Anil Ambani, is looking forward to sell a controlling stake of worth 80% in his multiplex Big Cinemas business to Carnival Films. IT is coming out that after months of negotiations, Big Cinemas would be sold to Carnival Films, a Kochi based agri trading company for Rs 725 crores. 

Reliance however will hold minor stake and discussions are going on for a complete 100 percent buyout. Clear picture will be emerging in couple of weeks. Carnival will get access to 258 movie screens of Big Cinemas across India. 

Big Cinemas is the third largest film exhibitor in India. Carnival Films spokesperson declined to comment on the deal.

Of late, detractors are reaching to any extent to spit venom. Coming to film critics, they are not even leaving a hit movie like Race Gurram to promote their agenda. Just to fill up columns, it seems like they want to term this biggest hit of the year as a ‘fluke’ hit in the name of criticism. Will anyone really dare to say that this Surender Reddy directorial is a hit by stroke of luck? 

Race Gurram is one movie where the word ‘screenplay’ got honoured to a maximum if we talk about recent Telugu movies. Other than Manam and Karthikeya, no other movie would match such a screenplay brilliance with this Allu Arjun, Shruti Haasan starrer. Right from conflict between brothers to heroine’s silent therapy sequence, villain’s introduction to Kill Bill Pandey sequence, every portion looks as novel as it is. 

Also songs deserve a special mention, as the creative workflow that went behind conceiving pieces like Cinema Choopista Maava and Down Down Duppa is terrific. Both songs have different creative themes, different style dancing, folk and dub-step dances and a different visual altogether. A right mix of talent and creativity from Surender Reddy, cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa and composer Thaman helped delivering a thunderous output. 

When these so-called critics are in two minds during release of the flick, it was audiences who made it a hit as they got thrilled by the overall mastery of the flick. Still, you call Race Gurram a fluke it?

We hear from close circles that ace director Sekhar Kammula has taken up the job of actor for an upcoming mega movie. He will be seen in a guest appearance in debuting mega hero Varun Tej’s upcoming flick “Mukunda” that will hit cinemas on December 24th.

“Yesterday director Sekhar Kammula attended the shoot of Mukunda, to do a guest role. With this part, the whole of Mukunda go wrapped up”, a source said. From a time, Sekhar is literally off the circuits as his much hyped remake of Kahaani, Anamika failed to score at box-office. Even before that, he tasted bitter with Life Is Beautiful. 

He is currently busy with remake plans of Happy Days in Bollywood, while sources say he is working on couple of scripts. Coming to this acting cameo, probably his proximity with director Srikanth Addala might has lead him to take up the role.

“If you write an affair with one particular at a time, then people may believe its authenticity. But if a guy is written everyday by getting linked with a different heroine, then there is no point in talking about such articles and their publishers”, says Rana, while sharing thoughts with close friends. Bunny revealed that he is not going to concentrate big time on dances in every song and will be confining to limit it to 1-2 songs per movie. “Earlier I used to dance for all the songs in a film. It took heavy toll on my body and I sustained several injuries too.

Now that I am a married man and a father too. I have decided to slow down on dances. I will only have big dances in two songs of my films. One in first half and other in the second half. I am sure those two songs will be enough to satisfy my fans” said Bunny in an interview. Allu Arjun is currently on a high with the Super Success of his last film, Race Gurram. 

He got his first 50 Crore share film with Race Gurram and later complimented it with a personal bonus with his wife, Sneha giving birth to a baby boy. Allu Arjun is currently shooting for his untitled film directed by Trivikram Srinivas. There are superb expectations on the film as Trivikram just delivered an industry hit in the form of Attarintiki Daredi.

Well, the news of the sudden demise of the great music director Chakri has shocked the industry once for all. One of the top singer, Kousalya who share a good bond with Chakri has revealed that he was unwell from way before. She also shared the words of Chakri in their last meeting, “Chakri garu had called me few days ago and asked me to be part of New Year event on Dec 31. 

He had asked me to sing songs in the show to which I agreed immediately.” She also added” “I met him during the fund raiser, Memu Saitham event. He was suffering from Aayasam. He also looked a bit depressed. When we all were going for dinner during the event, I asked him to join us but he gently refused to eat there.” 

She also said about his diet “He said he’s following diet and confined to only steamed vegetables which he brought from his home. I was happy that he’s focusing on his diet, health. But in between, death has taken him away from us.” She told that he is a very friendly person and shocked to know about his sudden death.
