Chiru Opens Up On PRP Merger WIth Congress

Share
Mega Star Chiranjeevi after floating Praja Rajyam party announcing his grand entry into politics shocked all by merging the same with Congress. Though many years passed after the merger and Chiru becoming the Union Minister, people suspect he sold his party on quid pro quo basis to become Minister and critise him for the same. Mega Star Chiranjeevi never spoke in detail about the merger though even his brother Power Star Pawan Kalyan differed with him and parted ways.
However today speaking to media after garlanding Baba Saheb Ambedkar on his death anniversary, he said he merged his party with Congress only to deliver economic and social justice to all. He said he witnessed social and economic justice implemented in Congress party and felt only it will deliver it to people and so decided to merge his PRP.

Movie :Rendu Rellu Naluge
Rating :2.25/5
Cast: Harsha, Mohan, Christine Miller
Directed by: Dharma Donepudi

Release Date: 2014-12-05
Like never-before, Tollywood is flooded with small-ticket films. While few turned out dark horses, many have vanished without a trace in no time. With 2014 is all set to be wrapped up, a slew of small-budget films are jostling to test their luck at the ticket windows.
Rendu Rellu Naluge, which just-released this week alongside 10 other releases, falls in the same line. Hollywood actress Christine Miller (of ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ fame) is making her T-town debut, the movie managed to grab few eye-balls. Let’s check out our verdict.
Story :
Simply put, it’s a tale of two friends Shankar (Mohan) and Abhimanyu (Harsha) living in United States as expats. Due to dramatic and sudden turn of events, the duo lost their legal status and compelled to settle for menial jobs. Shankar and Abhimanyu are now on a mission to get a Green Card of their own and then they confront Natasha (Christine Miller). How does the duo cope up with the consequences?
Performances:
The film’s principal cast comes through flying colours. Harsha, who essayed the role of Abhimanyu, is perfect in his part. Mohan as Shankar delivers decent performance in a role that has many shades ranging from comedy to emotion. His action during the dating scene brings a smile. And it’s a tailor-made role for Christine as she fits the bill aptly. The other cast are just okay.
Technicalities:
Given that it’s launch film for director Dharma, he has done a fair job within the limitations of budget. Cinematography is decent and songs are OK.
Analysis:
Like many other films set in the backdrop of US, this oft-repeated tale has shades of several coming of age dramas told earlier in Telugu and elsewhere. The first half is so slow that you could easily avoid watching it and still you manage to understand the film. Second half is relatively better compared to first part.
Placement of the songs mars the film’s narrative and disconnects one from the film. Regular “commercial” elements are missing to a major extent and this movie is more of a multiplex targeted rather than single screens. The film’s stumbling block is its serious content as it sans entertainment quotient.

KCR To Demand A CBI Inquiry On Chandra Babu?

Share
Will the political rivalry between Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu and Telangana Chief Minister KCR take a new turn? There are stories going around in political circles that the Telangana government is ready to pass two resolutions against Chandra Babu Naidu any time soon. A controversy has surfaced over the 850 acres of land which was allocated to IMG Bharath when he was the chief minister of united Andhra Pradesh. In fact, he had assigned the land to them when he was the caretaker CM.
Later, when the Congress came to power, the deal was taken back. The latest media reports suggest that KCR government has decided to start an inquiry into the matter now. Meanwhile, the T government is also considering launching another inquiry into the allocation of 500 acres of land to Emaar Projects during Babu’s term. According to the stories, the Telangana government is all set to officially request the Central government to launch a CBI probe into the two issues.
Though the CBI had already inquired Emaar deal in the past, at the time, CBI was criticized for staying away from Chandra Babu Naidu. So, if T government requests an investigation, will the Centre respond pro-actively? Apparently, the T government is also contemplating to move the High Court and then the Supreme Court if Centre does not oblige.
Chandra Babu will have nothing to worry about in the IMG case as the deal was struck off long back. However, the Emaar case might turn into a slight headache for Babu if the Telangana government insists on an inquiry through CBI. Since the case is already being handled by CBI, this might turn into a pain point for Babu. If their plans work out, the political rivalry between KCR and Chandra Babu will reach a totally different level.

Pawan Fans Are After Bandla Ganesh

Share
Fanism looks good as long as it is healthy and doesn’t irritate others. Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s fans have crossed the line and started to irritate all the others personalities in Tollywood. They started this trend with Chiranjeevi, followed by many other celebrities including Nagarjuna, and now they are after Bandla Ganesh.
This comedian became a ‘Blockbuster’ producer with ‘Gabbar Singh’ and Ganesh never missed an opportunity to express his love on Pawan Kalyan. Currently, Ganesh is producing ‘Temper’ with Young Tiger NTR and it’s a routine thing for this ‘Iddarammayilatho’ producer to make noise on Twitter before his film’s release.
So, Ganesh said, “TEMPER WILL DO WONDERS THIS PONGAL THANK U MY BAADSHAH & PURI SIR”. This didn’t go well with Powerstar fans and they started to abuse Bandla Ganesh. They even forgot that Ganesh tweeted very positively about ‘Gopala Gopala’ motion poster. This insane behaviour of fans can bring bad name to their own favourite actor.

