Patang brings together two debut production houses—Cinematic Elements and Rishaan Cinemas—along with Monsoon Tales, the banner that recently delivered a blockbuster with Raju Weds Rambai. Positioned as a youthful, celebratory entertainer, the film is designed to appeal to both families and young audiences, weaving together themes of friendship, love, and vibrant community spirit.
One of the film’s biggest highlights is a thrilling 30-minute kite competition climax, promising a visually spectacular and emotionally charged finale. With its quirky characters, fresh faces, and lively storytelling, Patang aims to stand out as an ambitious small film that dreams big within its creative limits.
Music for the film is composed by Jose Jimmy, while the visuals are brought to life by cinematographer Shakti Aravind. The cast features Pranav Kaushik, popular singer from Zee SaReGaMaPa and an award-winning short filmmaker; Vamsi Poojith, who makes his acting debut and is also known for his strong filmmaking background as well as being actor Saanve Meghana’s brother; and Preethi, a well-followed social media influencer who makes her acting debut with Patang and has already signed her second film.
The film is produced by Vijay Shekhar, Sampat Maka, Tarun Kumar, and Ramya Vemulapati, with Praneeth Prattipati serving as writer-director and Nani Bandireddy as creative producer. Nearly ten newcomers are introduced through the project, many of whom have already caught the attention of major production houses.
Set against the festive backdrop of Hyderabad, Patang celebrates friendship in all its colours while delivering humour, emotion, and strong visual flair. The makers promise a refreshing cinematic experience packed with laughter, heart, and vibrant characters—making Patang a must-watch on the big screen.
