This Diwali, the team behind Patang has officially unveiled the film’s much-anticipated release date! The vibrant sports comedy is set to soar into theatres worldwide on December 25th, 2025, perfectly timed with the Christmas festivities.
Originally slated for December 2024, the release was postponed to allow the filmmakers to perfect the high-end CG work. After a meticulous post-production journey, Patang is now ready to light up the big screens — bigger, brighter, and even more entertaining than ever.
A first-of-its-kind sports comedy in Telugu cinema, Patang revolves around an exhilarating kite-flying competition, bringing a fresh and playful concept to audiences.
The film stars debutants Preethi Pagadala, Vamssi Pujit, and Pranav Kaushik, supported by seasoned actors Anu Hassan, S.P. Charan, Vadlamani Srinivas, Vishnu Oi, and Sivanarayana in pivotal roles. Directed by Praneeth Prattipati, the film is produced by Vijay Sekhar Anne, Sampath Maka, Suresh Reddy Kothinti, and Naani Bandreddi under the banners of Cinematic Elements and Rishaan Cinemas.
A leading production house will soon be announced as the film’s presenter, promising a grand theatrical experience this Christmas.
