Pawan Kalyan Advises Vijay on Strategic Alliances

Share

Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan reportedly called Tamizha Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay, cautioning him against contesting elections alone without forming strategic alliances. Sources suggest Pawan warned that going solo could jeopardize Vijay’s political future, potentially echoing the fate of Chiranjeevi when he launched the PRP.

The conversation underscores the high-stakes calculations in regional politics and the importance of forging partnerships. Insiders indicate that Pawan’s advice may be aimed at encouraging Vijay to consider an alliance with the BJP, reflecting Pawan Kalyan’s own political approach.

While alliances can help new entrants gain visibility and a stronger foothold, history shows that party leaders who remain under bigger allies rarely ascend to the Chief Minister’s post. For instance, Chandrababu Naidu became Chief Minister with alliances but ensured his major ally was always subordinate in the state.

If Vijay follows Pawan Kalyan’s counsel, he may secure a significant position, such as Deputy CM, but the Chief Minister’s post could remain out of reach, similar to Pawan Kalyan’s own political trajectory.
