Superstar Fans Harass Telugu Director After Film Flop

A peculiar and troubling situation has emerged involving a Telugu filmmaker, who is reportedly facing sustained harassment from fans of a superstar following the failure of their recent film at the box office.
According to sources, the filmmaker has been subjected to relentless trolling and nuisance tactics after fans redirected their dissatisfaction with the hero and the film’s outcome toward the director. The situation escalated after the filmmaker inadvertently revealed his residential address during a promotional event.
Since then, a series of prank activities have reportedly targeted his residence at Kolla Luxuria Villas in Kondapur. Multiple food delivery orders from platforms such as Zomato and Swiggy, along with bulk orders for medical equipment from various pharmacies, were placed in his name and sent to his house. The repeated deliveries caused significant distress to the villa’s security staff, who were forced to verify each order at the security checkpoint.
In an unusual incident, when security personnel contacted the director to confirm one such delivery, he initially responded affirmatively instead of denying the order. However, matters spiralled out of control when more than 100 food delivery items reportedly arrived at his residence in a single day, overwhelming both the household and the security team.
Left with no alternative, the filmmaker reportedly instructed the security staff to block all deliveries sent in his name, a move that brought temporary relief to the villa management.
Meanwhile, sources also reveal that the director visited the cybercrime unit along with his lawyer to file a formal complaint. The complaint reportedly pertains to fake alternate social media accounts that are allegedly trolling the superstar’s fans on Twitter while impersonating the film’s creative producer.
The incident once again highlights how extreme fandom and online hostility in the film industry are increasingly turning directors and producers into easy targets, often bearing the brunt of audience anger when films fail to meet expectations.
