On the fourth day of the Godavari Maha Pushkaralu, lakhs of devotees performed the holy dip in the Godavari waters and also performed several rituals remembering their ancestors.

Reiterating the powerful impact of visual medium and particularly cinema, a couple of interesting incidents that took place during the ongoing Maha Pushkaralu in the East and West Godavri districts have shared strikingly similar emotional visuals of the current blockbuster hit, Baahubali.

Couple of Baahubali’s posters, Sivagami’s hand carrying her baby in her hand and swimming across the waters and Sivagami carrying both her children have made a lasting impression among the audiences. These visuals had great emotional depth and they formed the emotional crux of the film’s story.

Now, couple of similar incidents where a lady carrying her two children just like Ramyakrishna did as Sivagami in Kovvuru and a father carrying his child in his hand, just like the first released poster of Baahubali in which a hand carrying a baby in the waters, made a splash at a pushkar ghat in Rajahmundry.

He may be called ‘Mental Krishna’ by those who ridicule his funny antics and hysteric acting, but one of the leading actors in Tollywood, Posani Krishna Murali, has touched everyone with his emotional gesture towards the acid torture victim, Pratyusha. This afternoon, Posani spoke to the media and said that he has been deeply moved by the tortured teenager and that he will adopt her.

Posani assured that he will stand by Pratyusha throughout her life and that he will bear all her educational expenses and even get her married. The emotional actor further said that he will support Pratyusha until she stands firm on her feet. Posani revealed that only his wife knows how much he cried after knowing about how brutally Pratyusha’s stepmom and father tortured her.

Saying that we won’t remain as human beings if we simply watch this kind of news on TV and get back to our own worlds, Posani also said that if he was given power to punish Pratyusha’s parents, he would have hanged them to death the day they were caught. Meanwhile, Pratyusha is slowly recovering from her wounds at a private hospital in Hyderabad.

Theaters across every nook and corners of the Telugu states are drenched neck deep with the Baahubali collections storm. The film has literally wiped off almost all the existing records and is only looking to increase the record margin by double. In the Rest of India segment too, Baahubali storm has been phenomenal and the film has already collected a staggering 41 crores gross.

However, looks like Baahubali’s dream run will be severely affected by the blockbuster reports Salman’s fresh release Bajarangi Bhaijaan released to this morning. Already, several screens that were allotted for Baahubali until yesterday have been replaced by Bajarangi Bhaijaan and the trend continued to a major extent even in several areas of Nizam, where Salman’s craze is humongous.

On the other hand, not many know that Bajarangi Bhaijaan’s story was penned by none other than SS Rajamouli’s father and the story writer of Baahubali, Vijayendra Prasad. While it is amusing to see the legendary writer tasting phenomenal successes with back to back blockbusters within a week, hardcore fans of Baahubali are slightly disappointed with the fact that Salman’s film is now acting as a major hindrance to Baahubali collections.

Just as the film continues its strong run at the ticket windows with decent collections even on the weekdays, Baahubali has been drenched with praises from none other than the numero uno star of Tollywood, Powerstar Pawan Kalyan. With Mahesh Babu already showering Baahubali team with unlimited praises, Pawan is the latest star to come out in open and appreciate the film’s success after its release.

Expressing his amazement after watching the film, Pawan said that Baahubali is a landmark film in the history of Indian Cinema and that SS Rajamouli has made the film exceptionally well. Pawan even said that never even in his dreams that he imagined such a wonderful film like Baahubali will ever be made on the Indian screen.

Not stopping with this, Pawan also showered praises on the film’s antagonist Rana Daggubati. The Powerstar said that no one else but Rana could only portray Bhallaladeva’s character with such a ferocious aura and impeccable performance. Well, no doubt that Pawan’s appreciation will give an extra boost to the already excited Baahubali team.

All these days Rajamouli has made sure that no single detail of “Baahubali” will come out, except the teasers he released and the talks his actors made. Now that the film has hit cinemas and continuing its storm at box office with more than 250 crores gross collection to its credit, some insider info is quickly coming out.

To bring a pan-Indian look to the movie, Rajamouli was hell bent on casting top actors from all the tinsel towns. Though he says his characters should demand actors, it’s the other way round too. For the highly powerful and terrific role of ‘Sivagami’ played by Ramya Krishna, we do know that she’s not the first choice.

Our makers have approached the likes of Sridevi, Sushmita Sen and others for the role. While others have give some valid reasons to not sign the flick, According to gossipmongers, senior actress Sridevi has quoted 6 crores to sign the dotted line.

Though the film is high budgeted, that doesn’t mean makers will dole out budgets quite foolishly. For that reason we hear Rajamouli and Co have opted out from the choice of roping in Sridevi and finally banked on Ramya Krishna to do the needful. Now it looks like there is no replacement for Ramya when it comes to Sivagami.