Shutdown in Parts of Hyderabad to mark Babri Anniversary

Share
A shutdown was observed in parts of Hyderabad Saturday on a call given by some Muslim groups to mark the 22nd anniversary of the demolition of the Babri Masjid. Shops, business establishments and educational institutions were closed and vehicles were off the roads in the old city and other Muslim-majority areas as police stepped up security to prevent any untoward incident. The usual hustle bustle around historic Charminar was missing while the roads in the centuries-old markets wore a deserted look.
Shops downed the shutters in response to the shutdown call given by the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM), Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT) and other groups. Police said the situation was peaceful. Large number of policemen and personnel from paramilitary forces were deployed near historic Makkah Masjid. A tight vigil is being maintained across the old city as the attempts to take out rallies by some organisations and also celebration of Vijay Diwas by some others led to violence in the past.
Police have banned rallies, meetings, rallies, processions and dharnas in the limits of both Hyderabad and Cyerabad police commissionerates to maintain peace and harmony. Hyderabad Police Commissioner M. Mahender Reddy said the orders were issued in view of reliable information that certain groups are trying to create disturbances affecting public peace and order and inciting communal animosity between different communities.
Black flags were hoisted at many places in the old city as Muslim groups have called for observing black day. A shutdown is also being observed in Nampally, Mehdipatnam, Asif Nagar, Toli Chowki, Golconda and other areas of the city. Muslims also participated in the shutdown in Nalgonda, Mahabubnagar, Nizamabad, Adilabad, Karimnagar, Warangal and other towns in Telangana. Police have sounded the alert across the state in view of the shutdown call.

Special Status without name tag for AP?

Share
According to reports coming from Delhi, there are chances that the state of Andhra Pradesh might be given the much awaited tag of special status. But again this may not be possible with the existing name. This is because other states ruled by different CM’s have been objecting that all their projects would be going off to Andhra Pradesh.
Hence, sources say that Modi government has assured AP that there wouldn’t be any such special name called special status. However, Andhra Pradesh will get the same benefits. It has to be seen whether Chandrababu would accept this proposal. The prevailing opinion is the benefits matter and not the name as such, so this may be fine for AP.
In a way, special status is only possible when other state CM’s also give their support during a meeting of National Development Council. Given the way Naidu has been pushing AP aggressively, the special status is going to be a shot in the arm for the state’s development.

Clean Chit for Sweta Basu

Share
In a cinematic turn of events, actress Sweta Basu Prasad, who was allegedly involved in a sex scandal, has finally come out of it “clean”. The sessions court in Hyderabad on Friday has given a “Clean Chit” for the actress in a prostitution case where she was “caught” in a star hotel few months ago.
“Yes, I’ve been given a clean chit from a sessions court in Hyderabad. I can’t begin to tell you what a relief it is for me and for my family. My parents are smiling for the first time in months,” said Sweta Basu who was cleared from heinous charges. The Kotha Bangaru Lokam actress further said, “This was just the vindication I was waiting for.
Although I had already put the incident behind me there was still a closure that I needed to put on the issue. All my earlier charges from the trial court have been withdrawn. I can’t describe the relief I feel. It’s like my name has been cleared after months of doubt and suspicion.” She further added, “I now see how futile and unnecessary the whole episode was.
I am glad to be alive and kicking and raring to go. Life looks beautiful and hopeful. My only regret is I was put on trial by a section of the media. I should’ve been given the right to defend myself. Never mind. Now that my name has been cleared I hold no grudges against anyone.” The 24-year-old Sweta is now looking forward to begin a whole new life and restart her “sagging” acting career.

Temper’ Stars Getting Shares, No Cash!!

Share
Earlier we have reported that both Jr NTR and Puri Jagan have agreed to take ‘area’ rights of their upcoming flick “Temper” from producer Bandla Ganesh rather actually taking the remunerations. NTR has picked up Nizam rights, while Puri took Ceded rights to claim his remuneration. And another star from this Temper team joins the list now.
Writer Vakkantam Vamsi is on a role ever since his films like Kick have clicked big time. Recently he scored another big hit with Race Gurram after tasting success with Yevadu earlier this year. Unconfirmed reports have that he is pocketing around 1 crore as a remuneration per a film. Coming to NTR-Jagan’s Temper, Vamsi isn’t paid in cash, but he is given Nellore district rights as part of his pay check. If the film clicks, he will get around 2 crores into his accounts, says a trade expert.
On a whole, this particular film making looks like crowd-funding project as hero, director and writers will get paid only through rights. If the movie clicks, they will pocket a heaven, else they have to walk away with peanuts.
