‘Safety Not Guaranteed’ fame Colin Trevorrow’s directorial venture ‘Jurrasic World’ shattered the records in the Opening Weekend with a mammoth $204.6 million in USA alone. It now stands only next to ‘The Avengers’ which emerged as the highest opener in the history ($207.4 million) after it hit the screens in 2012. The other records broken by ‘Jurrasic World’ were ‘Biggest Opening Day Ever’ ($82.8 million) and ‘All Time Biggest PG-13 Launch’.
In reality, Trade Circles never expected ‘Jurrasic World’ to have such a huge opening. All the predictions were in the range of $125 million to $135 million opening weekend. Craze for the ‘Jurassic Park’ franchise, Universal Pictures exceptional marketing strategy and Awesome Promotional Material (trailers, posters) have rewritten history.
Universal Pictures is yet to reveal its Global figures but initial reports suggest response have been overwhelming across all the 66 International territories.

Wife Quarrels with Top Director on Heroine Linkup?
According to grapevine, one of the top Telugu director’s wife had a spat with him in a star hotel recently. It is learnt that she is reportedly miffed with her director-husband’s behaviour as he’s not turning up to their home. Allegedly, he’s spending quality time with a heroine in the star hotel and not visiting their house.
Losing cool on her husband, the director’s wife had recently visited the star hotel where he and heroine were seen together. As per the version of onlookers, she created a big scene in the hotel and told the director that she wouldn’t leave the hotel until and unless he comes to the home.
Apparently, she stayed for nearly 5 hours in the star hotel and didn’t give up until few of hotel staff involved. Later the director pacified her and sent her home and he too visited the house.The big drama unraveled raised many eyeballs and took many by surprise.

Rai is filming Sanjay Gupta’s action-thriller Jazbaa, co-starring Shabana Azmi and Irrfan Khan, which will mark her screen comeback after a five-year absence from the screen.
She has committed to star alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma in Karan Johar’s romantic drama Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
Rai will also play the lead role of Dalbir Kaur in a biopic of Sarabjit Singh.
T-Cong Leaders Want Narasimhan To Go!
One can understand the demand of AP Chief Minister and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu for removal of Governor E S L Narasimhan on the ground that the latter was partisan towards the Telangana Rashtra Samithi government.
But surprisingly, Telangana Congress leader and former minister Marri Shashidhar Reddy also wants the Governor to step down. However, the reason is different.
He asked Narsimhan whether he was justified in continuing in his position as he had failed to protect the Constitution with regard to anti-defection law.
Shashidhar Reddy said the issue of Commercial Taxes Minister and Sanath Nagar MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav, who took oath as a minister before his resignation was accepted by the Speaker, has become a hot topic even in the national capital. He said the Governor is expected to ensure the constitutional bodies initiate action against Talasani.
He also urged the Speaker to reveal whether he received Talasani Srinivas Yadav’s resignation letter or not.
“The entire Telangana people are looking at the Speaker whether he could accept the resignation of Talasani in case he received resignation letter”, he asserted.

Now the news is that the upcoming movie of Mahesh Babu, Srimanthudu that is budgeted upto Rs 40 crores has also sold its telecast rights of audio launch to a leading channel for Rs 1 crore. Presently, Srimanthudu’s post-production work is being done and may set the screens on fire July 17th world-wide. However, the date may be changed keeping in mind the release of Baahubali on July 10th. After the disastrous flop of Aagadu, Mahesh is hoping a hit.
