan MPs. Wonder whether Pawan Kalyan viewed this scene. Shame on AP MPs for insulting the trust of the people.

But films like ‘Roy’ (Hindi film featuring Arjun Rampal, Ranbir Kapoor and Jacqueline) which are shot at that place are colossal disasters. Fans are now wondered if Koratala Siva too shot at the same flop palace.

Well, flop is something that’s in the mind, it’s sentimental. Even if a film is shot in extra-ordinary locales, it would meet a disastrous fate if content is bad. As Koratala Siva says that he’s extremely confident of his content, there is now way we could talk such flop sentiments now.

The family of Anam Brothers is a dominant force in Nellore since the past few decades. This has reached to the extent that Nellore Brothers dared to to rechristen Sai Baba Temple as AC Sai Baba Temple using their influence.
AC Subbareddy (Anam Brothers uncle) is the first person from Anam Family to make foray into politics.

Whenever Anam Brothers were in power, They made sure that all the key structures in Nellore were named after either their Uncle AC Subbareddy or Father Anam Venkat Reddy who served as Minister. In the same manner, Rythu Market in Nellore-Madras Bus Stand Centre got the name ‘AC Subbareddy Kuragayala Market Samudayamu’.

A Sai Baba Temple was erected 15 years ago just before this Rythu Bazar and it has been receiving huge donations off late due to the heavy floating of people in the locality. After completion of the renovation works recently, The name of the temple has been rechristened as A.C Sai Baba Temple and a massive publicity campaign is being launched on the eve of Guru Pournami to popularize the new name.

As the development drew criticism, Temple Authorities have been trying to downplay it by saying the letters ‘A’ & ‘C’ were placed before Saibaba just because two Air Conditioners have been set up in the temple for the sake of devotees. Ali Gives ‘Full Picture’ On Suma & Samantha

Super talented actor and comedian Ali is in a tricky spot from a while. As he speaks with little double entendre while talking with anchor Suma, as he called Samantha’s ‘waist’ is like Benz Circle, as he addresses heroines as ‘philanther phagdis’ there were huge remarks on him. Never the persons who are taking his comments have literally complained about Ali, but those are around him are going uproar about them.

Speaking about these things, Ali tried to clarify. “Suma is like my sister. We’ve a very cordial relationship off the screen. But while hosting a show on the stage, audiences and organisers are expecting something from us and we’re delivering it“, says Ali, calling a spade as a spade. Also he pointed out that unnecessarily media and others are creating unwanted hype, but the actuals are different from anyone would predict. “They imagine and write whatever they like. That day Suma requested me backstage to handle the whole event because she wants to leave as her son’s birthday party has to be attended. As I don’t host shows for free, she made a request to me“, he said. But don’t think Ali as a commercial guy, he sends those cheques he receive for anchoring to his Trust. “I’m not an anchor, i’m an actor. So, that money is being spent on philanthropy” Ali concludes.

Anyway, what about those comments on Samantha, Mr Ali? “She herself stated that I’m her good friend. What else you want to hear“, he rebukes. No doubt his clarity is like a ‘full picture’ about the whole controversies surrounding him, and hope these comments stop the remarks.

Now, KCR Offers ‘Pure Toddy’ In Telangana

Here’s some good news for all the toddy lovers in Telangana. In a high-level meeting at the secretariat this afternoon, KCR said that the recently announced excise policy will come into effect from October. The TRS Chief also said that the government will serve ‘pure toddy’ in the government toddy shops that are set up across the state.

KCR also instructed the excise officials to curtail the illicit liquor (gudumba) units in Hyderabad’s Old City and across the state. KCR also suggested the concerned department officials to prevent the illegal liquor imports info Telangana from neighboring states and from AP in particular.

In order to see the government toddy shops flourish, KCR took a decision to plant five crore palm trees by the banks of all the lakes in Telangana. The Chief Minister further stated that the government will set up is own distilleries and that all the popular brands’ liquor will be manufactured in Telangana and that this will create employment opportunities for localites.

‘Should I Change?,’ Jagan Asks Colleagues

Nearly after one-and-half years after the poll drubbing, Opposition leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy seems to have waken up now and trying to reconcile. As per the reports, YS Jagan Reddy has shot a volley of questions to his fellow colleagues and senior leaders of party on Thursday which said to have stunned them. “Should I Change? Should I change my political strategy? Are there any faults within me? Should I correct them?,” Jagan Reddy said to have questioned senior leaders.

With such questions coming from none other than Jagan, senior leaders said to have puzzled initially. However, with in sometime, they realised and apparently advised Jagan. As per the hearsay, the leaders have advised Jagan to come down on Odarpu Yatras, Condolence meets as they told him that it’s sending wrong signals in people. They have told him to focus on the people’s problems rather on these yatras. It’s also learnt that they decided to intensify the demand on Special Category Status to AP.

“We should not restrict ourselves on the Odarpu Yatras in villages, districts as they would send wrong signals. Along with them, we should focus on the woes of public,” a senior leader apparently told Jagan Reddy to which Jagan said to have reacted positively. According to media reports, YSR Congress top brass decided to launch a protest in New Delhi on August 10 demanding Special Category Status to AP. Jantar Mantar is fixed as the venue for the protest.

In the closed-door meeting, the YSRCP leaders raised the comments of Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi during his recent visit to the state. Rahul had questioned Jagan’s sincerity in fighting for the Special Category Status to AP. Jagan Reddy asked the leaders to make preparations for one-day protest at Jantar Mantar on Aug 10 after which he along with YSRCP MPs, MLAs would meet the Central Ministers.

For this protest, Jagan asked them to arrange two special trains to New Delhi. However, several leaders expressed their suspicion about the non-attendance of MLAs for the protest. Jagan apparently gave clear indications to ask all the people representatives of party to participate in the protest. Looks like, Jagan is on track finally. It’s better late than never Jagan.
